The state preceptor raised his hand and retrieved the painting with his spiritual force. He then rolled it up as he walked and handed it over to her. “Why did the First Miss of the Shen Family co all the way to Jialan Hall?” he asked.

Feng Tianlan looked at his chessboard. It was a single-sided attack. The black pieces were only defending. After seeing that, she stretched out her slender fingers and put a black chess piece on the board. The black pieces that were on the defense instantly struck back, making the ga a tie.

After saying that, he decided where to put his chess piece. He then placed the white piece in his hand onto the board.
Feng Tianlan realized that the situation had been reversed. Her black pieces were now under attack. She had to sacrifice one piece to save another. However, both pieces were very important to her. No matter which piece she chose to sacrifice, she would still end up being defeated.
“One must lose sothing to gain sothing. Miss Feng must not worry too much about gains and losses.” The state preceptor gave her so advice when he saw her hesitating.
After listening to his Zen words, Feng Tianlan glanced at him. She then curled her lips and giggled as she put the black piece on the board and said, “I cannot bear to sacrifice either of the two.”
Right after she placed her black piece, they ca to a tie once again. She broke out of the encirclent, fought the enemy, and protected both her front and back. Although she had killed her enemy, she sacrificed herself. She decided to perish with him.
As long as it was sothing she cared for, she would never choose between two options. She decided to join the fight personally to protect her own people.
“Miss Feng has a lot of courage.” The state preceptor wasn’t holding any chess pieces, as if he had surrendered. However, he didn’t spoil the ga. He just raised his head and looked at Feng Tianlan. “Doesn’t Miss Feng want to know about her future with the Demon King?” he asked.
