Chapter 222: Tu Xiupei Turns Into a Big Joke
Xi Jin passed the other letter of recomndation to Feng Tianlan and stood up. “But if one is not a phoenix in the first place, no matter how high she flies, she will never be a phoenix, rely a crow!”
Tu Xiupei saw that the other letter of recomndation had been placed in front of Feng Tianlan and panicked. But then, she thought about what Xi Jin had said and felt glee in her heart. Big Brother Jin was saying that Feng Tianlan was a crow, a symbol of bad luck. He was standing up for her.
Feng Tianlan looked up at Xi Jin and saw Tu Xiupei’s gleeful face out of the corner of her eye. She curled her lips a little. Did Tu Xiupei think that Big Brother Jin’s words were ant for her? That was obviously a warning to Tu Xiupei.
“I will not stay any longer in the Guiyuan Continent. I take my leave.” Xi Jin looked at the calm and emotionless Feng Tianlan. There was a strange feeling in his heart as he realized that she understood what he was trying to say.
Tu Xiupei hurriedly stood up. “Big Brother Jin, you’re going back to the Xuantian Continent already?”
He had just arrived the day before, and he was already going back?
Xi Jin nodded and looked at Tu Xiupei for a long ti but decided against saying what was in his heart. “Till we et again.”
If she were really Dai’er, they would surely et again. He was going back to ask if she was indeed Dai’er. If she were, then he would co back to fetch her.
“Then...” Tu Xiupei turned his words around. “When will see each other again?”
Wasn’t he taking her with him? Wasn’t she the one he was looking for? Wasn’t she the phoenix?
“Wait for to go back and ask. We may et again soon.” He had to ask Ya’er if Tu Xiupei was really Dai’er or not.
Tu Xiupei watched Xi Jin climb onto Xiaoqing’s back and disappear into the distance. Her face filled with disappointnt. She couldn’t understand why he didn’t bring her along since she was the empress he was looking for.
Feng Tianlan opened the letter of recomndation, and her eyes imdiately turned icy. This letter had been sent from the Shens, and it was stamped with the Shen Clan Seal. This was the seal that her Second Uncle cheated her out of.
When Feng Tianlan thought about all the things that had happened before she’d died, her phoenix eyes turned red with hatred and her grip crumpled the letter. She was suffering while they were enjoying life with all the things they’d taken from her!
“Only the top ten individuals from the Guiyuan Continent have a chance to go to the Xuantian Continent.” Tu Xiupei looked at the recomndation letter then at Feng Tianlan. She continued talking as if she were a kind younger sister. “Eldest Sister, I’ll ask Master to recomnd you, then I can also teach you a few things, and we can go to the Xuantian Continent together.”
Once she managed to get Feng Tianlan into the Flying Frost Pavilion, she was going to make sure she died there.
Feng Tianlan snapped out of her vengeful state and folded up the recomndation letter.
“But, to get into Flying Frost Pavilion, you have to pass all the tests set by various other academies before you even have a chance to qualify. Eldest Sister must get into an academy and take a test first. Then, I’ll ask Master to recomnd you.” Tu Xiupei put herself on a pedestal and saw herself as graciously lending Feng Tianlan a hand.
Feng Tianlan looked at Tu Xiupei and snorted. She couldn’t be bothered with her. “Your cinnabar field has been damaged. I wonder when it’ll be repaired.”
She couldn’t believe how forgetful Tu Xiupei was. Tu Xiupei’s cinnabar field had very nearly been destroyed by her the night before. Now, Tu Xiupei was arrogantly pretending to be rciful—she really thought that she was so big shot.
Tu Xiupei’s face clouded, but she didn’t dare throw any tantrums for her image’s sake. She just looked over at Si Mobai and coquettishly said, “I’m tired. I’m leaving.” Then she turned to the guests and said, “Everyone, take your ti to eat and enjoy yourselves. I have to take my leave now.”
She stashed the letter of recomndation carefully and was about to leave, but the server that she ordered around earlier ca up to her and blocked her way. “Miss Tu, you need to pay the bill first.”
