After they ate snacks and light lunch together at Sofia's ho, the five of them, redith, Aaron, Atlas, Ace, and Sofia hung out in the living room to play Monopoly, a real-estate board ga for two to eight players, in which the player's goal is to remain financially solvent while forcing opponents into bankruptcy by buying and developing pieces of property.
As they noticed that soon, it will be evening, Aaron got their attention. "Oh, sorry, redith, guys… it's gonna be 6 PM soon. I have to go and do so howork."
redith and Sofia gave him a teasing look, the two boys scoffing at him as they couldn't believe what they heard.
"You really do howork? Why not skip it?" When Atlas said this, redith hit his arm, making him chuckle. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm just amazed that he really does his howork."
"Opposed to you," Ace started, teasing his twin brother. "You often skip howork to the point that sotis, the teacher scolds you."
"Shut up," Atlas replied with a loud chuckle. "As if you don't do it as well."
Sofia narrowed her eyes at the boys in disappointnt. "You two seem so proud of what you're doing in the past…"
redith arched a brow at her. "Says the girl who'd often skip classes with ."
"Woah…" Aaron laughed at them, shaking his head in disapproval. "To think that you guys should be my role model, but listen to what my ears are hearing right now," he added, everyone now laughing as they had almost forgotten about the ga that they're playing.
"Anyway…" redith stood up, letting out a small sigh as she gave her little brother a hug. "You tell
when you get ho, alright?"
"Yes, of course," Aaron said, looking at the others. "I may be doing my howork at the last minute, at least I don't skip and cut class," he added, Atlas playfully rolling his eyes at him.
"You're missing out on all the fun you could have alone or with your friends. You can cut and go to the arcades and--ow!"
As redith was still standing, she gave a small kick on his leg, stopping him mid-sentence.
"Don't listen to him," redith said, sticking out her tongue at Atlas. "You're a good guy. I'm proud of you for being responsible. You keep at it, yeah?"
"Aight," Aaron said, now waving good bye to the others. "See ya soday, guys. Thanks for the hangout."
As redith walked Aaron to the door, the other three looked at the ga, no longer having the interest to continue and finish the ga.
"Playing Monopoly always took so much ti," Atlas said, a chuckle coming from his twin brother.
"Excuses. You're glad it ended. Aaron was the richest among us and you're already at the brink of bankruptcy." he said, Sofia laughing at how the brothers are interacting with each other like they are children.
"Oh, you're just happy because back when we played this as children in school, you often lost," Atlas mumbled, still enough for Sofia to hear.
At the sa mont, redith ca back to the group, not bothering to sit back down. She got their attention as she told them a suggestion.
"Seeing as the evening is almost here, shall Sofia and I prepare ourselves before we head out?"
"Go," Ace answered with a flick of his hand as well. "Won take too long to dress up. Atlas and I will just stay here and watch sothing."
Sofia narrowed her eyes at the boys. "You two aren't going to change?"
Ace and Atlas looked at each other then back at the won. With them doing a shrug at the sa ti, anyone who would look at them would remind them of Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the twins of Alice and Wonderland.
Always talking in unison, or finishing each other's sentences… or moving as one.
Really a twin thing.
"We don't need much ti in dressing up. You two go. How are we going to change when what we're wearing is okay? Where are we going… the ballroom," Atlas said, the girls just rolling their eyes at them before they left.
The twins laughed a bit when they watched their retreating figure. As they tidied up the ga board of the Monopoly instead, they decided to just stay here in the living room while waiting for the girls.
"Could you believe it?" Sofia said, scoffing as well. "They don't get that we're dressing up for them--well, for us, to be exact."
redith shook her head, her grin never leaving her face. "Ignore them. Anyway… it's been long since we went out together, with them, even."
"True," Sofia said, the two of them already reaching Sofia's bedroom. "Anyway… seeing as you two ca here with no bags and all, I take it that you borrow clothes from ?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at her.
"Yup," redith answered, a wink coming from her. "Very convenient that we always have the sa sizes, huh?"
"Typical of you, redith. And you know I can't say no."
And with that, the two of them entered the room, imdiately going to the wardrobe to see which clothes they are wearing for tonight.
redith cocked her head to the side. "Where are we going to eat dinner, by the way?"
"Oh, just a simple, but okay place. Since you told
that you'd be leaving soon, like tomorrow, let's eat like a pig today."
redith widened her eyes. "Eat like a pig--are we going to a buffet?"
"Let's have unlimited Korean barbeque," Sofia answered, already browsing for casual clothes hanged in her wardrobe. "Besides, the boys definitely love a lot of unlimited at being grilled. All we do is act cute, and eat like a baby pig."
redith couldn't help but laugh. As they also thought that Korean barbeque does sound appetizing considering that they only had soft lunch, the won thought it's okay to not be too conscious when it cos to their diet today.
"Consider it as a cheat day" as most won say especially now that it is a rare occasion that they get to eat out as a group.
