Four days had passed since the Human-Beast Synergy class in a blink of an eye. In these past four days, Athar had settled well in his new life at the academy and had beco used to his new routine. A routine where he did not have to run from one part ti job to another; where he did not have to scramble for his savings. Where he could have the fill of his food and had not to worry about the next al.

The morning would begin with breakfast, then attending Vale's class.

Vale had started to delve deeply into the topics, and in the past four days, Athar had learned many new aspects of cultivation. His understanding of cultivation had deepened, and slowly but steadily, he was in the process of building a solid foundation for himself.

The rest of the day would almost remain free, during which students could do as they wished. Athar spent the majority of his ti either in the library or the training ground. The past four days, Athar had spent doing research about which battle techniques he could choose.

A few of the students, who probably had a deeper and prior knowledge about all these aspects, had already selected their techniques, and so of them had also brought a few techniques with them. These were the techniques either from their family or brought from the outside.

In the evening ca what every student had started to dread: Sankul's combat classes. As he had said to be prepared, the class would generally begin with basic exercises like running, push-ups, and even weight training. Then, when the bodies of the students had almost been drained, Sankul began guiding them on basic martial arts and combat techniques. He was harsh in his approach and did not give any breather to the students.

Athar was at ease during these classes compared to the other students. His initial thought was that probably it was because he had been training himself physically for years, he did not feel that strain.

But as he learned and his brain worked, he realised one thing. He would not be the only person who had been training from a young age. There were other students who seemingly belonged to rich households and probably had so cultivator to guide them from a young age. They must too have gone through brutal training.

He also felt that his body was unusually stronger than it had always been. The sa distance which he used to run, he could cover in a lesser ti and did not even feel tired. He was stronger, faster, and had more stamina.

And through all this, he ca only to one conclusion: this was most probably because of Sarpinash. Sarpinash was a silver-grade beast, and thus, the attributes which he must have received from him must have started to affect him.

But even so, this did not seem entirely possible. He had witnessed an overall boost in all his attributes. If it was only because of Sarpinash, then probably only his agility should have been boosted. Also, if it was a non-elental thing, the attribute boost would have taken so ti to show its effect.

The second thing which ca to his mind was the Tree of Origin. He did not know for sure, but he had an inkling that his unusual strength and the enhancent in his physique was because of the Tree of Origin.

Athar, though exhilarated by the presence of the Tree of Origin in his mindscape, especially because of the two fruits that would grow on them, was a bit suspicious towards it too. He had this inkling that the Tree of Origin ant him no harm, but it was still an unknown thing. A phenonon which had been unheard of. And slightly fearing the unknown was the right thing to do.

Athar was walking through the corridors of the academy. His destination: the library. The library in the academy was huge. An entire section of Block A was occupied by it. It was spread over 3 floors and contained thousands of books.

The first floor contained the most basic of books and the standard books, those which had a reputation and were widely accepted to be true. Books on this floor ranged from the history of the world to geography, to politics. From those about cultivation to those about battle techniques to those about different kinds of beasts. From combat to exercises suitable for the body.

The second floor contained the more obscure of books which dealt with so obscure topics. These were the books with concepts which were not widely accepted or dealt with topics which generally no one had any interest in. But even so, this section was no less important, as there could be tis when a person might be in extre need of these obscure books.

Then ca the third floor, probably the most important of all the floors. This floor housed the battle techniques. Well, not the techniques actually, but the detailed descriptions of all those techniques. It described the effects of the techniques, if there were any pre-requisites to master them, or how hard it was to master certain techniques or the precautions that one would need to take for a certain technique.

The student was required to do his or her research in library, about the techniques that he or she would need, then they could get it from the exchange counter.

As Sankul had already said, the Nawarin Academy had techniques of two grades: Yellow Grade and Profound Grade.

All Yellow Grade techniques were free. All profound-grade techniques had to be paid for.

But any student could not get any number of yellow-grade techniques. He or she was eligible for 2 Yellow Grade techniques for free. To get another technique of Yellow Grade, he or she would have to pay for it: 200 points per technique.

The price of the Profound Grade technique was not uniform for all of them. The cheapest of it would cost 350 points, and a few techniques went as high as 700 points.

And today, Athar was here to finalize two of his Yellow Grade techniques.
