It was almost noon when we woke up. Well, noon is when I woke up but those girls were still soundly sleeping, muttering so words that I couldn't understand at all. I tried but I failed to do so.
So, I left them alone.
I missed our free breakfast. Now that it is noon, I need to fetch lunch at a price, which is unavoidable. Soon those drunken sisters would wake up and would be hungry, more than . So, it's best to bring food to the room, rather than eating on the lower floor.
I quickly freshened up myself and went downstairs to order our food.
"Hello, I would like to order lunch for our room", I told the Innkeeper as soon as I saw her.
"Okay Sir, what food should I bring and how much?" she asked.
Th quickly placed three portions of almost everything that is available on the nu. The innkeeper seed happy. To her, the more she can sell, the better.
The food can be preserved but preserving would make it lose its taste as ti goes on and even when prepared well, the food wouldn't taste as good as it should.
So, foods that were brought from far regions should be cleared out as soon as possible. At least that was my opinion on why she seed happy.
Maybe she was happy just because of the money she would earn soon for the order.
Well, what I said would also apply as fresh and tasty food ans better prices for them. They can earn a few copper more per plate as long as it tastes better than usual.
So, in the end, clearing out food fast ans better-tasting food and that ans more money can be collected from the custors.
After ordering and paying for the food, I returned to the room we rented.
The sisters were still sleeping. So, I sat by the window and started reading the newspaper about today's news. Yeah, the Empire has a newspaper, while Glessaria doesn't.
Of course, this paper is not a daily production, a monthly production. Everything that happened in the past thirty days would be printed on this.
For the locals most of that might not be news as much would have been known to the people before the monthly paper ca out but the news printed here is genuine.
People spread rumours better than the truth. So, this can prove whether they heard the truth or a lie. Also, for visitors like , it would be very useful as I can't ask others what I don't know about.
I an, I can ask common questions like, who is the current emperor or who might beco the next emperor or things like that.
I can't exactly ask about things like, Does the empire have helicopters?
If he had heard about them in passing, I can ask about that but without knowing whether they exist or not, I can't just ask things like that and look like a fool.
So, the newspaper would be very helpful.

Half an hour later, there was a knock on the door.
I went to see who it was. It's the Inn's maid dragging our food on a cart, fresh and hot.
"Sir, here is your food", she said in a respectful manner.
Hmm, she looks weird. Not as they appeared as they were when I saw them downstairs.
Oh, I see. She is showing her assets.
Is this to attract and get a good tip? Well, I have to tip her or else the next food might co with her spit in it.
I have heard back on earth, that so restaurant servers when angered would spit in the custor's food to vent their anger. I don't know whether that's universal or not but I am not going to find out about that.
"Okay, place them there", I said to the maid.
She nodded and dragged the food cart to the place I said.
After placing the food down, she turned towards bowing a little.
Oh, god. She was definitely doing that on purpose. I can see those big and beautiful mountains clearly.
I gave the twins a look. They are quite asleep, lying on their bellies with their faces turned to the opposite side. They can't see anything.
I took out a small pouch with coins in it and placed that between her mountains, but not before enjoying them a little bit with my hands.
The maid's face reddened but she said nothing.
