Xi Zhiqiang opened the door, slling so strongly of tobacco and alcohol that Su Tian’s eyes watered.
When he saw Su Tian, a strange expression flashed quickly on his face. Without asking Su Tian to co in, he shouted into the room: “Soone’s here for you.”
Then, ignoring Su Tian, he turned around and went back in.
A voice quickly ca from the room: “Is that Jie Jie? Wait a second, I’ll be right out.”
A rustling sound followed.
Su Tian raised her eyebrows, what was this naughty kid doing in the room? She replied: “Okay, no need to rush. I’ll wait outside for you.”
After a while, Su Tian saw Xi Yun open his bedroom door and co out. She didn’t know what he had been doing, but his face was red and sweaty, with a purple patch on his forehead.
Su Tian’s heart tightened for a second, pulling him out of the apartnt and whispered: “What happened to your head?”
Xi Zhiqiang didn’t beat him again right?
When she got closer to him, she slled sothing strange, sothing pungent but not unpleasant. Su Tian felt as if she’d slled it sowhere before, but couldn’t recall.
Xi Yun covered his wound and blushingly said: “I accidentally bumped it on the coffee table when I went to pick sothing up.”
Su Tian was a little suspicious. Su Tian looked him over and found that he didn’t seem to have any other injuries. She let out a sigh of relief, at least it seed like it wasn’t too serious.
She asked: “My mother and I are going to the capital during the November break. Do you want to co with us?”
Xi Yun’s eyes brightened, but, he seed to have thought of sothing, and his eyes imdiately dimd again. Before he could speak, an impatient man’s voice ca from the room:
“You’re not allowed to go anywhere. You stay ho obediently, you hear ?”
Su Tian was a little surprised. She had thought that Xi Zhiqiang would be happy to be temporarily rid of Xi Yun, this child from a previous marriage. After all, if Xi Yun wasn’t there, it would be much easier for him to bring a woman back.
Xi Yun lowered his head: “Jie Jie, I’m not going. You and Auntie can play together.”

When she went down the stairs to her ho, He Qingwan rushed to ask about his situation. Su Tian just said: “Xi Yun’s dad won’t let him go.”
He Qingwan was a little disappointed and also a little annoyed with Xi Zhiqiang. But, that was still Xi Yun’s father, he had the power to decide whether or not Xi Yun could go with them.
She could only helplessly say: “Then forget it, let’s just buy more presents for him when we co back.”
