The energy pistol discharged a concentrated blast of energy at Kai, forcing him to retreat montarily. Da used this opportunity to back away and create so distance, buying himself ti to recover and evaluate.

The blade connected, severing Kai's arm in a shower of sparks. Kai roared in pain and staggered backward, clutching the bleeding stump.
Da didn't let up. He surged forward, unleashing a rapid series of strikes. The energy blade sliced through Kai's defenses, tearing into his flesh.
Finally, with a desperate blow, he struck a fatal blow. Kai collapsed.
The battlefield fell silent. The only sound was the whirring of Fireboy's systems.

Da exhaled, relief washing over him. He had proven that Fireboy was a force to be reckoned with.
"What's next?" Da asked, his gaze eting Paul's.
"We proceed," Paul said, a flicker of sothing that resembled a smile touching his lips. "You have shown Fireboy's capabilities. Now, we have a job for it."
