The icy wave froze everything as it passed—both visible and invisible objects, including Hengsheng, who was hiding within the concealnt veil!

"You!" Hanbing roared in anger at the man who had been frozen in mid-air. She finally caught the person responsible for the appearance of the purple vortex clouds!

"Secure the ritual! I will kill him myself!" she shouted to all the Blood Fiend Palace’s mbers as she prepared the killing technique.

In the frozen state, Hengsheng—trapped in the ice—opened his glowing golden eyes as he simulated his Sun Gaze genetic trait. Heat built up within his entire body, and a blazing aura rose, defrosting the ice around him.

The ice lted into water, evaporated into mist, and exploded.

BOOM!

Imdiately after Hengsheng broke out of the ice, his golden eye turned brighter, bursting with brilliant golden light. Then he disappeared from the spot, avoiding the icy blood needle storm that flooded upon him.

Hengsheng reappeared in another spot far away from the wicked woman with the Divine Staff, who had just attacked him earlier with the icy blood needle storm and was now coming after him from a distance.

"Dare to dodge my technique!" Hanbing scread as she perford another technique, a thousand blood fiend claws erged around her, extending toward Hengsheng’s direction.

Hengsheng gritted his teeth and moved swiftly through the sky, dodging the attacks from this wicked woman.

While Hengsheng moved, he also observed the ritual below. The blood that rose from the people floated into the sky and rged with the Bloodstone, causing it to float higher as the crimson light it emitted grew brighter and spread wider.

The crimson light was slowly killing more mortals as ti passed. The millions closest to the altar were already dead, and those farther away had begun to be affected by the crimson moonlight.

Hengsheng continued to act, constantly activating the dinsional shift ability, opening countless dinsional vortexes, and teleporting people away from this place. He knew he couldn't save them all—and he didn’t intend to. His only goal was to save as many as he could, especially innocent children.

The blood claws chased after Hengsheng close behind—Almost reached him.

Hengsheng turned mid-air, his eyes glowing in brilliant golden light, and then he fired a Solar Blast!

A beam of golden light, like a spear of light, soared forward and collided with the blood claws, causing a violent reaction that destroyed many of them.

However, the blood claws were too nurous and too durable for him to destroy them all. Dozens slipped through the Solar Blast's attack range and struck Hengsheng, tearing into his body.

Hengsheng’s body was torn into five pieces and thrown away like garbage by the blood claws. But the injuries didn’t kill him—he was a Hyperhuman. His life force was far greater than anyone could imagine!

The torn wound sprouted wooden roots that quickly reached out, connected, and pulled all the severed parts together, restoring his entire body as if he had never been torn apart.

"What?!" Hanbing couldn’t believe what she saw. She began to doubt whether this man was even human; he might be so kind of spirit race who had taken the form of a human to survive such a wound.

Hengsheng relied on the elent of surprise, pointing his index finger at the woman. His fingertip shone brightly, then fired a powerful, piercing ray of light—Heaven-Piercing Index Technique!

Hanbing snorted at the incoming attack and waved her Divine Staff, creating a blood veil to shield herself against the piercing strike.

The piercing ray of light collided with the blood veil; it could not pierce through it at all. The light was swallowed into the veil before completely disappearing.

The blood veil perfectly intercepted the attack without even a dent. But she noticed the man had already disappeared again—fleeing from her. She beca angry when she realized this.

How dare you try to run away from !

"You can't hide!" Hanbing smashed the staff into the air. An invisible wave of power spread outward, revealing the man’s location once more. She smiled coldly and soared toward him, intent on ending his life.

Hengsheng, seeing that his attempt to flee had failed, couldn't help but curse himself for being weak. He brought out the Heaven-Grade Healing Pill from a daily reward a few days ago and consud it to recharge his life force.

While Hengsheng was fleeing from the wicked woman, his eyes looked at the altar, seeing the hundreds of demonic experts performing the ritual. Flashes of thought appeared within his mind.

'If I stop them, will the massacre of mortals stop?' Hengsheng thought. He imdiately tried and rushed toward the altar.

"You dare!" Hanbing, seeing through the man's intention, shouted. She quickly activated the defensive formation around the altar.

'Hm,' Hengsheng made a sound in his throat as he saw the blood barrier surge from the ground, covering the whole altar. He did not stop what he intended to do. His eyes burning, he fired the Solar Blast!

BOOM!

The solar beam hit the blood barrier. A small dent appeared on the surface, but it recovered imdiately.

A storm of icy blood shards appeared behind Hengsheng as he was about to attempt a more powerful attack against the barrier, forcing him to stop his action. He quickly dodged and fired another Solar Blast to destroy them.

'I have to get rid of her first!' Hengsheng thought. His eyes narrowed, facing the enemy.

One more ti, attempting to fight the wicked woman another round. His golden eyes shone brightly, unleashing a torrent of heat waves—not a simple beam attack, but a burning of the entire atmosphere before him.

Hanbing saw everything before her ignite and burn, turning her entire vision into a sea of fire. She cast the blood veil before her, but this ti it couldn’t fully shield her, as the attack ca from all directions.

She could see her skin slightly burning—this only stirred her anger to the next level. A cold aura rose from her body as ice scales began to form on her pale skin, shielding her from the heat. Then, with a wave of her Divine Staff, thousands of icy blood needles surged toward the man's head.

Hengsheng focused the heat on the incoming icy blood needles, intending to burn them into nothingness before they could reach him. But the difference in power didn’t allow him to do such a thing—the size of the needles was reduced by less than half before they struck him, forcing him to retreat.

Hengsheng held both hands over his face, shielding it from the needle attacks. He suffered a lot of injuries from this attack; there were many wounds on his arms and upper body. He also sensed a powerful poison contained within the needles, attempting to freeze his blood.

Fortunately, his body was not that of an ordinary human race—the poison acted differently on him. It only slightly numbed his sense of touch.

While he was fleeing and trying to dispel the numbness, blood claws swung at him from multiple directions.

Hengsheng's eyes turned sharp, deciding to spend half of his Spiritual Qi to perform a powerful technique—The Thousand-Ard Divine Palm.

Hengsheng spread his arms, which glowed with a green light of Wood Qi. A thousand wooden arms ford behind him, catching the incoming blood claws with their hands.

Then the thousand wooden arms emitted a divine golden aura, shattering all the blood claws within their hands in an instant. Above Hengsheng's head, an image of a thousand-palm Buddha ford.

Hanbing was shocked—she had never seen such a technique before. Before her stood an image of the golden figure seated in a lotus pose, eyes closed. The thousand arms rged into one, then extended the palm toward her.

Then, she heard the man's voice for the first ti.

"Amita…" Hengsheng uttered softly—a whisper of farewell, as if sending the soul to a better place.

The Divine Palm struck directly at her, the weight of her own karma, both good and bad, pressing against her body and soul, sending her hurtling backward uncontrollably for a great distance before coming to a stop.

Hanbing coughed up blood and felt her soul had been injured. Her expression twisted in fury—she was now beyond enraged.

"Lady Hanbing!" many demonic cultivators shouted in shock. They had observed the battle the entire ti; they did not expect the enemy would stand a chance against the Grand Elder, but he had just injured her!

Hanbing's twisted face slowly turned emotionless; she no longer shouted at her enemy. The atmosphere around her began to shift.

Hengsheng sensed it too. He was surprised—and more than that, he sensed the woman's dangerous aura rising by several levels for so unknown reason.

Under Hengsheng’s watchful eyes, Hanbing cast the Divine Staff, conjuring a gigantic pair of Blood Fiend claws. Unlike the previous blood fiend claws she used earlier, this pair looked far more imposing and defined. They began to move, extending toward him.

Hengsheng’s sense of danger scread, telling him to dodge this attack. He followed his instinct, his eyes glowing with golden light as he transford, his entire body beca part of the light and moved along with it.

At the speed of light, his perception beca completely distorted—he couldn’t fully comprehend it. Such as each ti he moved at light speed, he experienced the feeling of being in two places at the sa mont.

However, this ti was different. While in a light-state travel, usually, he should be untouchable in this state, but this ti, he clearly sensed that sothing had touched him.

The mont he exited the light-state, a sharp pain struck him. He noticed that the lower part of his body had frozen—not normal frozen in the ice, but a complete and absolute freeze. His Hyperhuman cells were dead. As he moved slightly, the lower half of his body disintegrated into dust.

Hengsheng did not dare to hesitate and began escaping, unwilling to let that blood fiend's claws catch him a second ti.

His Divine Sense could sense that from behind, the woman was still following him—nonstop. Not only her, but so other demonic cultivators were also leaving their positions and beginning to chase after him.

He gave up on fighting this woman and just kept moving and dodging her attacks while healing himself and saving the helpless people below.

Even though he was strong enough to fight Grand Unity experts—even so of the weak ones at the peak of this cultivation realm—he still wasn’t strong enough to confront those who had taken a half step into the domain of the Dao: the Half-Step Dao-Treaders!

But even if Hengsheng couldn’t… soone else could!

"ow!!!!" Yunsu jumped out from Hengsheng's shadow and leapt toward the wicked woman!
