Chapter 60: If It Was Senior Kimura...

At six in the evening, Kazuki was still researching the Magatama.
At unit 1204, the 12th floor of the Suiryu Duplex Apartnt, Sena Nagayama was busy in her kitchen. She held onto a plate and exclaid, “This is the last dish!”
Everybody was looking at the dishes on the table and were unable to hide their hunger any longer. Even Furuhashi Akino, who was always holed up in her room, gaming away, picked up her chopsticks to eat so of the dishes sneakily.
Furuhashi Fuyuno was sitting beside her, did not stop her. She instead followed her without any care in the world. Had it not been Furuhashi Harunaka looking at the dishes, the food would have been finished by then.
Furuhashi Natsui, who was sitting opposite them, was engrossed in her phone. The sound of tapping was heard as she typed away on the screen.
When Sena Nagayama ca near, she patted Natsui’s head, “Why are you still on your phone? It’s ti to eat!”
Sena Nagayama was the sa as Furuhashi Fuyuno when she was younger. Both of them were big eaters.
However, Furuhashi Fuyuno’s cooking skills were horrible. If she took the ti to learn to cook, then maybe the food prepared by her wouldn’t be ant for the trash. In contrast, Sena Nagayama had a natural affinity for food. The Huaxia dishes she made for everybody today were taught to her by a chef of a Sichuan restaurant in Huaxia Street in downtown Yokohama.
Mapo Tofu, broiled at, stir-fried beef with chili, Chinese cabbage drizzled in oil, fried eggs with tomatoes, and stead fish. That was all the dishes the Furuhashi family was having for their dinner. Although there were plenty of dishes, Sena Nagayama believed that with the presence of Furuhashi Fuyuno, there would be no leftovers.
Coupled with Furuhashi Akino’s avid taste in spicy dishes, she had nothing to worry about.
Even Furuhashi Natsui, who was busy with her phone, could not help but put down her phone when she slled the aroma of the food in front of her. She looked at the food as she swallowed her saliva.
In a matter of seconds, she entered the fight for food.
Looking at the scene, Sena Nagayama gave a big smile, “I have good news for you all today.”
The four of them who were eating did not say anything. They signaled her with their eyes instead.
“My husband and I are preparing to hire you a tutor.”
Upon hearing that, the four Furuhashi sisters put down their bowls in sync and bellowed, “We disagree!”
The four of them knew all too well about the sufferings a tutor would bring to them since their middle school days. Their enthusiasm would burn the brightest when they started, and toward the end, they would just barely entertain the tutor. This went to show that they did not have an affinity for studies and that it would be better if they focused on sowhere else.
Indeed... Just when they thought that their young aunt ca to see them, she was actually hiring a tutor for them instead.
“You have no right to disagree!” Sena Nagayama was glad that she didn’t have to discuss this with the four sisters. If she did, it would take a long ti before they managed to persuade her to do otherwise. Sensing objection in their voice, she toughened her tone, “I have already made a deal with him, I will let him co over to help the four of you out in your studies, you have to accept it.”
“Him?”
“The tutor’s a guy?”
“No! It’s even worse if it’s a guy!”
“Why a male tutor!?” As the eldest, even the usually soft and sweet Furuhashi Harunaka was angry, “Aunt, did you and father forget about the incident with Shiraki?”
Furuhashi Harashin had always been averse to hiring male tutors. Once, a friend introduced a male tutor nad Shiraki. Before the agreent was signed, there was a rumor about him installing a pin-sized cara and spying on students in their hos.
After the news got out, Furuhashi Harashin gave his friend an earful, and fear lingered in his heart. The Furuhashi sisters knew of this incident, so they felt a great deal of dislike when it cos to hiring tutors, regardless of gender.
A male tutor can install spy caras, but so can a female tutor!
Sena Nagayama’s point was weakening, so she added helplessly, “Relax, he’s from your school this ti around. Nothing of that sort will happen.”
“Still a no from us.” Furuhashi Natsui was getting frustrated, “Who’s to say that Sakura Kyu Academy’s teachers are all good? Sakura Kyu Academy used to have a reputation for being a delinquent school. The teachers who could go on teaching under such conditions must not have been any good themselves.”
“I agree with Natsui’s point.”
“I second that!”
Senna Nagayama said faintly, “I didn’t want to hire a tutor in the first place, but look at your asly examination results. Do you girls rember how much you scored?”
The Furuhashi sisters found themselves unable to speak suddenly. They had been lying to their young aunt about their results since they were in middle school, and they finally got exposed today. But... that does not an that they would agree to cooperate, even less so about hiring a male tutor. That just made it the more reason for them not to agree to it.
“Also, I never ntioned that he is a teacher at your school. The person I hired is a student.” Sena Nagayama’s tone softened, “You must have heard of him before, he’s the biggest delinquent in the academy. But I have made a trip to your school to observe him. He’s an exemplary student and has his principles. He scored full marks on all tests in his first year in high school. It can be said that he is a prospective student at Tokyo University.”
When Sena Nagayama finished, she noticed that everyone was quiet around her, she felt perplexed.
After a while, Furuhashi Harunaka was the first to open her mouth. She said carefully, “Is that Senior Kimura?”
Furuhashi Natsui was also shocked. Even though her aunt did not ntion any nas, but the biggest delinquent in Sakura Kyu Academy should be Kazuki. She was suddenly excited, and she picked up her phone to announce it in a group.
She told her club that she was not Kazuki’s girlfriend during the club activities this afternoon. She thought that the club mbers would be disappointed and leave the club. That was not the case, everybody was simply in disbelief instead... The news then spread like wildfire, and a lot of girls joined Kazuki’s Fan Club after that.
This made her co back to her senses. All the girls must have fallen for Senior Kimura. They were planning to make a poster of Senior Kimura to be pasted on the walls of the club room within these two days. They were even more enthusiastic than before.
However, when she picked up her phone, she put it back down again. No rush, she would make the announcent once everything was in order. Before her aunt could talk, she added off-handedly, “I have no opinion if it’s Senior Kimura. I had heard about him when I entered the academy. Senior Kimura is Sakuray Kyu’s prodigy student. Not only did he manage to help other seniors to make it into their dream university, the mbers of the Sword Believer Club, excluding the new mbers, are all in the top 100 now. They are still rising steadily. If Senior Kimura cos and teaches us, I am sure that we will see improvents in our results.”
Furuhashi Fuyuno, who was eating beside her, simply chid, “Hmm... I agree with Natsui’s opinion.” Since she ca here all the way by herself, that must an that she was firm with her decision. They would not be able to persuade her otherwise in the end. But since it was Senior Kimura, they could give this a try.
After all, Senior Kimura helped her out twice, and he was not as fierce as the rumors made him out to be. Natsui also told her that Senior Kimura’s family condition was not great, it was good that they could help him without hurting his dignity.
“Well... if so, I have no objections.” Furuhashi Harunaka looked as if she agreed because of Natsui and Fuyuno. However, deep down, she knew that Kazuki helped her in applying for the funding of the Kendo Association when the funding was actually transferred from the Sword Believer’s Club.
She owed him gratitude. Now that she knew that Kazuki was to be their tutor, she was quite happy about it.
Sena Nagayama was confused. Never would she thought that Kazuki’s reputation was so great. However, since everybody agreed to it and she was scared that everybody would go back on their words, she imdiately added, “If so, I will discuss further with Kazuki tomorrow. I will let him co over next week to tutor you all!”
Furuhashi Akino, who was busy eating, was dumbfounded. What is going on? Wasn’t everybody objecting to her hiring a tutor just now? Now, the direction of the wind changed totally, and everybody is agreeing to it?
It can’t be it even if it is Senior Kimura. As long as they had a tutor, it would be a big no for her. Her goal was to beco a gaming legend. How could she waste ti on her studies? However, everybody at the dinner table had already changed the topic when she wanted to speak out her thoughts.
Furuhashi Akino felt like crying as she ate.
