Chapter 744: New Journey

Zheng Ren was busy at Chengdu Provincial Hospital. Another 12 hours had passed.

After the mont of silence ended, he lowered his head and raised it again.

“Next.” Zheng Ren said as he let out a long sigh.

“Doctor Zheng, we’ve just received the previous orders. The dical team has arrived. You guys are going back,” Chief Chen said.

Zheng Ren was stunned. They were going back so suddenly?

Although he had heard from Su Yun that the follow-up dical team was approaching, he was still a little stunned when he received the order.

“The flight is at six o’clock in the afternoon.” Chief Chen looked at the titable. The doctors on the Imperial Capital flight would reach the Imperial Capital at six o’clock in the evening.

He looked at the regretful expression on Zheng Ren’s young face. He walked over and patted Zheng Ren’s shoulder, saying, “Thank you for your help. It’s ti to go back and rest.”

This was an order that could not be refused.

Zheng Ren thought for a mont and nodded.

Seven days had passed. The golden 72 hours had long beco history. The rescued patients had been treated. Although there was still plenty of surgeries remaining, it would not be a major problem in Chengdu now that the follow-up dical team had arrived.

When he suddenly heard this news, Zheng Ren felt a sense of loss.

The strong feeling in his heart dissipated. His fatigue was like a tidal wave that threatened to consu his entire body.

“Boss, they’re here.” Su Yun saw that Zheng Ren did not say anything. He pointed at the people who had just changed their clothes and entered the corridor.

Zheng Ren nodded and was silent.

“Doctor Zheng, go take a photo,” old Chief Chen said.

This was the rule that had always been followed. Taking a photo as a nto could help to refresh the traces of ti when they saw the photo a few years later. It would make the mories that had occurred then clearer.

“Boss, do you want to put on so makeup for you? Your face is bruised. It doesn’t look good,” Su Yun asked jokingly in a rare mont of relaxation.

“Co, Yiren.” Zheng Ren waved at Xie Yiren who was busy in the operating theater.

“Huh? What’s wrong?” Xie Yiren was about to prepare the next surgical instrunt when she saw Zheng Ren waving at her. She walked out sowhat puzzled.

“The follow-up dical team is here. We’re going ho,” Zheng Ren said.

Xie Yiren was stunned. She had only been here for less than a day.

Damn it, it was all Zheng Ren’s fault!

Little Yiren imdiately recalled that when she was in the supermarket, this guy actually turned off his phone and did not reply to her ssages.

However, she did not insist or act willfully. She just nodded and raised her ponytail.

“Yiren, how are you going to go back?” Su Yun asked.

“Leave the car here. I’ll tell my dad and get soone to drive it back.”Xie Yiren leaned closer to Zheng Ren and said, “I want to fly back with you guys.”

She was very cautious as if she was afraid that Zheng Ren would leave without saying goodbye again.

“Let’s go back. I want to have a massage first and then sleep under the blanket for three days and three nights. I’m so tired!” Su Yun mumbled.

He brushed past the new doctors. Their eyes were filled with determination and conviction.

He did not say anything. Just eye contact was enough.

When he ca to the changing room, Zheng Ren sat quietly in a corner and started to daydream.

He had not enjoyed daydreaming for a long ti. After entering Sichuan, he had been running around tirelessly, trying to save every minute and second.

It was really a strange feeling to suddenly be free.

“Boss, have a cigarette.” Su Yun conjured a box of cigarettes like magic and threw one to Zheng Ren.

“Where did you get this?” Zheng Ren was surprised.

“Is it that difficult to get a box of cigarettes from soone?” Su Yun looked down at Zheng Ren’s question. He had done a good job in the surgery. Why did he still need to think about these things?

Zheng Ren smiled and took out a cigarette from the pack, putting it in between his lips.

The lighter in Su Yun’s hand mimicked a Zippo. He rolled the starter as a spark jumped between his fingers as if by magic.

Zheng Ren did not smoke much and had not studied these dazzling things before. In his opinion, smoking was smoking, that was it. Eating was also eating, which was sothing he needed to do out of necessity. As for whether it was delicious or not, that was another matter.

He opened the window, warm and humid air flowing in. As he approached the window, Zheng Ren took a puff.

“Take a shower and change your clothes. It’s ti to go ho.” Su Yun’s voice was a little ethereal as if he was lost in his mories.

“I still have a lot of things to do once we’re back.” Zheng Ren thought for a mont and said, “When the ti cos for us to do TIPS surgery until you want to vomit, don’t complain.”

“It’s okay. There are rich and powerful people here. It has nothing to do with . I just need to be responsible for data processing, as well as collecting and organizing information. For , just moving a little is enough.” Su Yun did not care. He raised his hand and moved his little finger.

“I feel that the place is a little small. The ward isn’t big enough.” Zheng Ren felt a little regretful.

Now that his interventional level was close to the Pri-level, Zheng Ren felt that his speed in performing the TIPS surgery was absolutely incomparable.

Faced with the sea of patients at the Imperial Capital, he felt like the ward would be incapable of holding all the patients he would be conducting surgery on.

Moreover, there was still the second phase of TIPS surgery to be perford. It would be a headache.

“Boss, do you know that Concorde did not intervene in the ward at all?” Su Yun said leisurely.

“Uh... I didn’t.” Zheng Ren did not know about these gossipy things. He shook his head.

“Back then, the old chief physician of Union dical College was an academician of the two academies. His status in Jianghu was extrely high. As you know, Union dical College is a small place. The hospital wanted to give him a small ward but the old man rejected it,” Su Yun said.

“Why?” Zheng Ren did not understand.

Giving him a ward in Union dical College Hospital was a great thing. Why would anyone reject it?

“I don’t know either. I only know about this matter. Right now, Old Chief Physician Pan of Union dical College has no ward, so he can only go to other wards and perform surgeries there,” Su Yun said.

Hmm? That was a thought.

“Moreover, if you want to increase the volu of surgeries, I think it’s one thing to only do it in this hospital. More importantly, you should go for freelance surgery.” Su Yun was very active in giving advice and planning. It seed that this matter had passed through his mind a few tis recently.

“I’ve thought about this.” Zheng Ren nodded.

However, to do freelance surgery, he needed to take advantage of his weekends. He did not know whether he’d still have his job if he kept going out.

“As for the rest, my mind has been muddled recently and I haven’t thought too much about it. I’ll just take it one step at a ti,” Su Yun said

Yes, he could only take it one step at a ti.

As long as he had the skills, there was nothing to worry about.

As for ti, Zheng Ren was not sure. He would have to wait for Dr. har to co and discuss it. When the ti ca, he would have accurate information.

After smoking, he threw the cigarette butt into the toilet and flushed it away. Zheng Ren then began to take a shower.

It was just a simple shower. He would not be able to wash away his fatigue and dust.

Going back did not an that Zheng Ren would be much more relaxed. It was a brand new journey.
