On the mountain path, the battle continued.

Chris displayed his formidable strength, engaging in a showdown with two grandmaster-level fighters all by himself.

Mickey and Amond were also quite a match, although they couldn’t compete with Chris as newly advanced grandmaster fighters, in their two-on-one scenario, they weren’t at a disadvantage at all.

"Not able to defeat them?"

All of a sudden, Chris’s brows knitted together tightly. Mickey and Amond’s strength exceeded his expectations, shattering his hope to seize them both in one fell swoop.

Mickey and Amond smirked coldly.

Chris thought he could overco them single-handedly, it was nothing short of a fools’ dream. His confidence was sowhat blind.

Down below, two middle-aged n focused their gaze on Zhang Xian, sowhat puzzled.

Is this guy here to watch a show?

"Two idiots."

Seeing that the other two grandmaster fighters had no intention of making a move, Zhang Xian sneered coldly and moved towards Chris.

The battle was still ongoing.

Upon seeing Zhang Xian approaching, Chris didn’t take him to heart. A youngster like him couldn’t possibly pose any threat to him. Not everyone could partake in such level of combat.

Mickey and Amond were also sowhat puzzled by Zhang Xian’s appearance.

At this mont, however, they needed to fully focus on tackling Chris, not sparing any thought to anything else.

"Huff..."

Right at that mont, Zhang Xian abruptly made his move, appearing behind Chris in an almost teleport-like manner. His outstretched palm was imbued with an imnse force as he struck towards Chris’s back.

On the surface, he seed like a pretty boy. However, he was actually a practitioner with a terrifying force behind him. Underestimate him was akin to seeking death.

"Damn..."

Chris felt an imnse pressure coming from behind him and hastily dodged to one side.

Unfortunately, he failed to seize the right opportunity. He was left with no place to dodge under the attacker’s speed which was no less than his own, he took a palm-strike directly that sent him flying, accompanied by a shower of blood.

"How is this possible..." Mickey and Amond revealed shocked expressions.

The youngster before them unexpectedly possessed such formidable strength, Sending Chris flying several ters away, spewing fresh blood with a single palm strike.

"Your enemy is down there, either kill them or leave." Zhang Xian looked at Mickey and Amond, saying, "Actually, I wasn’t too keen on cooperating with you either, but I didn’t have a choice. The current situation in the rcenary world is grim, if you fall, it also ans that the end is near for the rcenary world, sothing I don’t wish to see."

Seeing this, two grandmaster fighters were taken aback montarily before they exploded in fury, charging ruthlessly at Zhang Xian.

Damn this youngster, he was playing dumb while waiting for a chance to strike. They hadn’t expected him, a youngster, to possess such terror-inducing strength.

"Kill..."

Amond and Mickey turned around, facing the two grandmaster fighters.

"Dammit..."

Chris turned his head to look at Zhang Xian, the flas of fury danced in his eyes.

The plan to capture Mickey and Amond was flawless, leaving no room for suspense. Even if he failed to capture Mickey and Amond, there were still two other grandmaster fighters present.

Unfortunately, their plan was ruined by a youngster. Such a perfect plan, shattered just like that.

"You must die." Chris, with a deathly pale face, glared at Zhang Xian and said angrily.

Zhang Xian craned his neck, looking at Chris to say, "We shall see. Although you’re powerful, don’t forget that I am an ancient martial arts practitioner."

"So what?" Chris sneered coldly.

While it’s true that ancient martial arts practitioners were formidable, he had no chance of winning if they were at the sa level. However, the youngster in front of him was barely in his twenties, how formidable can he be no matter how prodigious his skills were?

Furthermore, Chris has been at the grandmaster level for nearly two decades, making significant progress over the years. How could he be afraid of a re youngster?

At once, Chris sprung up like a tiger descending from a mountain, pouncing at Zhang Xian.

"Haha, bring it on!" Instead of retreating, Zhang Xian advanced, his rotating hands moving like a windmill, producing a series of afterimages as he struck towards Chris.

Having reached tier six peak body refinent, he hadn’t had a decent fight yet. Today’s opponent would undoubtedly let him verify his own strength.

"The youngster’s strength is impressive." Chris was surprised inwardly.

China’s ancient martial arts is the most powerful but also the hardest to practice, requiring the accumulation of ti as one progress. Those able to enter the innate realm in their thirties were already considered heaven-defying beings. Yet the youngster was only in his twenties, his strength had already surpassed the innate and was approaching the grandmaster realm, to the point where it shocked his conscience.

Furrowing his brows, he clapped his hands together, containing a terrifying force. "Young fellow, if this is all you’ve got, I must regretfully inform you that your death is certain today."

"Is that so?" Zhang Xian smirked mysteriously, the strength contained within his palms was suddenly on the increase, similar to a flood that had broken through a dam, surging overwhelmingly.

"How can this be...?" Chris saw Zhang Xian’s power surge suddenly and imdiately lost his composure.

However, his title of king of rcenaries wasn’t for show, he possessed extrely rich combat experience and in no ti had regained his footing.

"Bang..." Their palms collided.

Zhang Xian frowned, took a few steps back, looking sowhat surprised.

This old fellow living up to his title as king of rcenaries, his concealed strength prevented him from dealing another heavy blow. Chris reacted very quickly.

"Dammit..." Chris was also having a hard ti.

In the skirmish just now, he did manage to fend off Zhang Xian’s continuous strikes, but it didn’t give him an upper hand; his right hand was throbbing sharply.

Since breaking through the Grandmaster Realm, he rarely finds adversaries, never having been at a disadvantage. Yet today, twenty years later, he found himself outfoxed by a youngster, the feeling was truly damn maddening.

"This old man is so strong. Even if he is a little injured, I am no match for him." Zhang Xian looked at Chris, his brows furrowed tightly.

During their brief confrontation, he had roughly estimated Chris’ strength, which was a great deal stronger than his.

After scanning the situation over at Mickey and Amond’s side, he charged towards Chris again. However, when Chris attacked, he abruptly changed directions, heading toward the other two.

"This guy ..." Chris’s face contorted in response, promptly adjusting his attack trajectory.

Zhang Xian sneered, and deflected with multiple bursts of spiritual energy, then said to Mickey and Amond, "Whoever you are, you better get going, I’ll cover your withdrawal."

Mickey and Amond hastily retreated, looking sowhat taken aback.

Seeing Zhang Xian charging towards them, they glanced at each other and, without hesitation, turned and sprinted towards the base of the mountain.

"Where do you think you’re going..."

The two Grandmaster combatants saw this and proceeded with pursuit.

"Don’t bother."

Zhang Xian waved his hand, sending out several bursts of spiritual energy, cutting off the paths of the two Grandmasters and darted in another direction.

"Damn it, what the hell is this?"

Chris intended to stop Zhang Xian, but a sudden strong burst of power drove him back.

After a mont of hesitation, he saw Zhang Xian try to escape, and his rage flared up. He quickly gave chase, "Little guy, you can’t get away, just die quietly. I might make it painless for you."

"What’s happening?" The two Grandmaster combatants also encountered the sa situation as Chris, halting abruptly in their tracks.

The montary pause allowed Mickey and Amond to put so distance between them.

"Haha ..."

Zhang Xian leapt high into the air, and after plunging into the forest, he sent back two more slashes of spiritual energy, "Old man, you couldn’t catch if you tried, just save your energy."

Chris blazed forward, pushing his speed to the maximum, hurling himself towards Zhang Xian like a hawk.

"Snap ..."

At that mont, two large trees suddenly tilted, falling towards Chris.

"Bastard ..."

Chris, in a burst of rage, waved his hand, cleaved the tree and resud the chase.

"Haha ..."

Zhang Xian sprinted whilst intermittently emitting spiritual energy.

Behind him, trees tumbled down, obstructing Chris’s way. The distance between them grew wider and wider.

"How can this be?" Chris found the situation perplexing.

When it ca to speed, he was a smidgen faster than the kid ahead. However, the continuous fall of trees left him unable to keep pace, the more he chased, the further he fell behind.

"Shit, they got away." The other two Grandmasters brought their pursuit to a halt, seething in anger.

They finally had an opportunity to isolate and kill Mickey and Amond, but it was spoiled by a young upstart. In the end, it all amounted to wasted effort.

"He’s out of reach."

Chris ca to a stop as well, staring angrily at the ever distant Zhang Xian.

"Damn it... what a waste of ti." The black grandmaster approached Chris, his eyebrows knitted tightly together, "Who was that lad just now? How does he possess such exceptional power?"

Chris shook his head, "I don’t know, it’s my first encounter with him."

"Let’s get those bastards into action!"

The other Grandmaster approached their huddle and said coldly, "Now that Mickey and Amond dare not return to the rcenary organization, it’s a good ti for us to strike. We mustn’t let them scatter."

...

In the woods, a human figure was darting around swiftly, agile as a rabbit, leaping several ters away with every bound, completely unaffected by vines and weeds.

At one point, the frantic runner suddenly halted and looked back.

After a short while of not detecting any movent, he jumped down from the hillside and continued to sprint forward.

The person darting with incredible speed was none other than Zhang Xian, who had just co from the mountain.

With three Grandmasters chasing him, he was not sure if they would give up easily, thus he dared not let his guard down. But once he made sure there was no one behind him, he finally felt at ease.

"Hmmm? Sothing seems to be happening up ahead."

About ten minutes later, Zhang Xian burst out of the woods into a small village nearby.

The village was not large with only about ten households, all in low, dilapidated brick houses, exuding an intense feeling of barrenness. At this mont, the shrill screams of anguish echoed from a large house.

"What’s going on?"

Zhang Xian hesitated for a mont before moving towards the village, his senses, like ripples, quickly extending towards the scene ahead.

Just as his senses reached inside the house, his face suddenly turned grim. His body transford into a whirlwind and swept through toward the house’s main entrance.
