Chapter 612: Chapter 612 Ancient Civilization_1
"Be an enemy to the entire ancient martial arts world? Are you crazy?"
Mo Shaoyun said to Zhang Xian, "Right now, you can only run when you encounter two Grandmaster-level strong characters. How can you fight against the entire ancient martial arts world?"
"Don’t I have formations?"
Zhang Xian said, "I might not have dared to fight them before, but it’s not like before now. As long as the resources from the sect have all been transferred, even if the mountains are sealed, it won’t delay the construction of the sect. I don’t need to be afraid of them. After the formation is opened, do you think those ancient martial artists who don’t understand anything can break in?"
"They can also join forces, right?" Mo Shaoyun said, "This formation, isn’t this how you guys opened it?"
"Do you think I will give them a chance? I have a few Grandmaster-level strong characters on my side."
Zhang Xian said, "No matter what, as long as you guys are not threatened, I will be at ease. What I am most worried about now is you guys."
Mo Shaoyun gave a bitter smile and asked, "What about the divine spokesperson? Although the ancient martial world and the divine spokesperson are at odds, what advantage can you gain by starting a war with the ancient martial world at this ti?"
"Do you think I have the chance to choose now?"
Zhang Xian said helplessly, "Once the formation is closed, when those guys see , do you think they will believe that I didn’t get any benefits? Among them, I’m the only one who understands formations."
"Let’s not break the formation for now, wait until you’re confident." Mo Shaoyun suggested.
Zhang Xian shook his head, "Eh, that’s not possible. Needless to say, those guys won’t believe us. Now that I have resources in front of , why should I let them go? I promised the Five-eyed Divine Demon that I would bring him out of here before I would go. I have to keep my word. That defensive formation of mine is going to have to rely on him for so cover."
Mo Shaoyun said, "Nothing is impossible, I see that you are impatient, you like to take risks, and you are becoming more and more crazy."
Zhang Xian asked, "I’m always steady in what I do, how am I taking risks?"
Mo Shaoyun said, "Your definition of steady is for us, right? As long as we are safe, you start to have fun, showing off in various ways, is this called steady?"
"Uh, let’s not talk about this, let’s go down and take a look."
Without wanting to discuss this issue further, Zhang Xian pulled Mo Shaoyun and Blood Soul, and leapt down into the deep abyss.
"Ah..."
Suddenly free-falling at high speed, Mo Shaoyun felt as if her heart was about to jump out of her throat and she let out a high-pitched scream.
"Wife, why is your voice so sharp?" Zhang Xian shook his head a bit then abruptly let go of Mo Shaoyun.
Mo Shaoyun felt like she had escaped from Zhang Xian’s control and was even more terrified, screaming, "Ah...Zhang Xian, what are you doing?! Why are you letting go of ...you..."
"Heh..."
Zhang Xian chuckled, his right hand suddenly swept around, drawing Mo Shaoyun into his arms.
"You... you scared
on purpose?" Mo Shaoyun said, angry.
Zhang Xian said, "How could that be? Didn’t I just see you get scared and want to hold you, to give you a sense of security? When you scread, your voice was so penetrating...I couldn’t bear it!"
"You’re despicable..." Mo Shaoyun clung tightly to Zhang Xian like an octopus, not daring to relax at all.
Just at that mont, the scene abruptly changed. The receding rock face blurred out of sight in an instant, replaced by a spacious room.
One second they were free-falling at extre speed, the next second they were already in the room.
"Elder Sister Shaoyun, can you let go of
now?"
Zhang Xian looked down at Mo Shaoyun, and smiled lewdly, "You should know, it’s been a while since I’ve ’indulged’. You’re being so overtly provocative, I could easily lose control."
"Uh... don’t go ssing around." Mo Shaoyun hurriedly let go of Zhang Xian and took a few steps back, her face wary.
Zhang Xian looked at Mo Shaoyun, his face bitter, "Actually, Elder Sister Shaoyun, we’ve been together for more than a year, we’re practically engaged...but why do I feel so strange?"
Mo Shaoyun turned her head away, ignoring Zhang Xian.
"I...I understand..." Zhang Xian had already figured out Mo Shaoyun’s temper and didn’t broach the subject again.
He knew that Mo Shaoyun had already opened up her heart to him, accepting him as her husband from the bottom of her heart. However, when there were outsiders around, Mo Shaoyun was still rather conservative.
"Hmph..."
Mo Shaoyun rolled her eyes at Zhang Xian, and asked, "Where are we? Why are we in a room?"
"This is where the formation eye of the outside formation is."
Zhang Xian glanced over and found a staircase nearby. He smiled, "Let’s go upstairs and have a look."
Mo Shaoyun nodded, following Zhang Xian’s lead.
The staircase was curved upwards and quite long. At the end of the stairs, there was a room not much different from the one below, shaped like a cylinder. In the center of the room, there was a diamond-shaped crystal, similar to a jewel, floating in mid-air. It emitted a faint light blue glow, like shallow water ripples.
Other than the diamond-shaped crystal in the middle, there was nothing else in the room, it felt very empty.
"It’s so beautiful."
When Mo Shaoyun reached the second floor and saw the diamond-shaped crystal, she wanted to reach out and touch it, to see what it felt like.
Won always seem to have a weak spot for things like diamonds, and seeing such a pure, football-sized crystal in front of her was hard to resist.
"Don’t touch it recklessly, it’s the focal point of the formation," warned Zhang Xian.
"This object has strong defensive power. If you use the wrong thod to interact with it, it will activate the formation and launch an attack against you."
"Um..."
Mo Shaoyun hurriedly retracted her hand. "Why didn’t you say that sooner? I almost touched it."
"How was I supposed to know that you would be inclined to touch it as soon as you saw it?" Zhang Xian responded with a bitter smile. "You won are always powerless against such things. It seems to be in your nature."
Mo Shaoyun turned to look at Zhang Xian, annoyed. "And have the nerve to talk? Apart from that bracelet, what else have you given ? I just wanted to touch the stone, and you’re complaining?"
"Um, I’ll make it up to you next ti."
Zhang Xian scratched his head uncomfortably. "Let’s leave this for the mont. Let’s go out and take a walk. See what the sect in Spirit Mountain looks like and what good things are waiting for us inside."
"Ok, let’s go out and have a look. I don’t know what the civilization of the ancient tis was like!" Mo Shaoyun responded, her eyes sparkling with excitent.
Scenes like this were not sothing one could see lightly. There was a fundantal difference between cultivators and normal people.
Zhang Xian turned to look at Mo Shaoyun. "Why are you so excited?"
Mo Shaoyun replied, "Don’t you think it’s exciting to be able to see a civilization from ancient tis? This is the civilization of the ancient tis, after all!"
"If you look at it with a sense of curiosity, you might be disappointed. The ancient civilization was actually quite simple," Zhang Xian laughed.
Mo Shaoyun argued, "That shouldn’t be the case! Cultivators and normal people are different. What cultivators create is naturally incomparable to normal people, even though technology might not be as developed as today."
"If they were to create, the cultivators would definitely be more badass. However..."
Zhang Xian shook his head with a smile, "Their objective is different from ours. Our modern theory is to make our lives better. Everything is centered around life, and our mindset also starts from life. For example, when you go sowhere, or see sothing, isn’t your first thought about how good it would be to live there or own it?"
"The thoughts of cultivators are completely different to ours. Whatever they see or wherever they go, the first thought they have is about cultivation. Whether it is places or objects, everything is related to cultivation. As a result, cultivators focus on cultivation, and so things in life beco unimportant."
"That’s true, the goal of cultivators has always been to cultivate. Only with great strength can they guarantee their security," Mo Shaoyun agreed.
Zhang Xian said, "Therefore, the lives of cultivators are not as good as you imagine. They are always in competition, and those who seek comfort are far and few between. In the world of cultivators, the strong are highly respected, killing is common, and without strength, there would be no right to live. Although it’s sowhat similar in our modern society, it’s not nearly as direct."
"Let’s go and take a look!" Mo Shaoyun laughed.
Zhang Xian nodded and looked down at Xiao Huo in his arms. "Co on, little guy, isn’t it ti for you to understand the situation a bit? Always staying in your Elder Sister Shaoyun’s arms, what do you think you’re doing?"
"What do you want?" Mo Shaoyun stared at Zhang Xian. "Don’t ss with
now, my status is different."
Zhang Xian gave a bitter smile. "What I ant was this little guy can be used as a mount too, not just for cuddling. Otherwise, wouldn’t that be a waste of resources?"
"Roar..." Xiao Huo didn’t seem pleased with that.
Mo Shaoyun shook her head. "No way, I’ll keep holding him."
"Don’t you think..."
Zhang Xian winked at Mo Shaoyun, laughing, "It would be romantic for us to ride on Xiao Huo and roam around this ancient civilization?"
"Well..."
Mo Shaoyun seed to be moved. She patted Xiao Huo’s head and said "Xiao Huo, beco bigger."
Xiao Huo turned his head away, not seeming to care.
Carrying two people certainly wouldn’t be as comfortable as lying in Mo Shaoyun’s arms. The scent on this elder sister was very pleasant and comforting, no matter how much ti he spent there.
"Xiao Huo, you’re so naughty!" Mo Shaoyun complained. "I’ve spoiled you previously."
Xiao Huo scratched his head, hesitated for a good while, then suddenly jumped out of Mo Shaoyun’s arms. He then spun in mid-air and transford into a battle-ready form then landed on the ground in an impressive stance.
Seeing this, Mo Shaoyun petted Xiao Huo’s head, "There you go, good boy!"
"Ha ha..."
Zhang Xian laughed loudly, then, unceremoniously, he picked up Mo Shaoyun, placed her on Xiao Huo’s back, and pointed forward, saying, "Xiao Huo, let’s take a leisure stroll."
Xiao Huo grunted unhappily and started moving reluctantly.
Mo Shaoyun leaned against Zhang Xian, tightly held by him, feeling a bit uncomfortable. However, she was also enjoying the feeling.
"Roar..."
Upon seeing this, Blood Soul also wanted to jump onto Xiao Huo’s back.
"What are you trying to do?"
Zhang Xian waved him off angrily, "Do you have any sense? Can we not play happily together? We’re having a romantic mont here, why are you spoiling it?"
