Chapter 423: 423_1

At those words, Zhang Xian’s face paled instantly.

Not only did he act like a beast towards Xiao Nan that night, but he also crossed the line with Mo Shaoyun? How co he couldn’t rember a thing?

Man, this was a huge loss, he didn’t feel anything at all!

"You’re absolutely reckless."

Xiao Nan stared at Zhang Xian, "This ti, not even a god could save you."

"Uh..."

Zhang Xian scratched his head, muttering, "That’s not right! I can’t rember anything, so that ans I didn’t do anything, right?"

Xiao Nan said, "Not rembering doesn’t an it didn’t happen. Why did I wake up feeling sick the next morning? And why was there blood on the couch?"

Zhang Xian frowned, "Well, I’m not sure."

"Forget it, what’s done is done. No amount of words can change that, even if I kill you, it won’t change anything."

Xiao Nan added, "However, even though Mo Shaoyun hates you to the bone and things seem bleak between you two, nothing is absolute. I hope you don’t give up."

"What do you an?" Zhang Xian asked, confused.

Xiao Nan sighed, "No big deal, I just genuinely hope you and Shaoyun could be together. I think nobody else is fit for her. Just try your best in the future! I will help you."

"Am I that outstanding?"

Zhang Xian chuckled, "I didn’t realize it before, but seems like Sister Nan has a good impression of !"

"Don’t flatter yourself."

After rolling her eyes at Xiao Nan, Mo Shaoyun said, "I need to go in. You think about it! If I can help you, I will."

"Mmm, I’ll take this very seriously," Zhang Xian nodded with a smile.

Originally, when he found out that he had crossed the line with Mo Shaoyun, he already abandoned any hope. Mo Shaoyun was persistent on many paths - she wasn’t the kind to give up easily.

But after listening to Xiao Nan, he regained so confidence. After all, he was a Cultivator. In many ways, he had the advantage that others lacked.

...

As the night deepened, the bustling hospital quieted down.

In the corridor, Zhang Xian sat alone, smoking a cigarette, contemplating his next move.

Mo Shaoyun needed protection and the mastermind behind the scenes was still at large. Matters with Nangong Wu were even more severe, involving hidden families under the public eye.

Evil Cultivators might not dare to blatantly wander the streets and expose themselves to others’ attacks, but families were different. They had power, and they were not afraid of retaliation.

In any era, power and influence were the most important. Who would dare go against these families, even among the Evil Cultivators? The days of suppressing evil sects are over.

"Who exactly is trying to harm Mo Shaoyun?" Zhang Xian mumbled.

He asked Xiao Nan previously - she knew about the Mo family’s affairs as much as Mo Shaoyun. However, he didn’t get anything out of her; Xiao Nan was clueless too.

It’s as if the conspiracy appeared out of thin air with no signs or causes.

"Tap, tap, tap..."

Suddenly, footsteps sounded from one direction. A doctor in a white coat was slowly walking down the hallway.

Zhang Xian turned his head and scanned the doctor with his divine senses. Suddenly, his eyebrows furrowed tightly.

"Knock, knock, knock..."

The doctor walked to the door of Mo Shaoyun’s room. He glanced at Zhang Xian before knocking on the door.

"Click..." The door quickly opened.

Seeing a doctor at the door, Xiao Nan asked in confusion, "Yes? We didn’t call for a doctor, did we?"

"I’m just here to take so notes," the doctor pushed his glasses up and smiled.

Xiao Nan frowned and stepped aside.

After walking into the room with a folder, the doctor walked straight to the edge of the bed and asked Mo Shaoyun, "How are you feeling, beauty? Any discomfort?"

"No."

Mo Shaoyun asked, bewildered, "What are you recording?"

"Nothing much, I’m just recording the conditions of all patients. You’ve got nothing to worry about," the doctor smiled.

As he spoke, he suddenly pulled out a razor-thin blade from his folder and made a lightning-fast move to slit Mo Shaoyun’s throat.

"Bang..."

Just then, the hospital room door was suddenly burst open. A figure rushed in, appearing behind the doctor at warp speed, reaching out a hand.

"Damn..."

The doctor felt a gust of wind from behind, scaring him senseless. He tried to duck away.

However, the wind was swift. He barely had the thought of escaping when a painful force gripped the back of his neck. His right hand changed direction.

"Ah..."

Mo Shaoyun was terrified and instinctively leaned away.

"Shaoyun!"

Xiao Nan was also frightened and quickly rushed over, pinning Mo Shaoyun to the ground.

"Who sent you?"

Zhang Xian turned the middle-aged man over, and said coldly, "If you don’t cooperate, I’ll make you wish you were dead."

"Hehe!"

The middle-aged man laughed once, and suddenly black blood flowed from the corners of his mouth.

Upon seeing this, Zhang Xian’s face changed dramatically. Just as he was about to save the man, he found that the man had already died. He widened his eyes in disbelief. What had this guy taken? The poison was so potent.

From being poisoned to death, it took just one second. Or perhaps, this man had taken the poison long ago, but needed to take the antidote regularly, otherwise he would die?

He knew that so people would take poison before carrying out a mission, then keep the antidote in their mouth, taking a bit after every period of ti. If they don’t take the antidote on ti, they would die quickly.

This thod was more domineering than keeping the poison in their mouths, giving no one any chance to discover their secret.

"Ah..."

Mo Shaoyun suddenly cried out in pain, "Sister Nan, you’re pressing on my wound."

"Uh, sorry, I didn’t notice."

Xiao Nan quickly stood up and saw Mo Shaoyun’s clothes were soaked in blood, she quickly said, "You... wait a mont, I’ll call the doctor."

"No need."

Zhang Xian threw the doctor’s body aside and unbuttoned Mo Shaoyun’s clothes, preparing to apply dicine.

Mo Shaoyun pushed Zhang Xian’s hand away and asked, "What are you doing?"

"I’m applying dicine!" Zhang Xian said.

Mo Shaoyun coldly said, "I don’t want you ddling, get out, I don’t want to see you, and I’d never take your dicine."

"So, can I kill you now?"

Zhang Xian’s face darkened suddenly, "I saved you just now. You don’t even want my dicine, I guess you wouldn’t want

to save your life either? Should we see if I dare?"

"You..." When Mo Shaoyun saw the cold eyes of Zhang Xian, she inexplicably felt a sense of fear in her heart.

Xiao Nan was also scared by Zhang Xian. From his eyes, she saw a kind of resolution. It seed that if Mo Shaoyun nodded, this guy would kill her without hesitation.

"Usually, playing around is fine, but now is not the ti, ta your bloody temper."

Zhang Xian directly held Mo Shaoyun down on the bed, domineeringly took out a dicine bottle, poured so antiseptic dicine on the wound, "If you dare to remove the dicine, I will make you cry rhythmically."

"You..." Mo Shaoyun was angry.

However, when she ca into contact with Zhang Xian’s cold eyes, she beca a little nervous and didn’t dare to refute Zhang Xian’s words.

This guy, when did he beco so freaking aweso? He dared to talk to

like this.

"Sister Nan, did you drive here?"

Zhang Xian stopped paying attention to Mo Shaoyun, turned to Xiao Nan and said, "Help Mo Shaoyun get down, I’ll take you ho. It’s not safe here at the hospital."

"Not... really?" Xiao Nan asked worriedly.

Zhang Xian gave a cold smile, "The one who wanted to kill Mo Shaoyun just now was an assassin. Do you think you two will be safe here? The assassins who co before the mission is completed will be more powerful one after another."

"Okay...fine!" Xiao Nan nodded her head, hurriedly walked to the bed, and said, "Shaoyun, get up quickly, we’re going ho."

Mo Shaoyun turned her head away, "I’m not going."

"Are you leaving or not?"

Zhang Xian suddenly grabbed Mo Shaoyun’s collar and said coldly, "I generally don’t hit won, especially those I like. Do you want to be the first?"

Mo Shaoyun angrily said, "Zhang Xian, if you have the guts, hit ."

"Slap..."

Zhang Xian raised his hand, and slapped Mo Shaoyun’s face directly, "Why would I be afraid to hit you?"

"You..."

Mo Shaoyun was stunned, with a look of shock in her eyes.

Xiao Nan was also shocked by this scene. This guy, Zhang Xian, actually dared to slap Mo Shaoyun? Was this guy crazy?

"You better behave and go ho." Zhang Xian pointed at Mo Shaoyun and shouted angrily.

Originally, he didn’t want to lose his temper, but Mo Shaoyun was pushing it. Even if she wanted to throw a tantrum, there should be a limit, right? Doesn’t she care about her life?

Now that there is trouble on Mo Shaoyun’s side, and there’s even an assassin involved, it’s not easy to solve. Besides, Nangong Wu is also a big problem. Damage to either side is not sothing he could allow.

Under such imnse pressure, Mo Shaoyun was still making trouble. Wasn’t he allowed to be angry? If he didn’t give Mo Shaoyun a scare, things might escalate in the future.

He would rather be hated by Mo Shaoyun than see her get hurt again.

"Sister Nan, let’s go." Mo Shaoyun suddenly got out of bed and walked out with a cold face.

"You... you..." After pointing at Zhang Xian a few tis, Xiao Nan didn’t say anything, quickly cleaned up, and followed.

Zhang Xian looked at his palm, picked up the body on the floor, and jumped directly off the third floor.

After landing, he went to a secluded place and burned the body to ashes. Then he walked to the hospital parking lot and found Mo Shaoyun’s red BMW.

"Uh... how did you get here so fast?" Xiaonan asked in surprise when she ran over, "Weren’t you supposed to be behind us?"

Zhang Xian said, "I jumped down. Let’s get in the car!"

"Jumped... Jumped down?"

After being stunned, Xiao Nan opened the car door and got into the back seat of the BMW M6.

Mo Shaoyun did not dare to confront Zhang Xian this ti. Actually, she was not an unreasonable person, but sotis, her mind was clouded by stubbornness and it was inevitable that she would do outrageous things.
