"Little Rachel, you found today just to show your concern for . You’re truly too kind to ." Jas Brown wrapped his arm around Helen Wilson’s shoulder with a lecherous smile.

Helen Wilson pushed Jas Brown away at once, glared at him and said, "Stop disgusting here. You’re such a troublemaker, I wish you’d just die sooner."

"How can my Little Rachel be so heartless?"

Helen Wilson glared at Jas Brown fiercely, and said, "Hmph, you’re Gina Lopez’s husband, not mine. Why should I care about you?"

"If only we had t earlier, I would have married you."

Helen Wilson crossed her arms and said, "Really? Alright, divorce Gina Lopez now, and I’ll marry you."

Jas Brown coughed awkwardly, realizing he had flattered her the wrong way, and said, "I’m not that irresponsible. If I could divorce Gina to be with you, wouldn’t I be able to divorce you later and run off with soone else?"

"Hmph, you’re just all talk. I’ve walked a lot today, my feet hurt. You can massage them for ." Helen Wilson said, leaning back and placing her feet on Jas Brown’s thighs.

Jas Brown held Helen Wilson’s foot. Her feet weren’t as soft as Emily Lopez’s, quite bony actually, but they still felt nice to hold. However, he had already told lody Yoody that he would be at her place tonight, and she was surely waiting for him at ho. If he was late, she definitely wouldn’t let him off the hook, and looking at Helen Wilson’s stance, it seed she wasn’t planning to let him leave easily tonight either.

Jas Brown said in a gentle tone, "Rachel, you’re already very tired today. You should go to bed early."

Helen Wilson had already closed her eyes but now suddenly opened them and looked at Jas Brown, saying, "Are you trying to make sleep early so you can leave?"

Jas Brown coughed again and said, "I actually have so business to attend to tonight."

"What business? Tell , I’m not that unreasonable. If it’s really important, I’ll let you go."

Of course, Jas Brown couldn’t say he was heading to lody Yoody’s place, as Helen Wilson would surely be furious and wouldn’t let him go. Laughing quickly, he said, "Tonight, the guys from my security team are throwing a welco party for , and I’ve already promised them. If I don’t go, they’ll think I’m a flake as their security manager. It wouldn’t be good for my future work, and it’s just not a brotherly thing to do."

Helen Wilson was quite an upstanding woman, she often cared for these things. Hearing Jas Brown say this, she asked, "What ti did you plan?"

"We originally planned for six, but when I got your call, I told them to wait a bit and push it to seven-thirty. It’s almost seven now."

Helen Wilson’s face showed a hint of displeasure, "Alright, you can leave at seven."

Jas Brown breathed a sigh of relief inside but didn’t show it, complinting Helen Wilson, "You’re the most reasonable, Rachel."

"After you finish drinking, co back."

"Huh? Co back after drinking? I can’t explain that to Gina."

"I don’t care how you explain it. What’s this, you played with and now don’t want to admit it?"

Jas Brown chuckled bitterly and said, "Rachel, it seems every ti it’s you playing with ."

Helen Wilson blushed but stubbornly said, "I don’t care. Tonight, I’m in the mood for it. If you don’t satisfy , you can forget about going ho peacefully."

Jas Brown gritted his teeth and said, "Alright then, let’s hurry up and do this now."

Helen Wilson quickly withdrew her foot and then kicked forward fiercely, nearly knocking Jas Brown off the couch, angrily saying, "You jerk, making this so difficult, are you my hired duck?"

Jas Brown also knew his deanor hurt Helen Wilson’s self-esteem, chuckled and said, "Just teasing you."

"You jerk!" Helen Wilson snorted, but seeing Jas Brown’s expression, she couldn’t help but laugh and said, "Hurry up and go. Rember to co back soon and don’t keep waiting too long."

Jas Brown agreed and just as he stood up, his phone rang. Quickly, he took out his phone and said, "See, they’re already urging ."

Helen Wilson waved her hand and said, "Get lost quickly."

Jas Brown, feeling relieved as if granted amnesty, hurriedly prepared to slip away. But before he could finish putting on his shoes, Helen suddenly dashed over and snatched Jas’ phone unexpectedly. Upon seeing the na on the screen, she imdiately glared at Jas fiercely and said through gritted teeth, "Is this your colleague from the security departnt?"

The na displaying on the phone was lody Yoody’s, and Jas’ lie was instantly exposed. With a wry smile, he said, "Joanne, it wasn’t my intention to deceive you, but I’ve already promised lody that I’d go see her today. You know she’s pregnant, and I can’t not go. If I upset her and sothing happens to the baby, it would be a huge mistake on my part."

"Yes, since lody has your child, you need to take care of her," Helen’s tone was quite calm, no longer as agitated as before.

Jas gently held Helen’s hand and said, "Joanne, I’m sorry. I know you’re very angry. Honestly, I didn’t want to hide anything from you, but you know, my feelings are really a ss right now. I’m truly not a man worthy of your lifelong commitnt."

Helen t Jas’ gaze and said, "So what you’re saying is, you want to stop pestering you?"

"It’s not that you’re pestering , but that I’m not worth having you invest your feelings in . I can’t even spend every day by your side properly."

"Hmph, don’t even think about it. I don’t care if you’ve married or have however many lovers, all I know is that you’re my man. When I want you, you have to co over." Helen looked at Jas with an overbearing gaze and spoke with a commanding tone.

"You know, that’s quite silly," Jas understood that this was just Helen’s way of expressing herself. The more she acted like this, the more it showed how serious she was.

"That’s how I like it. Now scram, I’m too lazy to argue with a pregnant woman." With that, Helen pushed Jas out of the room and slamd the door shut.

Listening to the elevator doors open and close outside, knowing Jas had left, Helen’s expression beca sowhat complicated. If she didn’t know Jas was the Mysterious Figure, then with such a complicated love life, Jas would have simply been a playboy, and she wouldn’t have bothered with him. But knowing Jas was that Mysterious Figure made Helen reluctant to give him up. Although being with this guy often made her angry, after the anger subsided, she always felt a sweetness, because he was really good at coaxing people.

"Hmph, you jerk, trying to ditch ? No way. Gina Lopez, don’t think that just because you’re his wife, you can have him all to yourself. Sooner or later, he’s going to be mine." Helen clenched her fist confidently.

In the elevator, Jas finally answered the call, and lody Yoody’s voice ca through: "Is it inconvenient for you?"

Jas imdiately replied, "I was just at Helen’s place. She had sothing to discuss with ."

"Hmph, is it that Deputy County Chief? Really, as a Deputy County Chief, she should be more mindful, not snatch soone else’s husband."

Jas lightly coughed a few tis. Now that lody was a Deputy County Chief too, and similar to Helen, saying this was like the pot calling the kettle black, but he didn’t dare voice that out loud.

"So, have you escaped the tiger’s den?" lody asked again.

"I’ve slipped out. I told Helen I’d be with you today, and she agreed." Jas quickly put in a good word for Helen. After all, she was one of his won now, and he didn’t want them to beco enemies. If they fought every ti they t, he’d end up with a bigger headache.

"Would she really be that generous?" lody was visibly skeptical.

"While not overly generous, Helen is sensible, especially since she knows it’s you. She was the one who graciously stepped back."

"Oh, so what you’re saying is, should I also step back a bit and just let you stay with her tonight?"

"No, no, I promised you, so I must co to you."

"Smart move."

After hanging up, Jas shook his head. In the past, they couldn’t see eye to eye, which left him utterly frazzled. Now, it seed like they weren’t as hostile toward each other, but he couldn’t manage to care for everyone, leading to new troubles.

"Sigh, maybe I should just establish a grand harem and bring everyone together, so I don’t have such hassles," Jas suddenly had this thought. Lucy Campbell had said sothing similar to him before, which he found ridiculous. But now, with a wife like Gina Lopez, who approved of Emma Campbell and Sarah Grandy, along with lody being pregnant with his child, not to ntion Emily Lopez, his inseparable sister-in-law, Jas figured he might as well develop things in this direction.

However, thinking deeper, it felt full of challenges. Even if he managed to get a nationality allowing polygamy, could everyone truly live in peace? If they argued every day, he’d go insane. After all, his feelings for each were equally deep, and choosing sides was impossible.

Especially among the won around him now, Emma Campbell was easy-going and wouldn’t cause any conflict. But won like Gina Lopez, lody Yoody, and Helen Wilson, each with a very strong personality, how could they all be in harmony together?

It seed he could only take things one step at a ti. If he were to let them go, letting them find another man, he found himself unwilling to do so. Jas had to admit, in this regard, he was selfish.
