She was a woman who still looked quite pretty, dressed head to toe in luxurious global brand nas, with a sparkling necklace around her neck, a watch on one wrist and a bracelet on the other, and shiny earrings on her ears, making her look like a model showcasing world-famous brands.

However, it seed like the makeup on her face was a bit heavy. Her beauty had much to do with the makeup; without it, though not unsightly, she would definitely not compare to Emily Jenkins.

Standing next to this woman was a man, dressed in a sharply tailored suit, around forty years old. His gaze swept over Emily Jenkins and the other young won, imdiately revealing an excited glint, but he quickly concealed it, with his hands clasped behind his back, looking very composed.

Emily Jenkins didn’t even stand up at this mont. She gave the woman a sideways glance and said, "I say, Jessica Smith, aren’t you annoying?"

The woman nad Jessica Smith chuckled and said, "How can I be annoying? It’s been so long since I’ve seen you, now that I finally do, of course, we need to have a good chat. After all, we’re from the sa town. Is it too rude to speak like this when old friends et?"

Emily Jenkins curled her lip and said, "Do I need to be polite with you? I’m not sick. Go do whatever you’re supposed to do, don’t disturb while I’m eating."

Emily Jenkins was a straightforward girl who was clear about her likes and dislikes. What she liked, she liked, and what she didn’t like, she didn’t like, never hiding her true feelings. This was sothing that beca apparent through interactions with her. Now that Emily Jenkins spoke to Jessica Smith this way, it was evident there was so conflict between them, or at the very least, they couldn’t stand each other.

Jessica Smith then said sarcastically, "Oh, eating lobster, huh... you must have never eaten such a good lobster before, right? Does it taste particularly delicious? Take your ti eating. Everything on this yacht is free to eat, have as much as you want, lest you waste the money you spent."

Emily Jenkins snorted, utterly ignoring Jessica Smith.

Jessica Smith curled her lip and said, "Honey, it’s only these country bumpkins who would treat this kind of lobster as a delicacy. If we eat, we eat the genuine AU Lobster weighing over four pounds, and this abalone, only four head. If we eat, it must be at least three-head abalone. Right, right, the double-head abalone we had last ti was the best, and also this caviar and foie gras, unless you’re in a real F Country restaurant, drinking red wine, it’s essentially not authentic. Alas, no knowledge is just no knowledge."

Sarah Grandy slapped the table and angrily said, "Are you annoying or what? Sister Sarah didn’t even pay attention to you, and you’re still bragging about your nonsense. You think you’re great just because you have a bit of money? Wait till soone richer than you takes you down."

Grace Lopez imdiately took over the conversation and said, "Charlotte, that’s not right. Only those newly rich or poor who suddenly get rich would flaunt themselves. How can we compare money with such tasteless people?"

Jessica Smith’s face turned unsightly after what Sarah Grandy and Grace Lopez said to her. She and Emily Jenkins used to live in the sa neighborhood. Emily was genuine and straightforward, and could play well with the boys in the neighborhood, and everyone liked her. Jessica, on the other hand, thought that she was no worse than Emily but never had as much attention from the boys, which induced intense jealousy. Whenever there was a chance, she would target Emily, from young to old. At first, Emily didn’t care, but over ti, she beca annoyed and developed a strong aversion to Jessica, offering no kind words when they t.

Jessica Smith ca over and spoke disdainfully about Emily Jenkins because she saw them all dressed in clothes that, while nice-looking, were not particularly expensive. Moreover, they were eating with such gluttony, clearly not accustod to these things. Even though they were on the sa yacht, she didn’t think Emily had made any great progress. It was either they spent their savings to co here for the experience, or she found an average man, with no comparison to her own situation.

"Hmph! What do you know? Country bumpkins will only be country bumpkins. Do you even know the brand of these clothes? Can the newly rich buy such tasteful attire? This design was personally made for by Mary Carter."

Grace Lopez stared at the clothes Jessica Smith was wearing and quickly exclaid, "Wow, it’s actually a design by Mary Carter, one of the world’s top design masters. Custom-making an outfit there costs at least a hundred thousand!"

Jessica Smith imdiately wore an extrely smug expression and said, "At least you recognize it, this outfit was two hundred thousand. Actually, it was only a hundred thousand, but with such clothes, even if you double the price, no one can verify it unless they personally ask Mary Carter."

Grace Lopez exclaid again, "Wow, your watch is really nice too, isn’t it a famous brand watch?"

"It’s nothing, just a Patek Philippe, ranked as the world’s number one watch brand." Jessica Smith raised her wrist and deliberately flaunted her watch, her tone appearing casual as if she didn’t care at all, but her eyes revealed an extrely proud look, a fact anyone could imdiately see.

Emily Jenkins frowned slightly, thinking that Jessica Smith was already quite showy; why was Grace Lopez still praising her and not siding with her at all? But when John Brown gave her a look, Emily might not fully understand but held her tongue—she completely trusted Jas Brown. Plus, she felt that Grace Lopez’s way of talking today was clearly different from usual, definitely sothing was off.

Sarah Grandy and Grace Lopez, these two cunning spirits, have been coordinating quite well recently. When she saw Grace talk like that, Sarah imdiately understood her intent and quickly said, "Sister Sandra, isn’t that a diamond necklace around her neck? It’s so shiny and beautiful."

Grace Lopez instantly said, "It looks like it to , probably is, right?"

Jessica Smith was even more delighted. She ca here today mainly to show off, but here, everyone was either rich or influential, and although her clothes and jewelry seed quite expensive, they didn’t garner much admiration, which left her feeling sowhat displeased. Now, finally being envied here, she was overjoyed, montarily forgetting to mock Emily Jenkins, and pretended modestly, "It’s just ordinary. Each one is just one karat, and there are only forty-eight of them altogether."

Diamonds are quite sophisticated things. Carats are just the weight; there’s also transparency and purity to consider. A high-quality diamond at one karat can fetch tens of thousands of Dragon Coins, but a low-quality one might only be a few thousand. Jessica Smith’s diamond necklace wasn’t of very high quality, totaling less than two hundred thousand, but it wasn’t sothing an average person could afford. Seeing Grace Lopez and Sarah Grandy looking so inexperienced, she naturally felt a sense of pride.

"Really envious, to wear diamonds as a necklace. I thought having a diamond ring at my wedding would be nice enough," said Grace Lopez, full of envy.

Sarah Grandy propped her cheeks in both hands, dreaming idly, "When can I have such a beautiful necklace?"

Jessica Smith waved her hand, feigning humility, "It’s nothing really, these diamonds are small. If I could have a necklace with diamonds as big as my earrings, that would truly be great. Honey, don’t you think?" With that, she linked her arm with the man next to her.

The man chuckled, looking indifferent, "Next year on your birthday, I’ll get you one."

"You’re so good, honey," Jessica Smith imdiately kissed the man’s cheek happily.

The man waved majestically, "It’s nothing, as long as you like it. Besides, it’ll just take a few days to earn it, no big deal."

Grace Lopez imdiately admired the man, saying, "Uncle, you’re really capable, earning a diamond necklace in just a few days. How much money do you make in a year then?"

The man, flattered by Grace’s words, boasted even more, "Not much, make about Twenty Million Dollars a year; small money, small money..."

Sarah Grandy, looking even more astonished, said, "Uncle, you’re so rich, earning a thousand equals a million, my goodness, how do you even spend it all? If I found a husband like you, I’d be so happy. How about... I be your lover? I’m still pure, you know." She even posed shyly as she said this.

The man felt a surge of heat as he listened. Though experienced, he was quite superstitious, especially fascinated by face-reading—considering his luck in business these years to be a result of it. While Jessica Smith might not be very beautiful, he believed she had good fortune, a woman sure to bring him wealth, which was why he married her.

Now, looking at Sarah Grandy and Grace Lopez, they seed even more like auspicious partners. Judging by their faces, they indeed appeared pure and virtuous, a rare treasure, how could he not be tempted?

Jessica Smith, seeing her husband’s expression, was startled and quickly said, "Honey, don’t listen to her nonsense."

Sarah Grandy quickly responded, "Who said I’m talking nonsense? I’m serious, Uncle, what do you say? With my sister and by your side, we’d surely be better than your old wife?"

Grace Lopez also cast a charming glance at the man, saying, "Exactly, the two of us serving you, so unlike your yellow-faced wife, hiding behind costics, wearing such nice clothes as if dressing a pig, what a waste!"
