Gina Lopez finally ca to her senses, pulled John Brown aside, and asked in a low voice, "Why are you playing so big?"
John Brown chuckled and said, "Do you rember Charles Goodman?"
Gina Lopez imdiately frowned and said, "Of course I rember."
"It’s just that he and Robert Johnson wanted to trick . Do you think I can let them do that? Besides, both of them are my love rivals. They covet my wife. With such an opportunity, how can I not deal with them properly? Of course, I can’t be polite to them."
At this point, a hint of joy unexpectedly welled up in Gina Lopez’s heart. Charles Goodman and Robert Johnson had thoughts about her, and John Brown considered them his love rivals. That ant John Brown cared a lot about her, but she still said with a stern face, "Even so, you shouldn’t play so big. What if you lose?"
John Brown laughed and said, "Can your husband do sothing he’s not confident about?"

"That girl..." Gina Lopez turned back and glared at Emily Lopez not far away. Emily Lopez mischievously winked at her, and Gina Lopez turned back to look at John Brown, saying, "You’re also joining in on her antics."
John Brown chuckled and said, "We ca out to have fun, so let’s have a blast. Just now, Lucy even said she was my lover, making Charles Goodman’s face turn pale."
Gina Lopez was speechless for a mont, thinking to herself, "How could Linda Campbell also join in the nonsense?" But she didn’t believe Linda had any ulterior motives, thinking it was just a joke.
John Brown wrapped his arm around Gina Lopez’s shoulder and laughed, "Alright, since we won, don’t think too much about it. This money isn’t really ours, so let’s spend it. Let’s buy everyone so clothes. You wouldn’t mind, would you?"
"Trying to please them, aren’t you?" Gina Lopez gave John Brown a sidelong glance.
John Brown chuckled dryly and said, "Sarah Grandy and Emma aren’t here, so who am I trying to please out of these people?"
"And Sister Sunny, you aren’t trying to win her over?"
"Well... Sunny and I hardly interact anymore, we’re just ordinary friends. Are you still harping on it?"
"You can just let go like that, treating Sister Sunny as nothing?" Gina Lopez gave John Brown another look.
"What else can I do?" John Brown looked at Gina Lopez, a bit bewildered.
Gina Lopez suddenly smiled and said, "Let’s talk about it later." Then she turned and walked over to Sunny Nguyen and the others, laughing, "Today, Jas is treating. Buy whatever you want, but no one can spend over four hundred thousand!"
Gina Lopez’s words startled everyone. Sunny Nguyen and Sarah Utah didn’t dare to speak, while Emily Jenkins stuck out her tongue and said, "Sister Gina, you’re not joking, right?"
Gina Lopez laughed and said, "Why would I joke with you? Anyway, Jas won this money, so spending it doesn’t hurt. Since everyone’s here, everyone gets a share."
Emily Jenkins imdiately cheered and said, "Then I won’t be polite, just now I saw an A Region dress I liked, now I can buy it!"
Emily Lopez and Linda Campbell didn’t hold back either. Emily Lopez pulled Sarah Utah along, and Gina Lopez dragged Sunny Nguyen, getting ready for a big shopping spree.
Gina Lopez took a couple of steps, then turned to John Brown and said, "Oh right, Jas, call Charlotte and Emma over. First, because we’ll be having lunch soon, they should co back to eat. And second, they can co pick out so clothes."
John Brown imdiately agreed, called Sarah Grandy, and soon, Sarah Grandy and Emma Campbell brought Little Violet down. Little Violet seed a bit reluctant, as she had been playing wildly today.
Sarah Grandy, upon hearing that it was John Brown who won the money and wanted to spend it freely, imdiately cheered. Spending money wasn’t a concern for her; the money left by her parents was all given to John Brown, so it didn’t matter to her. However, John Brown being so impressive was sothing that made her proud.
Emma Campbell had just been playing with Sarah Grandy and Little Violet, feeling genuinely happy. Today, she received acknowledgnt from Gina Lopez, so she no longer had to hide or worry about causing any trouble for John Brown in their interactions. Plus, having John Brown’s daughter with her made her feel incredibly happy; looking at Little Violet was like seeing John Brown.
Upon eting Gina Lopez again, although still sowhat uneasy, she was not as frightened. At this mont, Sarah Grandy pulled her along to pick out clothes, and she began to look around as well. However, seeing the prices of those clothes made her secretly gasp, daring not to choose at will.
Gina Lopez noticed Emma Campbell’s unease. Though still sowhat reluctant to accept her, under the circumstances she had already accepted it, so there was no harm in treating her well. She walked over to Emma Campbell, smiled, and said, "Emma, why don’t you try sothing on?"
Emma Campbell beca extrely nervous all of a sudden and stuttered, "Too... too expensive."
Gina Lopez affectionately took Emma Campbell’s hand, saying, "What’s the harm in expensive? After all, this money was won by John Brown. Buy if you want to, whatever you like."
"But... I’d better not buy anything. I have nowhere to wear them anyway; I’m still in school."
Gina Lopez laughed and said, "You’re not a high school student. College students wear what they like, nobody will mind. Besides, if John Brown spends so money on you, it’s expected. He’s a man; he should take responsibility for won. Co, let help you pick a few pieces; we mustn’t wrong you."
On the other side, Sarah Grandy held onto Emma Campbell’s arm and said playfully, "Sister Emma, you should listen to Sister Gina. She’s the big sister. If you don’t listen, Sister Gina will be unhappy and might scold you."
"No, no, I’ll listen, I’ll buy..." Emma Campbell panicked instantly.
Gina Lopez cast a sidelong glance at Sarah Grandy and said, "Nonsense, am I that fierce? When have I ever scolded you?"
Sarah Grandy laughed playfully and said, "I was just joking; otherwise, Emma would always be so reserved."
"You..." Gina Lopez shook her head, having no ans against this girl. Originally, she thought that Sarah Grandy, after entering university and encountering many outstanding college mates, might gradually redirect her fascination from John Brown to pursuing one of those lads. But as a month had passed, it seed that the effect wasn’t great. She wondered if this girl would really follow John Brown forever.
Under the persuasion of the two, Emma Campbell also began to pick out so pieces. But faced with the price tags so intimidating, she didn’t dare to choose at random. It was only with Gina Lopez’s help that she selected two outfits. Upon trying them on and standing in front of John Brown, his eyes lit up instantly.
Emma Campbell was already a beauty, but she didn’t usually dress up. A person’s attractiveness relies on 30% appearance and 70% grooming, and usually, Emma had only put in about 20% of that grooming effort. Now, dressed in these clothes, Emma appeared radiant, even comparable to Gina Lopez.
Everyone quietly admired Emma Campbell’s beauty, enhanced by her gentle and frail deanor, making her all the more charming and likable.
During a spree of crazy shopping, John Brown and the others spent over two million. Though initially, it was said that each person could spend 400,000, Sarah Utah and the others didn’t feel right about spending that much; each only spent a little over 20,000. Only Emily Jenkins, being kind of carefree, ended up spending her entire 400,000, and then so, buying a jumble of things.
This girl finally felt a bit embarrassed and stuck her tongue out, but none of John Brown’s group took it to heart. Emily Jenkins, whenever she’s out, always brings back various gifts for everyone. Even if so items are inexpensive, it’s the thought that counts, a quality so rare. Everyone got used to it a long ti ago, to the point that even Gina Lopez kind of considers her as family given how often Emily dines at John Brown’s place. Spending a bit on her isn’t uncomfortable.
Besides, the money ca easily, and Gina Lopez didn’t mind. If she were to give away all earnings from these years at random, she surely wouldn’t bear it.
After buying everything, everyone returned to their rooms, excited and cheerful. Naturally, carrying all these things didn’t lend itself to further activities.
After lunch, Sarah Grandy, Emma Campbell, along with Emily Jenkins and Emily Lopez, went off with Little Violet to find a place to play. anwhile, John Brown, Gina Lopez, Linda Campbell, Sarah Utah, and Sunny Nguyen arrived at one of the cruise ship’s exhibition halls. Being displayed were the main attractions for this cruise: the auction items.
Among the charity auction items, there was nothing extrely valuable; the truly valuable ones were among the regular auction items. Upon seeing these, John Brown couldn’t help but gasp inside, for every item could be described as a rare treasure. There were famous Blue and White Porcelain Vases, Bronze Cauldrons from the W Region era, along with collections of famous paintings, jewelry, and jade usually unseen even in museums.
Everyone’s eyes were dazzled; it was truly an eye-opener. Seeing such an array of treasures in one go is indeed a blessing.
But as John Brown looked at these items, he couldn’t help feeling worried. These items were incredibly valuable, and together, their worth would likely be in the hundreds of billions. And those coming to partake in this auction were likely all very wealthy patrons. If so gang were to set their sights on this cruise, it wouldn’t be far-fetched at all.
