He had been out trying to woo won, and now it seed like that was against the law.
But from what he understood, it would actually be illegal only if the woman didn’t agree, and he hadn’t really done anything wrong yet.
“Wait, Officer Monaghan,” he said.
“I know her na is Sunny Nguyen.
Look at her ID, and we’re colleagues at the sa company.
I can find coworkers to testify to that.”
Joan, however, didn’t believe a word Jas was saying and scoffed, “It’s entirely possible that you’ve seen her ID beforehand.
Even if you know each other, she hasn’t agreed to go with you, yet you’re taking her.
That’s coercion, and as a police officer, I absolutely won’t allow you to infringe on her.”
Jas rolled his eyes and said, “Then can you please wake her up a bit and let her speak for herself?”
“Ugh…” Right then, Sunny’s stomach churned, and as soon as she opened her mouth, she vomited.
Joan hadn’t expected Sunny to throw up right then and couldn’t dodge in ti.
Even though she reacted quickly, her coat still ended up with a lot of stains.
Jas quickly reached out to support Sunny, who kept vomiting until she had emptied all the alcohol from her stomach.
Joan, anwhile, hurriedly wiped herself down with tissues.
For a girl, having vomit stains on her clothes was extrely uncomfortable.
Jas patted Sunny on the back and then helped her up, asking, “Feeling any better?”
“Uh…
Jas, you…
how did you get here?” Sunny finally recognized Jas again.
“My goodness, you’re finally awake.
If you hadn’t woken up, I would have been taken away by the police,” Jas breathed a sigh of relief.
Then he said to Joan, “Officer Monaghan, my friend is awake now.
Please ask her.”
Although Joan hadn’t finished cleaning herself up, this responsible policewoman turned to Sunny and asked, “Do you know him?”
Feeling a bit embarrassed but considering her need to reassure the police officer, Sunny replied, “Yes, we know each other, officer.
You might have misunderstood.
I was drunk, and he was taking ho.”
Jas imdiately said proudly, “See, Officer Monaghan?”
Joan huffed and said, “Fine, you may go.
But be careful; he’s not a good man.”
Jas was at a loss for words.
He helped Sunny walk away and then turned back to Joan, “Officer Monaghan, should I pay for the cleaning?”
“No need!” Joan quickly gestured with her hand, but inside, she was incredibly frustrated.
Her coat was so dirty, and it would be tough to clean.
She thought bitterly of Jas, sure he was up to no good with that woman, and of the woman, who surely wasn’t any good either.
Sunny didn’t realize Joan had put her in the sa category as the bad due to her poor impression of Jas.
A little way down the road, feeling weak, she said, “I want more to drink.”
“Let’s switch places then.
After drinking, you go straight to sleep.
Don’t you know that getting drunk in bars is like serving yourself up on a platter?”
“Heh, so what?
I have nothing now.
No ho, no husband.”
Jas had heard at work that Sunny was likely getting a divorce, and the first ti he t her, she was drowning her sorrows over a love affair.
He wasn’t surprised by her comnts and said, “There’s no need to give up on yourself.
You’re not even thirty yet.
You can find soone else.”
“I don’t want to find anyone.

I’ll never trust love again…” As she said this, Sunny suddenly embraced Jas tightly and said, “Take with you.
I want to spend the night with you.”
“Heh, no problem, then let’s get a room,” Jas really liked won like Sunny who didn’t seek a relationship and didn’t expect responsibility afterward.
“I want to go to your place.
I don’t like hotels,” Sunny made a new demand.
Jas hesitated this ti.
He had been out to flirt but wasn’t used to bringing won ho.
However, thinking that they knew each other and couldn’t really escape, he thought it over quickly and said, “No problem, let’s go to my place, although it’s not very fancy.”
“I don’t care, I just want to go to your place.” This ti, Sunny was quite stubborn.
Jas happily agreed, and since his place was not far, they soon reached his ho.
As they left the elevator, he instinctively tiptoed, not wanting Emily Jenkins, the young lady next door, to see them—to avoid endless questions.
But as fate would have it, just as he was about to open his door, Emily’s door burst open.
“Big Brother Brown, you’ve returned…
Ah, sorry, go ahead.
I didn’t an to intrude.” Upon seeing Jas carrying a woman, Emily quickly stuck out her tongue and shut her door with a bang.
Jas was at a loss for words, but he didn’t care much about Emily’s opinion of him.
He opened his door and brought Sunny into his ho.
“Who’s that girl?
Your girlfriend?” Now that Sunny wasn’t as drunk, she looked around Jas’s place and asked.
“Just a neighbor.”
“Looks like you two get along pretty well.”
“We’re alright.
Distant kin is not as good as a nearby neighbor.
Want to take a shower first?”
Sunny gave Jas a flirtatious look and said, “Definitely, and…
I want you to join .”
“No problem!” Jas laughed heartily, sweeping Sunny up in his arms and heading straight to the bathroom.
That night, Sunny Nguyen was indescribably crazy, crazier than the last ti she was with Jas Brown, but after the madness subsided, she threw herself on Jas, sobbing uncontrollably.
Jas knew why she was crying, but he could not console her.
This issue was not sothing he, as an outsider, could resolve; it primarily depended on Sunny dealing with her emotional turmoil.
Exhausted from crying, Sunny eventually fell asleep, and Jas held her throughout the night, making up for the sleep he had lost the night before.
The next morning before six o’clock, Jas woke up first.
Their bodies were still intertwined.
Trying to get out of bed to use the restroom, he accidentally woke Sunny.
Today, Sunny did not avoid facing Jas like last ti; instead, she held him tightly and said, “Let sleep a little longer.
I haven’t gotten enough sleep yet.”
“You can sleep, but I need to go pee right now.
It’s really bothering .”
“Really?
Let see.” Sunny pinched him, causing Jas to whimper and quickly pull her hand away, saying, “Stop it, or I’ll end up peeing right here.”
Sunny then laughed heartily, finally releasing Jas.
However, when Jas returned to bed, she entangled him once again, her hands mischievously wandering.
“Hey, didn’t you get enough last night, and you’re still going?” Jas started to knead her breasts.
“Don’t you have it in you anymore?”
“Don’t tell a man he can’t do it; you’ll be at a loss.”
“I’ve said it, now let’s see how you’re going to make lose,” Sunny said with a seductive expression.
Jas, not one to be polite, mounted her once more, and the two wrestled for another half hour before finally settling down.
Lighting a cigarette, Sunny snatched the lighter from Jas, who thought she did not want him smoking.
However, to his surprise, Sunny lit the cigarette for him.
Taking a deep drag, Jas comnted, “Don’t won usually dislike the sll of smoke?”
Sunny replied flirtatiously, “I usually don’t like it, but right now, watching you smoke seems quite appealing.”
Jas laughed heartily, “You really are sweet.”
“Stop being so full of yourself; I was just saying,” Sunny hit him lightly and closed her eyes, seemingly savoring the climax they had just shared.
The two lay quietly for a while until Jas, having finished his cigarette, said, “Hey, aren’t you getting up?
Aren’t you working today?”
“Ah, it’s so late already, I really need to get to work.” Sunny hurriedly sat up and dashed naked into the bathroom, but when she ca out, she was visibly upset and said, “This is a disaster.
How can I go to work in these clothes?”
Sunny had spilled quite a bit of drinks on her clothes while at the bar the previous day, and during their passionate bath with Jas, her clothes got even more soaked.
Now, they were not only still wet but wrinkled beyond salvage, completely undermining her image as a director.
“Hey, co on, think of sothing,” Sunny pleaded as she tossed her clothes at Jas, wearing only her lingerie.
Jas chuckled and said, “Why don’t you take a sick leave?
Just say you’re not feeling well and rest for the day.”
“No way, there are so many things to do at the office; I can’t just take a leave.
I don’t care, you need to find a suit right now.”
“Where am I supposed to get one?
Even if I wanted to, the stores aren’t open yet.”
“Ah, it’s all your fault for getting my clothes wet.
Who’s going to take responsibility if not you?” Sunny jumped onto the bed, pulling at Jas forcefully, “If you don’t take care of this, I’m going to just stay here and never leave.
It’s perfect since I have nowhere to live right now.”
“You can’t be serious?” Jas was taken aback.
If Sunny, a newly divorced woman, decided to cling to him, that would be a big deal.
Although pretty and a director, Jas did not want to be tied down by a woman at this stage in his life, not even soone as attractive as Sunny.
“Humph, if you don’t get a suit, I will,” Sunny glared at Jas and declared, “You have fifteen minutes to sort this out.” Then she grabbed her purse and ran into the bathroom to do her makeup.
Speechless, Jas still found a way.
He got dressed and went next door to Emily Jenkins’ apartnt.
Emily’s build was similar to Sunny’s, and she seed to have plenty of clothes.
Borrowing an outfit shouldn’t be too difficult.
However, after knocking for a long ti without a response, he figured Emily, the flight attendant, must have left for a night flight.
So, he pulled out Emily’s spare key to unlock her door.
The living room was eerily quiet, signaling no one was there.
Jas headed straight for Emily’s bedroom; he knew her wardrobe was in there, and it would be easier to take an outfit since she was not ho.
But when he opened the bedroom door, Jas was taken aback.
There lay Emily, sound asleep on the bed, not even covered by a quilt because the air conditioning was set to warm, and most shockingly, she was…
