Chapter 544: Chapter 556: You Pursue Lucy Campbell_2
“Hehe…” Emily Bailey giggled mischievously, suddenly tiptoeing to whisper in Jas Brown’s ear, “You’re quite the capable one, bringing both Little John and Little E. Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell my cousin?”
Jas Brown cleared his throat, glancing at Emily Bailey’s parents, who both wore smiles. To them, Emily Bailey’s behavior was just a playful curiosity from a sister-in-law toward her brother-in-law. In the large Yawk Family, Emily Bailey’s mother used to tease her brother-in-law in the sa playful way, sotis putting him in awkward situations.
“You better bribe well, or else one day when I’m not keeping my mouth shut, I might slip it out.” Emily Bailey blinked twice at Jas Brown.
Jas Brown chuckled and said, “No problem. Just tell your brother-in-law what you want, and I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.”
Emily Bailey was satisfied and said, “That’s more like it. I haven’t decided yet, but I’ll let you know when I do.”
Emily Bailey’s mother laughed at this mont and said, “You little girl, you’ve caught yourself a brother-in-law and now you’re trying to get benefits from him.”
Emily Bailey proudly laughed, “Of course, it’s only fair. Since he’s taken my cousin away, I should get sothing out of it, or else I’ll be at a loss.”
Emily Bailey’s parents laughed heartily. The interaction between Emily Bailey and Jas Brown was purely a display of family affection. The Yawk Family placed great emphasis on familial bonds; if a family wasn’t close, it wouldn’t be seen as proper.
Emily Bailey and Sarah Grandy are both beauties. Having been brought up in comfort, their clothes were all expensive, adding to their allure. So, when they arrived at the school, they imdiately caught the attention of many boys, and a group of sophomore and junior boys enthusiastically gathered around to help them sign up.
Although Emma Campbell was two years older than Emily Bailey and Sarah Grandy, she still looked like a college student. So people even mistook her for a freshman and approached her to chat, which made Emma Campbell a bit embarrassed. Once she ntioned she was there to send off her sister, the boys left disappointed.
For Sarah Grandy and Emily Bailey, this kind of attention was very novel, and they didn’t stop the boys from fawning over them. This saved Jas Brown and the others a lot of effort as they followed behind them, leaving the other chores to the helpful boys.
Sarah Grandy and Emily Bailey, these two sisterly friends, had been close since high school and were in the sa major and class in college. They even shared the sa dorm room, which gave Jas Brown peace of mind. Compared to Sarah Grandy, Emily Bailey was more sensible. With her help, Sarah wasn’t likely to be too unruly.
On another note, although Sarah Grandy seed quite cheerful recently, Jas Brown knew she hadn’t completely overco the shadow of her parents’ passing. In quiet monts, she would occasionally zone out, lost in thought about her parents. Having Emily Bailey around kept her from dwelling too much on her parents’ passing.
Emily Bailey’s parents had business in the morning and, after letting Jas Brown know, they left first. Before leaving, they asked Jas Brown to visit the Yawk Family, and he readily agreed. After all, being in the City Center as a soon-to-be son-in-law, it would be rude not to visit Old Master Smith.
After tidying up the dorm room, Jas Brown accompanied Sarah Grandy and Emily Bailey to buy so personal items. The two young girls were entirely absorbed in the new university, so they didn’t cling to Jas Brown. anwhile, Jas Brown and Emma Campbell walked leisurely around the campus, enjoying a sowhat romantic ambiance.
After lunch, Jas Brown and Emma Campbell were about to leave when Sarah Grandy showed her attachnt to Jas Brown again. Holding onto his arm, her eyes reddened, she said, “Uncle, you must visit often.”
“Silly girl, don’t cry. Aren’t you the strongest one?” Jas Brown gently embraced Sarah Grandy, stroking her hair in comfort.
Sarah Grandy hugged his waist tightly and said, “I don’t want to be strong, I just want you, Uncle.”
“Haha, alright, Uncle promises you I’ll visit often, but just think, after a month of school, you’ll have the long National Holiday, and you can co ho then.”
“Hmm.” Only then did Sarah Grandy release Jas Brown, watching reluctantly as he and Emma Campbell drove away.
“It’s so sentintal.” Emily Bailey nudged Sarah Grandy, teasing with a laugh.
Sarah Grandy turned her head, snorted, and said, “Little brat, what do you know.”
The two gradually walked away, beginning their happy college life. However, their first topic of conversation wasn’t about the school itself, but rather how to be close with Jas Brown. It seed a bit excessive, but fortunately, they always talked in private, or else they would have been looked at like oddities.
Jas Brown first settled Emma Campbell in the hotel, then headed to the Yawk Family residence, where Old Master Smith was at ho and imdiately invited Jas Brown into his study.
As he entered, Old Master Smith excitedly said, “Good lad, you’re quite sothing. Dealing with the W Region, they didn’t even dare to squeak, just conceding like that.”
Jas Brown chuckled and replied, “Without so necessary skills, I wouldn’t dare to take on such a challenge.”
