Chapter 537: Chapter 549: The Father-in-law Arrives
In the next two days, Sarah Grandy was diligently pleasing Gina Lopez. When Gina was working, Sarah would bring her tea and water. If Gina sat in the living room for a while, she would be there to massage her legs and shoulders.

“Not really, just that they’re planning to visit an old friend over the weekend, so they’ll first co to visit us on Thursday.”
Jas Brown instantly slapped his forehead and said, “Then they’re visiting Helen Wilson’s father, it’s his birthday this weekend, and Helen even asked to pretend to be her boyfriend. If our parents co, aren’t we busted?”
Gina Lopez furrowed her brows and said, “Are you still pretending to be Helen Wilson’s boyfriend?”
Jas Brown felt a bit guilty and cleared his throat, saying, “I helped her solve a case the other day, and she told that she still hasn’t told her parents the truth.”
Gina Lopez said with so displeasure, “What’s Helen Wilson’s deal, she knows we’re married, yet she asks you to do this, isn’t she just looking for trouble? At that ti, are you going to be my parents’ son-in-law or her boyfriend?”
Sarah Grandy imdiately waved her fists and said, “Yes, yes, Sister Gina is your wife! How can you casually agree to such things for others? Uncle, you must apologize to Sister Gina.” With other won around now, Sarah is unwaveringly standing by Gina Lopez’s side; Gina’s kindness in letting her and Jas Brown stay together these past two days helped win Sarah over completely.
Jas Brown quickly said, “Gina, then I’ll just find an excuse not to go.”
Gina Lopez hesitated for a mont and said, “That’s probably best; otherwise, it’s really hard to explain. If the truth cos out, I don’t really mind, but it would be embarrassing for my parents, and Helen Wilson’s parents would certainly feel very awkward too, which wouldn’t be helping Helen’s image, but rather hindering her.”
Sarah Grandy eagerly nodded in agreent, “Look how thoughtful Sister Gina is, as for Helen Wilson, she’s just a fool.”
Jas Brown couldn’t help but chuckle and said, “Helen Wilson has helped you many tis before too.”

Gina Lopez playfully tapped Sarah Grandy’s hand and chided, “Stop trying to please , okay? When my parents co, you have to leave too.”

Gina Lopez nodded appreciatively and said, “Then you’ll have to endure for a few days.”

With this anxious feeling, John Brown finally waited for the arrival of Gina Lopez’s parents. But Gina was busy with work and couldn’t pick them up, so John Brown and Sandra went to pick them up together.
In the car, the two elders kept a stern face, making John Brown feel even more uneasy. Until they reached ho, John sat properly in front of the elders, ready to be lectured.
Mrs. Lopez started imdiately, “Jas, did you know you had this daughter before you married Gina?”

“Where’s the child?” Mrs. Lopez looked around.
John Brown quickly said, “Emily is at kindergarten.”
“What kindergarten? Hurry and bring her back so that I can see my granddaughter.”
John Brown imdiately stood up and said, “I’ll go fetch her right away.”
When John Brown brought Little Violet back, the elderly couple imdiately took a liking to her. Mainly because Little Violet resembled John Brown quite a bit, and she was so well-behaved and adorable; she instantly captured their hearts.
Seeing this, John Brown finally relaxed. If Gina Lopez’s parents didn’t like Little Violet, their marriage would face many uncertainties, but fortunately, those concerns didn’t exist.
While his wife was playing with the granddaughter, Jonathan Lopez and John Brown were drinking tea. Jonathan Lopez looked at John Brown and said, “Jas, since you’ve been with Gina, I’ve always treated you like a son.”

Jonathan Lopez laughed heartily. John Brown always manages to hit the right note, which makes him like this son-in-law so much, even forgiving him when he makes mistakes.
