At Helen Wilson’s ho, Helen told John Brown the news, then stared at him and said, "Wow, you’re actually so sort of big shot from the Capital of SSUP, coming here pretending to be a pig to eat a tiger."
John Brown touched his nose and said, "Can I say that this identity of mine is fake?"
Helen snorted and said, "Oh, all your identities are fake, so tell , what is your real identity?"
John Brown rolled his eyes and said, "I’m the Chairman of the U.N. Headquarters."
"Yeah right, not a word of truth, but since you’re so big shot from the Capital of SSUP, are you rich? You bastard, last ti I went to investigate a smuggling case, you didn’t give any money, and even told to go ho and swindle my parents, you’re so despicable."
John Brown coughed lightly and said, "At that ti I really didn’t have any money."
"I don’t care, now I’m also your woman, aren’t you going to give a spare twenty million dollars as pocket money?"
"Get out of here, twenty million dollars, do you think I’m an ATM? Besides, you’re also a deputy director of the Public Security Bureau now, how could you lack money?"
"Nonsense, my salary is just a little, I don’t embezzle or take bribes, where would I get money, just give so living expenses nicely."
As Helen spoke, she pushed John Brown down on the sofa, John Brown laughed and said, "My little lady, can you not be so direct, you’re acting like a mistress."
"Get lost, I won’t be your mistress, if I’m going to be anything, I’m going to be your wife, you go divorce your wife and marry ."
"No way!" John Brown snapped, patting Helen’s behind.
"Humph, then you’re just playing with , I’m still a virgin you know, and you want to dump without taking responsibility."
"Every ti it’s you forcing , isn’t it? It’s good enough I didn’t ask you for living expenses."
The two bantered for a while, and Helen forced John Brown once more, then put on her clothes and seriously spoke to John Brown, "So, what are you planning to do about this matter?"
John Brown lit a cigarette and said, "It’s simple, I must deal with Michael Wilson, letting him serve a few years is too kind, otherwise it would be worse for him. If anyone dares to threaten my family, I won’t let it slide easily."
"That’s quite badass, I like it. Alright then, no matter who tries to plead, I won’t release him."
"Hmm, but if the W Region people want to see , just let them co and et ."
"I really want to see what it’s like when you, a big shot from the Capital of SSUP, negotiate with those folks, this world is crazy. Any random guy I find turns out to be a tall, rich, and handso dude."
John Brown laughed heartily and said, "Is that your good luck or mine?"
"Of course, it’s your good luck. Don’t you know how rare virgins are these days? You really hit the jackpot."
John Brown quite liked Helen’s personality. As her official position rose, her words beca bolder and more straightforward, yet her sense of justice remained undiminished. Although she always said John should divorce and marry her, she never really clung to him. She only called John over when sothing ca up, using it as an excuse to get close, so John never felt any pressure with her.
"By the way, how have things been with Sarah Utah recently?" Helen turned and asked John Brown as they were about to leave.
"Still the sa, colleagues and good friends."
"You rascal, let remind you again, you’re not allowed to make a move on Sarah Utah. You’re already tangled with your wife, Sarah Grandy, and then there’s Emma Campbell, and even lody Yoody. You can’t sit still, and if you ss with Sarah Utah again, I’ll castrate you."
John Brown felt helpless and said, "I won’t. I know everything is already chaotic, ssing with Sarah Utah would only harm her."
"I’m just worried that girl is foolish. Don’t be fooled by her gentle deanor; she’s stubborn. Once she sets her mind on sothing, there’s no stopping her."
Helen’s assessnt of Sarah Utah might have been a bit harsh, but John Brown knew she was indeed a very determined girl. Even though they weren’t anything specific now, every ti she looked at him, her loving gaze would almost lt John Brown.
That night, John Brown t Victor Lewis, Michael Wilson’s father.
The two were sitting in a teahouse, with John Harris and Helen as interdiaries, and lody Yoody sitting next to John Brown.
Victor Lewis kept watching Jas Brown, having learned from John Harris that Jas was actually Lucy Campbell’s cousin, which left the W Region family extrely puzzled. So now, he put away his arrogance and looked at Jas with a calm expression.
"Mr. Smith, I’m here to apologize on behalf of my son, Michael Wilson. Young people can be impulsive sotis; he’s already been locked up for a few days, which I hope taught him a lesson. Can Mr. Smith find it in your heart to let him go?"
Victor Lewis’s attitude was already very humble.
Jas Brown slowly sipped his tea, looked at Victor, and said, "I just want to ask you, Mr. Williams, if I weren’t Mr. Smith but just an ordinary guy, what would you have done?"
Victor Lewis’s breath caught. If Jas were just an ordinary person, they would have certainly forced him to agree and even severely dealt with him.
Jas Brown said calmly, "I suppose if I were just an ordinary guy, your W Region family wouldn’t have let go, much less sat down to talk with like this, would you?"
Victor took a deep breath and said, "Mr. Smith, this matter is indeed our family Michael’s fault. Whatever demands Mr. Smith has, feel free to ask, and our W Region family will certainly compensate Mr. Smith."
Jas turned to look at lody Yoody and gently said, "lody is my person; Michael Wilson not only wanted to deal with but also with lody. Such a heinous person wouldn’t be content after coming out; I think it’s better to keep him in prison for a few years, temper his temperant, teach him to reflect properly, and prevent more trouble for your W Region family in the future."
Victor Lewis was shocked and jumped to his feet, exclaiming, "Mr. Smith, does this an you won’t forgive Michael?"
Jas didn’t lift his head, fiddled with the teacup with his fingers, and said slowly, "That’s correct, I won’t forgive him. Regardless of who it is, if there’s a conflict with , I won’t hold grudges, but if anyone dares to target my family or those around , I will not go easy on them."
Victor clenched his fists tightly and said, "Mr. Smith, you haven’t suffered any harm, and neither has lody. Our W Region family has also said they will compensate you. Can’t you just let it go this once?"
Jas slowly shook his head and said, "That’s right. Let also advise your W Region family, take good care of your children. Although your W Region family’s strength is not weak, if the family is full of such spoiled brats, your W Region will decline."
A surge of anger rushed to Victor’s head, nearly causing him to slam the table and curse, but Jas Brown’s identity made him hesitate. In this province, their W Region could ignore most people, but if they were to truly confront the Sanker Family in Capital of SSUP, it would be like smashing an egg against a rock.
"I t with you today to remind you; don’t let such a bastard ruin the great family business of the W Region." Jas said lightly, then stood up straight, putting his arm around lody Yoody’s shoulders as they walked out.
Helen Wilson watched Jas Brown be so commanding with another woman in front of her, feeling a bit uneasy, but also finding him extrely powerful. Victor Lewis was a high official in the province, and even the Mayor of YODC City had to curry favor with him. Yet, Jas Brown gave him no face and even carried a threatening tone, which was incredibly impressive.
However, it wasn’t appropriate to follow him out at this ti, so she stayed with John Harris.
John Harris looked at Victor Lewis and said, "Secretary Lewis, what do you think we should do about this?"
Victor Lewis took several deep breaths to calm his agitated emotions before saying, "Handle it normally." Then, he flung his arm and left.
John Harris gave a wry smile, looked at Helen Wilson, and said, "It seems the arms in the Capital of SSUP are indeed thicker."
Helen held her head high and said, "Then Michael Wilson committed a cri, he should be handled this way." Inside, she felt imnse pride; even if Jas Brown took lody Yoody, that man was still hers.
lody Yoody and Jas got into the car, smiling as she said, "So, you are indeed a big shot from the Capital of SSUP, truly impressive." Others might not know Jas Brown’s past, but how could she not know? Naturally, she knew that Jas being a big shot from the Capital was a sham.
Jas chuckled and said, "It’s all because Lucy Campbell bestowed this identity upon . Whether I have this background, don’t you know?"
lody pouted, then suddenly reached out and pinched Jas’s ear, eyes wide as she said, "What’s your relationship with Lucy Campbell exactly?"
"What relationship could I have with her? We’re just good friends." Jas quickly explained with a grimace.
"Good friends? Who are you kidding? A good friend who grants you all these benefits, treating the company as if it’s your gift, and always covering for you. When we went to Capital of SSUP, she even picked us up personally. Would such a person do all this for a friend?"
"lody, think about who Lucy is, how could she have any relationship with ? We really are just friends."
"Really? You didn’t take advantage of her, did you?"
"No, no! Absolutely not! I wouldn’t dare."
"Is there anything you dare not do? Emily Berns isn’t easy to deal with either, yet you managed to get her pregnant, didn’t you?"
"But I really have nothing to do with Lucy Campbell, I just don’t understand why everyone always thinks so. Lucy being involved with is simply unthinkable."
