53: Chapter 53 Accused of Being a Thief 53: Chapter 53 Accused of Being a Thief “Co in first,” said Jas Brown, ushering Emily Jenkins into his apartnt, “Let’s see if you dropped them here just now.”
“Oh, that’s possible,” Emily’s eyes lit up imdiately, and then she began searching Jas’s apartnt.
Nothing in the living room, nothing in the kitchen, not in the bathroom either, and then she actually dashed straight into Jas’s bedroom.
“Hey, you didn’t go into my bedroom, did you?” Jas followed her in, a bit amused and relieved, “Fortunately, my room is clean, and there’s nothing inappropriate for children.
Otherwise, that would’ve been really embarrassing.”
“Oh…
You’re right, I haven’t been in this room before,” Emily rubbed her hair, spreading her hands, “Looks like I definitely left them at ho.”
Jas asked, “Do any other places have keys to this apartnt?
Like the landlord or the property managent?”
“The landlord has gone abroad, and the property managent doesn’t have the keys.
I asked specifically.
Oh, why am I so stupid?
Why didn’t I leave a spare key with the property managent office?
Then I could have just asked them to open the door whenever I lost my keys.”
Jas had a facepalm mont, “So, you’re always losing your keys, huh?”
“Well…
It’s not just keys, I lose everything.
I even suspect that’s why my money runs out so fast, because I keep losing so, but I can’t rember how much I had on to begin with, so I wouldn’t even notice when it’s gone.”
“You…
you’re really sothing,” Jas was at a loss for words again, Emily was just too careless.
Emily pouted, embarrassed, “Then I’ll just call a lockpicking company to open it.”
Emily seed clear on what to do, imdiately pressing the elevator button.
Before long, she had scurried down the stairs.
Jas had intended to tell Emily not to bother with the lockpicking service, but the elevator was just coming up from the floor below.
As soon as Emily pressed the button, it arrived, and before Jas could say anything, she had already dashed out.
Jas shook his head.
Emily was indeed impetuous.
He then took out a small knife, popped out a steel wire, and inserted it into the lock of Emily’s door.
Although all locks, the thods for picking them varied.
For example, room locks could be opened simply by springing the pins and pressing the handle.
But for security doors with their cross-shaped locks, it wasn’t too difficult to pick the pins, but turning the lock required so skill.
Just pulling on the handle would not do; it was ti-consuming.
Even a pro like Jas took about twenty seconds to pick a security door lock.
He wasn’t in a hurry, so he took his ti, making it a bit longer than usual.
The sound of the elevator door opening ca from behind.
Jas didn’t look back; from the sound of the footsteps, one person was coming, and it sounded like a woman, probably Emily returning without having found a lockpicker.
Oddly, Emily seed to be tiptoeing towards him as if she didn’t want him to know.
Jas found this funny – was she trying to spook him?
The elevator door was loud, and there’s no way he wouldn’t have heard her.
She really was too naive.
Ignoring her, Jas was sowhat amused by Emily’s antics; joking around with her was fun, so he continued fiddling with the lock.
But when the person was a couple of steps behind him, Jas felt an air of hostility.
He was speechless for a mont; surely Emily didn’t suspect him of trying to steal from her place.
Jas stopped and prepared to turn around to explain to Emily, but just then, she made her move.
Hands reached for his right arm – without looking back, Jas knew it was a standard takedown technique, “Black Belt.”
At that mont, he realized it wasn’t Emily but another woman, and the technique was a common arrest maneuver likely taught to police.
Such moves were far too simple for soone like Jas.
Jas didn’t dodge, letting the woman grab his arm.
As it was twisted behind him, he also heard her shout, “Don’t move, I’m a police officer.”
His arm twisted, Jas did not resist.
After all, she was a police officer, and resisting would amount to assaulting an officer.
Now back in the city, facing the police, he could only comply.
Plus, as Jas turned his head, he saw that the officer was young and attractive; being caught by such an officer wasn’t the worst thing.
“Officer, what are you doing?” Although Jas didn’t resist, he still put up a struggle, calling out loudly.
“What are you doing?
I caught you red-handed trying to pick the lock.
What have you got to say for yourself?” The female officer felt that Jas Brown’s struggling was quite forceful.
She twisted his arm even harder while pushing him against the door.
To prevent Jas from escaping, she not only used the strength in her hands but also lifted one leg and pressed it against his waist.
“Officer, you’ve got the wrong idea, I’m not a thief,” Jas imdiately yelled out loud.
“Keep still.” Feeling Jas still struggling, the female officer applied even more pressure.
It was her first ti catching a thief, a mix of nervous excitent.
Unsure if her hold was enough to subdue Jas, she suddenly tripped him, causing him to fall to the ground.
Then she grabbed his right wrist with both hands, and once again, she pressed her right leg against his waist.
At the police academy, she’d been taught that this was one of the best ways to subdue a suspect.
With a twisted wrist and pressure on the waist, it was difficult for the other person to exert any strength.
Normally, this would be the mont to handcuff the suspect and end the confrontation, but she didn’t have handcuffs on her, leaving her unsure of what to do next.
“Officer, I’m really not a thief.
I live in the room in the middle here,” Jas quickly pretended to explain in pain.
“The middle room?
You sure co up with good excuses.
If that’s your room, why were you ssing with the lock on this one?”
“My neighbor lost her keys.
She’s gone out to find a locksmith, and I was seeing if I could pick her lock so we wouldn’t need one.”
“You’ve got quite the story.
Enough of your nonsense.
If you have anything to say, save it for when we’re at the station,” the female officer snorted coldly.
She wanted to reach out for her phone to call for backup but was afraid that loosening her grip might give Jas the chance to resist violently and make him harder to subdue.
“Officer, is this really necessary?
It hurts,” whined Jas, pinned down by a beautiful woman.
Even though the position was sowhat tantalizing, it was also embarrassing.
If he hadn’t been wary of revealing his true strength in front of an officer, he could’ve easily flipped her off.
“Stay put or I’ll have to be rough with you,” the female officer snarled, smacking Jas on the head with the hand she had just freed.
Feeling Jas had finally cald down a bit, she carefully reached for her phone.
Jas was getting frustrated.
This young lady had even smacked him on the head.
If he didn’t teach her a lesson, and if his old comrades ever found out about this, he would lose face completely.
Suddenly, he twisted around, attempting to break free.
The female officer got startled, and her body slamd onto his, releasing his hands and instead went for his neck.
Jas felt a bouncy pressure on his back and was both annoyed and amused.
This female officer was clearly too inexperienced in arresting soone—if soone can call that an arrest.
She was practically giving herself away.
This scenario only got more risqué.
With a playful spirit, Jas let the female officer treat him like a thief, all the while pressing down on him.
If he didn’t get a little bit of compensation for himself, how could he justify the situation?
So, while he vigorously struggled, he shouted, “I’m not a thief!”
The female officer was taken aback.
She hadn’t expected her first thief-catching experience to be such a struggle, especially against soone with obviously greater strength.
Unable to secure Jas’s critical points, she found it extrely challenging to restrain him.
But she was not willing to just let him get away, so she stubbornly choked his neck, hoping to cut off his breathing and finally subdue him.
As Jas struggled, the contact between their bodies grew more intense, and Jas took full advantage.
Now he was in no hurry to get away.
He made it seem like a challenge for the female officer to restrain him, but also didn’t escape, and they both persisted in this deadlock.
Jas struggled harder and harder until, with a sudden thrust of his hips, he managed to flip over and press the female officer beneath him.
Weighing over one hundred and fifty pounds, he firmly pinned her down, eliciting a muffled groan from her.
Her arms weakened, and Jas imdiately took the opportunity to twist around.
Although he hadn’t freed himself from her arms, he was now facing her directly.
For the first ti, Jas got a good look at the female officer’s face.
Her hair was not too long but not exceedingly short either, just reaching her neck.
It was quite ssy now, with strands plastered to her sweaty face, a bit disheveled.
Yet this did not diminish her beauty in the slightest.
Her large black eyes were full of anger, and her pretty face was flushed from intense activity.
She bit down on her silvery teeth, her nose twitched continually, and her rapid breathing due to the exertion was evident.
Beautiful!
She was truly beautiful!
This was the first thought that ca to Jas’s mind upon seeing the female officer.
She was still in her police uniform, which was now sowhat disheveled, the neckline slightly open, revealing a glimpse of her pale neck, adding to the seductive power of her uniform.
