228: Chapter 229: Your Choice 228: Chapter 229: Your Choice “Gina, go outside, you’re not needed here,” Jas Brown said as he grabbed Gina Lopez’s shoulders and pushed her out to prove his point once again.
Gina reflexively struggled, glanced outside, then twisted her body and said, “Alright, I’m going out.
You do your thing.” Then she quickly walked out.
Gina’s reaction once again confird Jas Brown’s suspicion that she did not like him and did not genuinely want to be with him.
Since Gina didn’t truly like him, Jas Brown could easily guess her intention, which was still because of Grace Lopez.
Because Grace had developed feelings for him, Gina wanted to avoid such a situation—it wasn’t that she thought Jas was not good enough, but things like these happening at ho were too awkward.
First, he was her boyfriend and then her sister’s; it’d be too hard to explain to their parents.
That ant Gina didn’t necessarily have to be with him, just as long as he wasn’t with Grace, that would be enough.
Understanding this, Jas Brown beca more composed in dealing with Gina.
Knowing that she had no true feelings for him, he felt less burdened—it could be acting, or just a ga, it was all for fun anyway.
After preparing a lavish dinner, the five of them sat together, eating and drinking happily.
Initially, Jas wanted to leave after dinner, but Gina’s formidable mother imdiately stopped him, her face stern, “Gina just ca back from a business trip; how can you two be separated?
You’re staying together tonight.”
Though not put very directly, Gina and Jas could clearly read between the lines—the intention was to hurry them into the sa bed, to get a grandchild.
This embarrassed Gina greatly, while Jas found it rather amusing and pretended to be troubled, “This house isn’t big enough, I wouldn’t fit if I stayed.”
Gina’s mom imdiately retorted, “What do you an it’s not big enough?
I’ll sleep in one room with Sandra, and let the old man sleep on the couch.”
Jas hurriedly said, “That won’t do, let sleep on the couch.”
Gina’s mom glared, “Why the couch?
No, you must stay with Gina.”
Sandra giggled, raised her hand, and loudly said, “Okay okay, I’m the youngest here, I’ll sleep on the couch then.
No problems now.”
Gina’s mom instantly bead with joy, “Right, let Sandra sleep on the couch, no objections now, right?”
Jas looked at Gina, shrugged helplessly, and Gina could only roll her eyes in agreent.
Thankfully, she hadn’t felt much pressure staying in the sa room with Jas before.
Mr.
Lopez originally wanted to play chess with Jas, but his wife outright denied it, saying that Gina and Jas had been working so hard, how could they not let them go to sleep early?
Mr.
Lopez laughed it off and dropped the idea.
Although he hadn’t expressed it, he was as keen on Gina having children soon as his wife was, only, being a man, he wasn’t as eager to show it.
Gina and Jas finished their baths and had to go straight back to the bedroom to avoid being nagged.
Once the room door was closed, Gina sat on the bed, looking troubled, “Why is there a new demand now?
It’s giving a headache.”
Jas, relaxed, lay on the bed and lit a cigarette, contentedly smoking away.
Gina, slling the smoke, turned around angrily, “We have the air conditioning on and you’re smoking, do you have any public manners?”
Jas jumped up to open the window, saying, “Just airing it out will be fine.”
“You…” Gina glared at Jas but didn’t say more.
Though initially bothered by the sll of Jas’s smoking, she wasn’t as annoyed anymore, it was just her cleanliness; she didn’t like ash everywhere, especially in the bedroom.
After finishing his cigarette, Jas yawned, “It’s getting late, let’s sleep.”
Gina just humd in response, turned around, and saw Jas comfortably lying in the middle of the bed, which made her frown slightly, “You’re sleeping in the middle, where should I sleep?”
Jas chuckled, “Right next to , of course.”
Gina’s face darkened, but seeing Jas’s amused expression, she suddenly felt her response might be a bit off and gave him a stern look, “I’m not ready yet, let’s just keep it as it was before.”
“Look at you, accepting in your heart but not with your body, you’re making suffer,” Jas shook his head helplessly and moved a bit to the side.
Feeling a bit guilty, Gina turned off the light and felt her way onto the bed.
Feeling that Jas was far enough away, she let out a sigh of relief.
Thinking about how Jas had never overstepped before, she wasn’t worried about him doing anything now.
But not long after, Jas suddenly moved closer to her, making Gina tense up but not daring to make a sound.
She whispered, “What are you doing?”
Jas leaned close to her ear, murmuring, “It’s not about what I want to do, but isn’t the soundproofing in this room a bit bad?”
“Rember the ti Sunny and I stayed at your place?”
“Of course I rember…
you rascal!” Gina Lopez’s face flushed instantly.
When Jas Brown and Sunny Nguyen stayed here, the noises they made kept her awake.
It was also the first ti she had heard such sounds, how could she forget?
“You should understand then, your parents must have also heard the noises from our room, right?”
Gina retorted begrudgingly, “Even if the soundproofing is poor, such loud noises definitely couldn’t be heard.”
“What I ant was, we shouldn’t let them not hear the noises, but rather let them hear the noises, right?”
Gina totally didn’t catch Jas’s drift, frowning and slightly turning her head to look at Jas and ask, “Let them hear, what do you an by that?”
Jas curled his lip and said, “You, the big CEO, how can you be so dense at tis like this?
What do you think uncle and aunt were implying by sending us to bed so early?”
“Are they thinking…
oh…” Gina finally grasped the implication in Jas’s words, her face turning a deeper shade of red, extrely embarrassed, stuttering, “You’re not suggesting…that I …
mimic Sister Sunny’s sounds, are you?”
“Smart!” Jas looked at Gina with a cheeky smile, feeling extrely delighted inside.
These past few days Gina had given him a lot of headaches, and now he finally had a perfect chance for revenge.
“No way, I’d rather die.” Gina shook her head decisively, her tone very firm.
Jas turned over and lay back down, indifferently said, “Suit yourself then.
Anyway, I’ve thought up the idea for you, dealing with being nagged tomorrow morning is your problem.”
Gina’s mouth twitched, her mom’s nagging was indeed deadly, she really didn’t want to bear it, but to mimic the sounds Sunny made that night…
Even if she really got married, really did that thing with a man, Gina firmly believed she would never make such noises.
“Let ask you again, are you really not up for it?
I’m going to sleep then, and you better not disturb .” After a while, Jas asked again.
“Go to sleep, go to sleep, I won’t call you,” Gina huffed, really wanted to kick Jas off the bed so he’d continue sleeping on the floor just like before.
“I’m off to sleep then.” Less than two minutes after Jas spoke, his breathing had already evened out, seemingly asleep.
“What a pig!
Falls asleep just like that.” Gina secretly scolded.
It was very quiet in the room now, faint sounds drifting in from outside.
“Sandra, when you stayed here, was your sister’s room also completely silent?” This was mom’s voice.
“I don’t know, I sleep deeply, I wouldn’t hear any sounds,” that was Grace Lopez’s voice, and quite loud at that.
“Mr.
Lopez, about Gina, she cos back from business trips but doesn’t get cozy with Jas, when will they have kids then?”
“You old woman, why are you ddling in everything?
The kids are all grown up, they aren’t clueless.” That was Jonathan Lopez’s voice.
“I just can’t help but worry, I still need to have a serious chat with Gina tomorrow, the child is really out of line.”
“Right!
Mom, you must have a good talk with big sister.” Grace Lopez was making things worse.
Gina, listening to the conversation outside, her heart sank.
If mom started lecturing her about that topic, she would surely go mad.
To avoid mom’s nagging the next day, suddenly Jas’s suggestion seed not so bad.
But the thought of making such lewd sounds, she had no clue how she was supposed to make them, that darkened Gina’s face.
This sort of thing, how could she ever do it?
And if her family and that guy next to her heard it, how could she face anyone tomorrow?
This left Gina feeling extrely conflicted.
Thinking over and over, mom’s nagging was still deeply terrifying to her, and a little embarrassnt didn’t seem like a big deal, especially since her parents apparently wanted to hear such sounds.
“Just shout it out then, what’s the big deal, especially since this guy is asleep anyway.” Gina bit the bullet, finally made up her mind, opened her mouth, and let out a sound.
