143: Chapter 143: Drunken Resignation 143: Chapter 143: Drunken Resignation Jas Brown stood up leisurely and walked straight to the leadership stage at the front.

Jas Clark watched him with a smug look; this guy actually had connections with Sunny Nguyen, and that was sothing he couldn’t tolerate.

Today was the day to fire him and make him understand that by offending Jas Clark, he’d lose his job as well.

Jas Brown looked at Jas Clark with a smile and said, “Hey, why are you so dense?

If I were you and I wanted to deal with soone, I’d keep them around and then find ways to make life difficult for them, slowly torturing them.

That’s the real thrill, isn’t it?

If you just fire , I’ll dust off my butt and leave.

What can you do to then?”

Jas Clark was stunned for a mont, realizing that what Jas Brown said actually made sense.

He really had been too impulsive.

If he had kept Jas Brown around and slowly tornted him, that would have been so satisfying.

“What’s wrong?

Regretting it now?

But you can’t take back your words, can you?

Let teach you then.

You should say, ‘Although you’ve disrespected the leadership, I see you still have so ability.

We can consider another evaluation.

If you make the sa mistake again, we won’t be so lenient.'”

Jas Clark’s mouth twitched again, regretting his actions once more.

“Ah, regretting again.

As a leader, as the CEO of the company, if the decisions you make are inaccurate and you regret them afterwards, you should stick to your original decision to maintain your image.

How could you hesitate like this?”

With three sentences, Jas Brown had Jas Clark going in circles, exposing his incompetence completely.

He could feel the employees looking at him with unusual glances; although they all looked down when his gaze t theirs, Jas Clark knew his dignity had hit rock bottom.

“Get out of here!

You’re no longer an employee of our company,” Jas Clark shouted, his anger getting the better of him.

Jas Brown shook his head and said, “Look at you, making another mistake.

Even when dismissing an employee, you should tell them to settle their accounts with the finance departnt.

You shouldn’t just drive them out like that.

Now, who here can work with peace of mind?

Who knows when the boss will be in a bad mood and just send soone packing without even settling their wages.”

“You…” Jas Clark fiercely slamd the table, too angry to speak to Jas Brown.

Jas Brown chuckled and said, “Bye-bye then, ‘wish you good luck’.” After taking a couple of steps, he looked back at Mary Johnson and said, “Fat Pig, you’d better keep an eye on this kid.”

Mary Johnson’s face turned a shade of steely blue as she jumped up, flipping the table and cursing like a fishwife, “Jas Brown, you bastard, I’m not done with you.

I’ll make sure you regret this.

No matter where you work, I’ll make sure you fail.”

Jas Brown ignored Mary Johnson, instead smiling at Jas Clark, “So, who’s the real boss here, you or your wife?

Has the company beco a mom-and-pop shop?”

After finishing his words and laughing heartily, Jas Brown made his exit with confident strides.

Jas Clark had intended to use Jas Brown to establish his authority, but it all backfired, leaving him humiliated and unprepared to recover his dignity once Jas Brown had left.

“I’m resigning!” a girl’s voice suddenly rang out.

Her declaration was shocking, especially during the company’s first major eting—it was a direct slap in the face, and a harsh one at that.

Nobody expected such words to co from Sarah Utah, the youngest mber of the logistics departnt, a pretty girl known to everyone in the company.

No one had expected her to stand up at this mont.

Jas Clark was truly enraged; it was bad enough being humiliated by Jas Brown, but now a young girl dared to defy him.

He said with a stern face, “If you resign now, the company will not offer you any compensation.”

With her cheeks flushed but her resolve firm, Sarah Utah said, “I don’t need any compensation.

What I need is a place where I can work peacefully and have opportunities for growth.

But looking at you, CEO Clark, it’s clear you cannot offer such prospects.”

The seemingly frail girl then strode towards the conference room door without looking back.

“Insurrection!

Who else wants to leave?

Go ahead, leave now!” Jas Clark yelled, slamming the table, completely losing his composure.

Naturally, the company was filled with ambitious and spirited individuals.

Moreover, Jas Brown had spread the word in the morning about the possibility of continuing to work with Gina Lopez.

Now with Sarah Utah leading the way, about fifteen or sixteen people stood up in an instant.

The company eting had turned into an unprecedented farce, generating a great deal of ridicule that would be widely discussed in the JYPP Region Company for years to co.

Jas Brown was still in the eting room when Sarah Utah stood up.

He hadn’t thought the girl could be so resolute, and he waited at the door to et her.

Sarah Utah moved quickly, exiting the eting room in less than twenty seconds.

Seeing Jas Brown at the door, her pretty face blushed as she said, “Big Brother Brown, you haven’t left yet?”

Jas Brown replied with a cheerful smile, “I was waiting for you.

You’ve resigned from your job, and it would be remiss of not to help you secure another position.”

Sarah Utah giggled, her mood brightening, “Well, if you didn’t look after , I’d starve.”

The two of them chatted and laughed as they entered the elevator, but before the doors could close, a few more people walked out.

They waited for them until the elevator was full.

Jas Brown looked at these people and laughed, “You’re all courageous.

Don’t worry, in less than a week, you’ll all be able to work at the new company.”

Jas Brown was very confident about this, not because of Gina Lopez, but because of Lucy Campbell.

Lucy Campbell was now his neighbor, sotis mooching off food and drink, and with so many determined young people recomnded by him, she was bound to agree.

Having just resigned, everyone was sowhat nervous, but, reassured by Jas Brown’s promise, they all relaxed again.

Disappointed by Jas Clark’s performance, they knew there was nothing to be achieved at such a company.

Those who were hesitant now felt compelled to make a decisive move.

Jas Brown and Sarah Utah first returned to the logistics departnt and began sorting things out.

Soon, Emma Davis arrived with other employees.

Given how the eting had gone, there really was no need to continue.

Knowing that Jas Brown and Sarah Utah’s departure was irrevocable, Emma Davis did not persuade them further, only encouraging them to make sothing of themselves in the new company.

Jas Brown and Sarah Utah handed over their work and then walked out of the company with their heads held high.

Those who hadn’t left watched them with envious eyes, for they were not necessarily optimistic about the company’s current situation.

Yet, they did not have Sarah’s courage to tender their resignation directly.

After stepping out, Sarah said with a grin, “Big Brother Brown, are you not going to treat to a al today?

I was the first to support you, after all.”

“Of course,” Jas Brown replied with a chuckle.

But just as he had agreed, his phone rang.

Glancing at the number, Jas Brown said with a wry smile, “It’s Ms.

Lopez calling.

I wonder if our dinner plans tonight will fall through.”

“It’s okay.

We’ll be working together in the future and will have plenty of chances,” Sarah said with a sweet smile, stepping a few paces away so as not to disturb Jas Brown’s phone call.

Now, Jas Brown answered the call, and Gina Lopez’s voice ca through, “Can you co ho early?

Tonight, Sunny and I plan to drink till we drop, so help us cook a couple of dishes.”

“Alright, I’ll head back right away,” Jas Brown hesitated but agreed.

Seeing the apologetic smile on Jas Brown’s face, Sarah waved her hand at him and said, “Big Brother Brown, being with your girlfriend is more important.

You can treat so other ti, just owe for now.” Then she walked away with a light step.

Jas Brown first bought so groceries and then a case of beer and headed ho.

At ho, Gina Lopez and Sunny Nguyen were sitting in the living room chatting away, both in high spirits, showing no signs of dejection and very excited.

Grace Lopez greeted him imdiately, pouting, “Brother-in-law, why did you just get back?

I was almost bored to death.”

Jas Brown chuckled and said, “Wasn’t I at work?

Take these inside.

I’ll cook you so nice dishes today.”

“That’s great, I’m starving,” Grace said.

Both Gina Lopez and Sunny Nguyen glanced at Jas Brown, then continued their conversation without minding him.

Jas Brown cooked a sumptuous dinner, and everyone sat down and ate together.

After a few bites to line their stomachs, they started drinking.

Today, Gina Lopez and Sunny Nguyen let loose even more.

They were a bit down yesterday, but today they were happy, so they drank unrestrainedly.

Within less than an hour, the case of beer was emptied.

And so, the responsibility of buying more alcohol naturally fell once again on Jas Brown.

This ti he simply bought two cases.

“I can’t drink anymore, I’ll get drunk if I do,” Sunny Nguyen said, swaying her head, feeling hesitant to continue.

“No problem, we’re happy today, so we should drink to our heart’s content,” Gina Lopez insisted.

Grace Lopez joined in, “Sister Sunny, if you get drunk, just sleep here; you can sleep with .”

Sunny Nguyen hesitated for a mont, and then said, “Alright then, I’ll let go; tonight, we won’t stop until we’re completely drunk.”

With all reservations cast aside, they started drinking again.

By around ten o’clock, all three were almost completely drunk.

Jas Brown, however, was fine.

He had a high alcohol tolerance, usually able to drink eight to ten bottles of beer without issue, plus the fact that they drank slowly provided more ti to tabolize the alcohol, so he was not drunk.

“Oh…” Suddenly, Sunny Nguyen clutched her mouth, on the verge of throwing up.

Jas Brown quickly hurried her into the bathroom to let it all out.

After vomiting, Sunny Nguyen was practically unconscious.

Jas Brown briefly helped clean her up, then carried her to Grace Lopez’s room and laid her down on the bed.

When he ca out, he saw Gina Lopez and Grace Lopez staggering towards the bathroom, and soon after, the sound of vomiting followed.

Jas Brown didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

These three won were all beauties, but none could remain beautiful when drunk; the sll of vomit was especially unpleasant.

“Jas, can you get us so nightgowns?

We need to change our clothes.

Oh, in Grace’s closet, there are two sets I just bought,” Gina’s voice ca from inside.

Jas Brown quickly went back into Grace Lopez’s room, took out the two identical silk nightgowns from the closet.

The weather was warm now, and it wouldn’t be cold to wear such nightgowns at night.

He brought the nightgowns to the bathroom, where he saw Gina Lopez and Grace Lopez were both groggy.

Jas Brown asked, “Can you manage?”

Grace Lopez opened her eyes, dazed, and said, “Brother-in-law, are you going to help change?”

Jas Brown quickly exited.

Grace could still speak, so they should be able to manage changing clothes on their own.

Better to let them do it themselves.
