"If you wish to interact with him, I would remind you never to trust a single word he says. However, if you still choose to place your faith in him, then I would also remind you... do not doubt him, do not question him, surrender your trust to him completely."
—A famous remark made by Furina with a smile when asked about her opinion of The Supre Bishop of Fontaine during an interview.
—
Robin stared at the description beneath The Supre Bishop's character art, crossing her arms as she fell deep into thought.
She was pondering what these words truly ant.
In Furina's eyes, what kind of person was The Supre Bishop? What exactly were her feelings toward him?
This was a question Robin had been considering ever since she first started voicing Furina, yet even now, she still couldn't figure it out—if anything, she was only growing more confused.
Kiana couldn't be trusted, because Robin was 100% certain that Kiana still hadn't finalized the complete character settings for The Supre Bishop and Furina.
However, Robin also couldn't just dismiss the question entirely just because Kiana was unreliable.
Because at this stage of Genshin Impact's developnt, Kiana was in a strange state of being both untrustworthy and trustworthy.
She was untrustworthy because Kiana truly did charge ahead without thinking, carelessly writing plotlines and settings without considering future story developnts.
But she was also trustworthy… because she actually managed to make it all work!
No matter how much it seed like Kiana was about to completely derail the story and lore, she sohow always managed to tie everything together in the end!
Given that, Robin couldn't just take things one step at a ti anymore. She felt she had to assu that Kiana had already fully fleshed out all the character settings and then use that as a foundation to interpret Furina's character for a better performance.
So, she needed to seriously think about how Kiana might eventually reconcile Furina's character in the future.
Asking Kiana directly was pointless—she made things up as she went.
But one thing was certain: Kiana could actually patch up the ssy plot holes she created by retconning things bit by bit.
If that was the case, then Kiana's current design for Furina must align with her future complete characterization.
Which ant there was still room for interpretation.
Right now, what Robin wanted to understand most was what kind of emotions Furina harbored toward The Supre Bishop.
After thinking for a while, Robin noticed that Genshin Impact's new update had finished installing. She opened up her livestream, hoping that this version's story would give her a deeper insight into Furina's inner world.
The livestream had been Fu Xuan's suggestion. Since Robin was currently at the peak of her global popularity, Fu Xuan wanted her to stream her gaplay to help boost engagent.
After Eden took the world by storm, Robin's songs had also exploded in popularity. The small studio the two of them had established under miHoYo had now officially grown into a globally renowned entertainnt company—they were already raking in profits just from the two of them alone.
That said, Robin still devoted far more energy to her work at miHoYo—voicing Furina—than she did to her celebrity activities.
After all, being a star and running an entertainnt company didn't actually earn her any money. All the inco she made from her celebrity ventures went straight into another charity foundation she had established. For living expenses, she still relied on her work at miHoYo.
Well, that was a joke—Robin didn't really care about money. Ever since she was little, she had always donated whatever she earned to charity.
The real reason was that she and the others had poured far too much emotion into Genshin Impact.
Setting up subsidiary companies and such were just minor details. What everyone truly cared about was making Genshin Impact the best it could be, because they all shared this exhilarating, anticipatory feeling—like they were genuinely creating an entire world.
Robin was no exception. Much of Genshin Impact's music had been composed under her and Eden's direction—Kiana had no clue about any of that.
As the ga's producer, Kiana was only responsible for setting up the challenges. But those of them who had to solve those challenges had invested no less passion into Genshin Impact than Kiana herself.
At the sa ti, Robin also had deep personal feelings toward Furina as a character.
She adored Furina and truly wanted to breathe life into her.
But how was she supposed to do that when the character wasn't even finalized?
Right now, Robin felt like her voice acting was only scratching the surface—like she was portraying Furina with no real soul behind it.
She felt she wasn't fully imrsing herself in the role like others did, truly becoming the character and experiencing their emotions. Instead, she was just acting as Furina, acting as the Hydro Archon—and that felt incredibly awkward.
With these thoughts weighing on her, Robin could only sigh and begin her livestream.
Version 2.5 in this update, Furina had lines as well. But Robin was still curious about where exactly these lines would be used.
