Mr. Mo listened to Yu Siqiao’s promise, his eyes slightly reddened as he nodded, "Good, good, if you have such awareness, that is for the best."

As he spoke, he turned his head to look at the surrounding crowd, "It’s just that I’m old, and there aren’t many days left for to look after Shushu. It’s uncertain when I’ll be gone, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to make decisions for her."

Mo Shu felt a bit of distress, "Grandpa, you’re only 69 years old, you will live to be a hundred!"

Mr. Mo smiled contentedly and asked, "How far along are you?"

Mo Shu fell silent for a mont, "Less than a month."

"Grandpa gives you two months to get to know Si Qiao well, and if, in the end, your decision is still the sa as today, Grandpa will support you," Elder Mo’s aged eyes, still sharp and astute, settled on Yu Siqiao as he said with a somber voice, "The Yu Family might be noble and wealthy, but our Mo Family is not less than the Yu Family by a hair! If you find your relationship displeasing, I still have the authority to make that call!"

His gaze was fierce, and his tone was authoritative, the warning clear without words.

Yu Siqiao bowed his head slightly, "Rest assured."

"I am not reassured at all," Mr. Mo snorted lightly, "Yun Jing, co here."

Yun Jing was none other than ng Yunjing, who had recently returned from studying in Italy.

Hearing this na, Mo Shu’s ears perked up, and she scanned the crowd.

ng Yunjing had been sitting on the couch in the hall the whole ti. Hearing Grandpa Mo’s words, he stood up.

Only then did Mo Shu catch sight of ng Yunjing himself and realized he had long hair, black and soft, casually tied at the back of his head.

He wore a gray robe with a string of sandalwood beads around his neck, exuding a sowhat retro, literary aura. He had on a pair of thin-frad, large glasses and presented a gentle and refined temperant.

He was clean-cut and fair-skinned.

A very mild-mannered man.

ng Yunjing’s face carried a smile as he walked over and called out, "Great Uncle."

Sao Zha, hearing the address, touched his chin and asked, "What relation is ’Great Uncle’?"

Mo Shu explained: His mom calls my grandpa ’Uncle Grandpa,’ which ans his mom’s grandmother is my grandpa’s sister. Simply put, he’s a distant relative.

Sao Zha comnted, "...Kinship really is a tangled ss!"

"The two of you grew up together since childhood. I entrust this matter to you," Mr. Mo said, "If anyone ever dares to bully Shushu, I expect you to teach them a lesson!"

’Second Aunt’...

That was quite a senior relation.

ng Yunjing accepted the task without surprise. Looking at Mo Shu, he said, "Shushu’s matters are my matters. Rest assured, even if you didn’t ask, I wouldn’t ignore anything concerning Shushu."

Mr. Mo nodded in satisfaction, "With your word, I’m relieved!"

ng Yunjing nodded with a smile, "But she’s right, you will live to be a hundred, and such things probably won’t fall on to handle."

Mr. Mo laughed with his eyes squinted, then turned back to see everyone behind ng Yunjing and said, "You’ve all co from far away, and it’s getting late. Stay and have dinner with us tonight."

Of course, everyone politely declined and dispersed.

Mo Shu hadn’t expected things to develop this way, making her task even more difficult to complete swiftly.

Feeling weary at heart, she intended to return to her room to mull over so strategies when suddenly Old Man Mo said, "Shushu, Mr. Wu is here. Have him take your pulse."

Mo Shu: "..."

After being seated, Dr. Wu took her pulse and said, "Indeed, you are pregnant. However, it may be due to excessive emotional fluctuations or long-term fatigue— the condition of the fetus seems sowhat unstable. I’ll prescribe so fetus-preserving dicine for you. Rember to take it on ti."
