Grandpa Mo was startled. "What do you an? Explain yourself clearly!"

Mo Shu saw that he seed genuinely unaware and said with a half-smile, "Last night, late at night, they had a fight. Aunt Qin tried to smother Mo Jiantao with a pillow. You didn’t know anything about this?"

Grandpa Mo’s eyes widened. "How is that possible?"

"Possible or not, why don’t you ask Mo Jiantao yourself?" Mo Shu huffed, "Originally, my suggestion was to hand Qin Yuan over to the police and charge her with attempted murder, after all, if I hadn’t woken up in the middle of the night and called, your son would have been gone."

Grandpa Mo was shaken to the core and said, "Housekeeper Yang, go call that reprobate out here!"

Housekeeper Yang quickly followed the order.

Mo Jiantao, although weak, was no longer in pain from his injuries. He walked out slowly but looked spirited at least.

Upon exiting, Mo Jiantao saw Mo Shu.

When Housekeeper Yang had called him, he had known it must have been Mo Shu making a complaint. Now seeing her, he wasn’t surprised. Walking out, Mo Jiantao called out first, "Dad, you were looking for ?"

Mr. Mo looked at Mo Jiantao, his voice cold, "Last night, Qin Yuan tried to kill you, is that true?"

Mo Jiantao had intended to keep this incident secret and didn’t want Elder Mo to know, but with Mo Shu’s arrival, Mo Jiantao had a hunch and nodded, "Yes."

Elder Mo, seeing the reluctance in Mo Jiantao to speak more about it, suddenly felt even more upset.

Mo Shu said, "Grandpa, am I still being unreasonable this ti?"

Grandpa Mo gave a bitter smile, "I’m sorry, just now Grandpa didn’t realize..."

Then he looked at Mo Jiantao, "How could you, this reprobate, keep sothing so important from your father?"

Mo Jiantao replied, "Qin Yuan is old. She wouldn’t be able to handle prison."

Mo Shu sneered coldly, "You’re not old. She almost killed you. Can you handle that?"

Her words dripped with sarcasm.

Mo Jiantao felt his face burn but soon said, "For her, divorce is a greater punishnt. She has lived a life of ease and grace all her life. Now that she’s divorced, she probably dares not go back to her family."

"My mom also lived a life of ease and grace. After marrying you, she couldn’t go back to her family either," Mo Shu retorted coldly, "But I never saw you feel sorry for my mom. It seems Aunt Qin really is important to you, yes, after all, she willingly stayed by your side for over a decade, not sothing just anyone can do."

Mo Jiantao, stung by the sarcasm, said, "Shut your mouth!"

"Why should I?" Mo Shu scoffed, "You know exactly what Sha Ling did for you back then. To this day, you know she wasn’t responsible for that incident, but have you ever taken that bla off her shoulders?"

Mo Jiantao was furious, "How can I take it off! Sha Ling is dead; do you want to apologize to her in heaven?"

"That’s not a bad idea," said Mo Shu with a light sneer, "I should have just let you reap what you sowed. It was my mistake to ddle and make that call."

Mo Jiantao’s face shifted through various colors, "What do you want to do?"

"Apologize to Sha Ling," Mo Shu curled her lips slightly, her eyes cold, "Although she’s dead, her gravestone is still there. Do you even rember the date of her death anniversary?"

Mo Jiantao’s face changed, he fell silent for a mont, then said, "The day after tomorrow."
