"In the United States on a mission?" Mo Shu glanced sideways, "What did my mom do before?"
Xing ngzheng, having just finished putting on her necklace, smiled at the question, "I’m not very clear either, but it seems her background was not simple. I had exchanged a few words with your mom in the past, but we were not close."
Mo Shu nodded, she could imagine.
Who would want to be familiar with a rival?
Xing ngzheng brought a mirror over, "You look really beautiful."
Mo Shu also checked her reflection and noticed that this outfit and the necklace indeed matched perfectly, exuding elegance and luxury.
"You’ll have to toast later; just drink tea," Xing ngzheng looked increasingly pleased with Mo Shu’s appearance, "If soone wants you to drink later, just move your hand away and show your belly."
Mo Shu glanced at her own belly, so that was the plan?
Xing ngzheng gave a few more instructions and then left.
Mo Shu had Ji Nan rub her shoulders; she was feeling quite drowsy when she caught the scent of tobacco and alcohol.
Mo Shu wrinkled her nose and looked up; it was Yu Siqiao.
Yu Siqiao seed to have drunk a bit, carrying the sll of smoke as well.
Seeing her tired expression, he spoke softly, "Go and rest first; I’ll co back later."
Mo Shu shook her head, "I haven’t really t much of your family; everyone has always been busy. Today is a good chance to et them all."
Yu Siqiao stroked her face gently, "There will always be a chance to et them, and even if you don’t go out of your way, they will compete to et you."
Mo Shu could sowhat imagine what that would be like.
Her family also had many relatives, but Mo Shu did not like dealing with them, so Grandpa generally handled such social interactions.
"The other relatives are not a problem, but I have an aunt who might be a bit difficult."
"Aunt?"
"Yes," Yu Siqiao recalled, "She’s quite stubborn. She was pampered by Grandpa when she was little, so she has always been resentful that it was my dad who inherited the Yu Family."
For so reason, Mo Shu thought of Mo Jiantao.
Thinking about this, Mo Shu smiled and said, "Mo Jiantao also resents that Grandpa passed the family business to ; he has always been causing trouble."
Yu Siqiao pondered for a mont, "It’s different from your dad’s situation. My aunt was married for the second ti; her first husband was chosen by Grandpa. Although she didn’t like my first uncle, she didn’t dare to confront Grandpa and agreed to the marriage. But soon after getting married, she had an affair; her second husband is now my uncle."
"She had an affair... What was your first uncle’s reaction?"
Yu Siqiao shook his head, "At that ti, his company faced so problems. He was selling milk powder then, and the products were found to have excessive chemical content that could cause poor developnt in children, among other issues. With his wife’s affair and this blow, he killed himself."
Mo Shu was shocked, "Why would he give up like that, no matter what, staying alive is the most important thing."
"My Grandpa said the sa," Yu Siqiao shook his head, "But he probably had so ntal issues at that ti, so he gave up impulsively."
"Did your aunt remarry after that?"
"Yes, later the liabilities of the company were resolved by our family. At that ti, her second husband had no career. Now... they’ve acquired the company and turned it into one of the top baby milk brands in the nation."
