What was different was that Uncle Dong was personally selected by Mr. Mo to serve as Mo Shu’s butler.

Decades earlier, Uncle Dong had signed an agreent with the Mo Family, pledging his lifeti servitude, akin to that of a slave.

But unlike a slave, Uncle Dong held a high status within the Mo Family.

In fact, if Uncle Dong had not sealed his own fate, he could have continued to live in high esteem there.

Yet life’s path is such that a single misstep can make it impossible to turn back.

Mo Shu, looking over the information on ng Xiangdong, felt it was just too similar to Uncle Dong.

Other than their backgrounds, the rest was like a carbon copy of Uncle Dong.

Even their appearances were similar, except where Uncle Dong exuded the pride of a gentleman to his core, this ng Xiangdong was originally a ruffian from the United States.

Picking up the phone, Mo Shu asked Ji Nan to check on Uncle Dong’s current situation.

Soon, Ji Nan replied, "Uncle Dong has been assigned to work in a mine. He has settled in already. I inquired with the person in charge in the Middle East and received a video which I’ve forwarded to you."

Mo Shu received the video promptly.

In the video, Uncle Dong was sunburnt to a pitch darkness, his hair gray and longer, his beard unkempt, appearing at least thirty years older than during his ti with the Mo Family.

He was devouring a al from a food container so voraciously that when he noticed he was being fild, he stood up in anger, shouting in Arabic with a heavy accent, "What are you doing!"

The video was brief and soon ended.

After watching the video, Mo Shu fell into deep thought.

Wei Yuantong had always enjoyed imitating her, and when they were young, everyone would call her the counterfeit Princess.

At that ti, the person closest to Mo Shu had been Uncle Dong. Could it be that Wei Yuantong had deliberately found soone who resembled Uncle Dong so much, to mimic and learn from Uncle Dong, as a way to further imitate her?

Mo Shu thought it was a possibility, but found such an act utterly disgusting.

As Mo Shu continued to watch Wei Yuantong’s video, Sao Zha chid in, "You’ve been quite off lately."

Mo Shu: Hmm?

Sao Zha: "You’ve been really irritable lately. Although it’s common for pregnant won to be irritable, the change in your temper has been too drastic. I just checked your hormone levels and found them to be sowhat elevated, though not enough to justify such irritability."

Mo Shu also felt that her temper had been terrible lately.

Previously, although her temper wasn’t great, it had never been so bad that she would infuriate herself to the point of chest pain.

Now, not only had it happened, but it was happening quite frequently.

But she had heard that it was normal for a pregnant woman’s mood to worsen a lot during pregnancy. Could this be considered a normal phenonon of pregnancy?

Continuing to read, Mo Shu quickly drew up a plan and handed it over to the public relations departnt.

With conclusive evidence in hand, there was no need to endure in silence anymore.

She directed the PR departnt to post a clarification ssage through the official account and to sue the troublemaker behind the scenes. Jijue’s reputation was not to be tarnished in vain.

After arranging these matters, Mo Shu logged into her own social dia account and found a pile of private ssages.

Opening them, she encountered all sorts of vile words, berating her as Jijue’s new head: calling her useless, malicious.

Mo Shu rarely used these apps; her account wasn’t verified, she had few followers, and even within their circle, few knew of her account, so it was impossible for the netizens to know who she was.

Seeing these vicious curses, Mo Shu’s heart clenched, and as she scrolled further, she nearly exploded with anger.

[Lolitawy]: Heard you’re pregnant with twins, hope they’re born stillborn.
