Yu Siqiao’s lips were pressed together, and upon closer inspection, a tear quickly slid down.

He was now certain.

She was crying.

Her breathing remained steady and even, lost in slumber, perfectly quiet.

Yu Siqiao, who initially intended to wake her up, paused his action, slowly lowered his hand, and gently caressed her face.

His fingers tenderly brushed across her brow and eyes, the moisture dampening his fingertips, causing an emotional ripple within Yu Siqiao—his breathing tightened, and the smooth, tender sensation from the palm of his hand, belonging to her, was irresistible. His thumb couldn’t help but rub slightly over the skin.

So smooth, so tender.

Even touching was this comfortable, what would kissing feel like?

As this thought sprung up, Yu Siqiao felt as if guided by so invisible force, and before he could react, his movents grew lighter and closer, ever closer...

Mo Shu had a dream.

She dreamt she was flying in the sky, and when she landed, she saw the old orphanage director playing the piano, waiting for her to co ho for dinner.

Seeing her enter, the director scolded, "Why are you so late? If you’d been any later, all your food would have been eaten by Pianpian!"

She couldn’t help but laugh, pestering the director over dinner, then begging her best friend, Pianpian, to play the piano for her.

Later, ti passed in a blink, and she was grown up, walking down the street when suddenly, a person fell from the sky, headfirst, and smashed right in front of her, brains splattering.

She fell to the ground, but caught sight of the person’s face.

It was her dad.

It was her father who had jumped to his death in front of her when she was four.

She wanted to scream, but found herself paralyzed, unable to move.

Unable to scream, unable to run.

She didn’t know what to do; she couldn’t even cry.

Suddenly, a shadow enveloped her from above, dispelling all her demons.

Above him was the sun, effortlessly illuminating her world, and she looked up joyfully...

Yu Siqiao held his breath, his heart racing uncontrollably as he watched himself closing to less than a centiter away from her.

However, unexpectedly, those long, lash-frad eyelids suddenly fluttered open, revealing deep, murky, and drowsy eyes.

In these eyes, a faint joy shone through the duskiness; she was confused for an instant and then clarity returned.

Mo Shu saw a pair of deep, burning dark eyes, as if embedded with a myriad of stars, vast and profound, with long, thick, and curled eyelashes.

Their eyes t, and before Mo Shu could discern who it was, the pair of beautiful pupils constricted sharply, then as if electrified, suddenly sprang apart, without any warning.

Mo Shu was startled and then heard a very clear sound of a head hitting the wall.

"Thud."

"Hisss..." Yu Siqiao gasped, holding his head and half-collapsing onto the floor, looking uncharacteristically disheveled.

Mo Shu suddenly snapped back to reality, sat up quickly, and exclaid, "How co you are here!"

Yu Siqiao, still holding his head and gasping in pain, clenched his teeth. Upon hearing her words, he exploded, "This is my house, my room! Why wouldn’t I be here!"

Mo Shu then realized that indeed it seed to be the case.

Yu Siqiao imdiately stood up, raising his voice, "You woman, you’ve taken over my bed already, and now want to sar my sheets with your face powder! If I hadn’t woken you up in ti, my sheets would be ruined!"

But confronted by Mo Shu’s clear eyes, a pang of guilt hit him, and he turned around, barking fiercely, "Now that you’re awake, get out!"
