Yu Siqiao’s mom is nad Xing ngzheng, a typical high-class lady.
Yu Jinggang was kind and famously known for his filial piety and humility, and Yu Siqiao perfectly inherited his mother’s traits.
Xing ngzheng’s character, however, was very bad.
Her mouth, equally venomous.
When Mo Shu was once chasing after Yu Siqiao all over the world, Xing ngzheng had scolded Mo Shu in front of nurous high society ladies: "She’s just a pretty face, crude and brainless, arrogant, and lacking in manners. If it weren’t for Elder Mo’s sake, the mont she appeared before , I would have thrown her out. Want to marry my son? Not only would my son not fancy her, but she also wouldn’t get past !"
Because of Xing ngzheng’s remarks, many high society ladies who initially didn’t know Mo Shu started frequenting places Mo Shu often visited, as if they were watching a spectacle.
So were amazed by Mo Shu’s appearance, while others agreed that Xing ngzheng had seen right through her: Princess Mo, a crude and ill-mannered person.
Word spread from one to ten, from ten to a hundred, and soon the unanimous verdict was: Princess Mo of the Mo Family was a brainless beauty, arrogant, pretty yet without manners, uncultured, and spoilt, yet audaciously setting her sights on the precious only son of the Yu Family.
Yu Siqiao might have had a temper, but his looks and figure were top-notch, coupled with his family background and prestigious parents. Among the daughters of prominent families, Yu Siqiao was a god-like figure, to be admired from afar but unapproachable.
Everyone wondered when Mo Shu would give up, as they all knew what Xing ngzheng had said. Trying to enter the Yu Family was most likely impossible.
Yet, unexpectedly, Yu Jinggang really liked the girl, and kept trying to pair his son with her. Xing ngzheng opposed, but Yu Jinggang would secretly encourage his son to consider Mo Shu.
Yu Siqiao firmly rejected it a few tis, but who knew that he would end up tricked into sharing a bed with Mo Shu.
This incident beca well-known, and apart from sympathizing with Yu Siqiao, many were waiting to see Xing ngzheng beco a laughingstock.
After all, Xing ngzheng’s harsh words had been very loud, and many knew them; in the end, wasn’t the marriage settled?
In the original story, Xing ngzheng despised Mo Shu because she had embarrassed her, and later Mo Shu still remained defiant, which fueled Xing ngzheng’s resentnt.
Thus, she not only accepted Gu Wenjuan’s kindness but also used it to slap Mo Shu’s face, often bringing Gu Wenjuan to various high society gatherings and introducing her as her son’s girlfriend.
From Gu Wenjuan’s perspective, Xing ngzheng was incredibly cool, a marvelous mother-in-law!
But now, she was Mo Shu, the malicious supporting character!
Mo Shu was terribly anxious.
Yu Siqiao was on the phone and suddenly turned to look at Mo Shu, saying, "I’ll be together with her... yes... arriving in an hour, yes."
Suddenly, Mo Shu said, "I cannot go today."
Yu Siqiao had just hung up the phone, heard her words, and his expression turned sour, "Why."
She made up a random excuse, "I’m not wearing a long dress."
Yu Siqiao paused, suddenly feeling uneasy.
Ever since he heard his mom saying that girls in long dresses were gentle, every ti he saw her, she was in a long dress.
She claid, since the mother-in-law already disliked her, she had to try even harder to beco the person her mother-in-law would like.
Unlike today’s professional pantsuit—though it looked spirited and sharp—it was a stark contrast to her usual self in long dresses.
What was this woman aiming for now?
