Su Yanyi's phone rang, and she knew from the caller ID that her assistant had arrived. The familiar na on the phone screen caused Su Yanyi's eyes to narrow slightly, and her breath turned even colder, carrying a hint of murderous intent.
Standing by, Qin Jiran's expression also beca more solemn, and he couldn't help but speculate about the origin of the call.
"Wait," Su Yanyi said coldly after answering the phone, and then she walked outside. But this action and reaction allowed Qin Jiran to guess who was on the other side of the call.
Su Yanyi had two personal assistants, one male and one female. The male was nad Kang Zhong, responsible for external affairs, and the female was nad Sun Minyi, responsible for Su Yanyi's personal matters. Both individuals could be considered Su Yanyi's right- and left-hand persons, and were highly trusted by her. Under normal circumstances, it was Sun Minyi who took charge of picking up Su Yanyi.
And it was this sa Sun Minyi, who had betrayed Su Yanyi in the past, even going beyond betrayal to orchestrate a murder plot, resulting in a car accident. The outco left her in a coma for two years, and then she was nearly murdered again by a woman nad Wang Zhilin.
Su Yanyi knew about this because, while she laid comatose, Sun Minyi and Wang Zhilin stood by her bed, speaking words filled with venom and jealousy, expressing their dissatisfaction, their resentnt, and most importantly, their sches against her!
Su Yanyi rembered very clearly the malicious faces of these two won. Thinking back on those monts, a deeper chill enveloped her.
Qin Jiran, watching her with so concern, felt as if sothing was about to happen. Although the rumors outside claid Su Yanyi acted ruthlessly, this cold and murderous deanor, as if she was about to kill soone, was the first ti he'd seen it.
Despite how worried Qin Jiran felt inside, he could only stand in place and watch Su Yanyi walk away, his gaze deepening.
To chase after this woman's shadow, he had always been working desperately hard, but after so many years, the distance between them seed to have not closed at all, which truly frustrated him. What's more, he felt as if he was beginning to get used to this frustration.
Because of the divorce issue, Qin Jiran had cleared his schedule for the entire day. Now with nothing else to do, he went to the study. He had just won the Starlight Award for Best Actor, and the scripts he could choose from had increased in caliber. Among them was a magical drama called "Demon's Fall," which he liked a lot and was considering participating in.
Qin Jiran spent over ten minutes reading the script, but he couldn't settle his mind, the image of Su Yanyi's chilly departure haunting him.
What exactly had happened?
Qin Jiran turned on the computer and went online, directly accessing Splendid Entertainnt's official website. Everything appeared normal, and he couldn't discern anything out of the ordinary. He then visited his own official website which, as always, was bustling with activity. The various comnts, especially the rumors, made him both laugh and cry, particularly when he's clearly kept to himself, dedicating his heart and soul to Su Yanyi. Yet, so many rumors still circulated about him, so based on nothing but speculation about actresses he worked with, and others completely fabricated, leaving him to marvel at the creativity of others.
Scrolling down the page, Qin Jiran suddenly saw a comnt from a fan nicknad Little Sister Qin.
[Brother Qin, I heard you're in love again. Is it true love this ti?]
True love? He only had one true love!
Perhaps it was the overstimulation of the day's events, but Qin Jiran himself didn't know what he was thinking when that sentence struck him like a spark. His mind heated up, and he imdiately posted a ssage on his official website.
"I have true love, and I will only love her for my whole life, all the other rumored love interests are fabrications, absolutely not the truth!"

But in reality, he is very low-key, never participating in variety shows or talk shows. After a brief shock, many fans began to comnt frantically.

"Did you write the ssage on the official website? Have you lost your mind?"
"It was , I'm not crazy." He just wanted to tell everyone that his heart already belonged to soone; he didn't want to be associated with any more ssy rumors of love interests!
"Not crazy and you still dare to say that? Do you know how much trouble you're causing with this? Do you think that just because you beca Best Actor, you can stop caring about everything? Do you even know what you're doing?" Tao Yuke's tone was very stern, with obvious annoyance, and the scolding made Qin Jiran feel slightly uncomfortable.
Tao Yuke was an old-tir at Splendid Entertainnt, having joined the company before him and always carrying an air of superiority. Qin actually didn't like this manager very much, but he had been handpicked by Su Yanyi, and even though he didn't like him, he never said a bad word. More so because the manager was indeed capable, but that didn't an Qin was without temper.
"Watch your tone. If you don't know how to handle this, I'll find soone who does." Qin Jiran's voice was cold, full of resolute pressure.
Tao Yuke may be capable, but often he didn't seem to share the sa heart as Qin, who knew about many little maneuvers behind his back. If it wasn't for considering Su Yanyi, he would have replaced him long ago!
