"Let’s go." Su Yanyi wasn’t the type to dilly-dally with indecision, readily agreeing instead of going back and forth about the destination.
Then, holding hands, they walked toward the large shopping mall not far away, as their hotel was conveniently located in the business district, making walking much easier than driving.
"Have you thought about what to buy?" Su Yanyi herself usually had no desire to shop and seldom prepared gifts. The ti she put the most thought into buying gifts was likely when she gifted Qin Jiran those dozen or so items for the System upgrade.
In fact, Qin Jiran could be considered a "most" in many other aspects for her: like the person she loved the most, her favorite person, the person who could soften her the most, the person she wanted to protect the most...
"I don’t know what to buy either. The foreign stuff is all available back ho now; it’s not new anymore." Qin Jiran also hadn’t given many gifts, especially since it was for the entire Su family. What should he get?
"Then let’s just walk around and see." After all, she didn’t know either.
The two of them walked into the mall holding hands. With hats and sunglasses on, and being abroad, they didn’t attract much attention. They looked just like an ordinary couple, going through the floors, picking out gifts for everyone back ho.
Even though, as Qin Jiran said, foreign goods were available dostically, and even more so for the Su family, a gift is a gift. It wasn’t about the value, but the sentint. Therefore, they both selected their gifts carefully, choosing items appropriate for both elders and children.
In truth, the two of them rarely had such monts together, like a regular couple shopping. They could only recall doing it once or twice as neither of them were keen shoppers. Fortunately, both of them had good taste, so they didn’t end up buying anything too bizarre.
After about an hour of shopping, they each carried a few items, including a long dress for mom and a pair of cufflinks for dad. As for grandpa’s gift, they hadn’t found the right one and thought that if all else failed, they could send the two chubby babies over, which would surely please grandpa.
"How about this model? It’s quite interesting." Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi were in a model shop filled with various high-tech toy models when he spotted a miniature aircraft carrier. Although countless tis smaller than an actual carrier, the model’s deck looked impressively equipped, and the ship itself was quite substantial, over a ter long.
"It’s good; it should keep him busy for half a year." While it was just a model, one had to assemble it, which would be a decent project for a six-year-old to stay engaged with for half a year.
"..." Why did he suddenly feel that Yanyi’s knack for backhanded complints had deepened? In the end, they bought the model of the small aircraft carrier and had it shipped directly to their ho. Even unassembled, it was quite a large package.
Once they had placed their order, they walked out of the model shop, and the Dark One team mbers promptly followed. This ti four mbers were assigned to stay near Su Yanyi and him, maintaining a distance that afforded them a good amount of space. To an ordinary observer, it wouldn’t be evident that they were together; the couple seed just like any other.
As they left the model shop, a group of people approached from the opposite direction. Leading the pack were four or five young heirs, with about a dozen n in black suits, sunglasses, and earpieces—clearly bodyguards—surrounding them tightly, reminiscent of a high-profile leader being escorted.
