"That’s good."

Old Master Su’s illness had just like that gotten better, and knowing that the dicine could alleviate cancer pain, he had felt a sigh of relief. He personally took the remaining dicine to see his critically ill old friend.

Zhao Guangyi, also Old Master Su’s old friend, had been so ravaged by cancer that he was nothing but skin and bones, lying on the hospital bed, potentially passing away at any mont. His children and grandchildren had all rushed from different places to perform their filial duties by the old man’s bedside, but the elderly man had mostly been in a coma, and the tis he woke up were getting fewer and fewer.

When Elder Master Su arrived, he was imdiately ushered in by everyone. Upon seeing his old friend in a comatose state, his eyes reddened, and sitting by the bed with a tremble, he waved for Father Su to take out the dicine. He then said to Zhao Guangyi’s eldest son, "This dicine, it’s our own Su family concoction, hasn’t undergone any lengthy clinical observation, but this old man was sick a few days ago, and after taking this dicine I got better. So I brought a few doses for Old Zhao to try. Although it can’t cure cancer, it might ease so of the pain. If you don’t mind, let Old Zhao take it."

Big Boss Zhao, who was in his fifties, had always respected Elder Su deeply. Yet, hearing what Elder Master Su said, he hesitated. Although his old father seed on the brink of death, this dicine wasn’t sothing that could be taken lightly. If it worked, naturally it was a good thing, but if sothing happened after taking it, it wouldn’t be good for either family.

Big Boss Zhao wasn’t worried that Old Master Su would harm Elder Zhao, nor did he think his own father had much longer to live; the doctor had already issued two critical condition notices and had inford them not long ago that their father, at most, had another two months. They were advised to fulfill their final filial duties.

So for Big Boss Zhao, the dicine truly seed ineffective, and he feared that if Elder Zhao took it and sothing happened, it could sour the relationship between the two families. Yet if he refused, it would seem rather impolite, so he hesitated for a mont.

"Give it to Old Zhao, I know what you’re thinking, it’s fine, I’ve taken it myself," Elder Master Su sighed inwardly and spoke earnestly.

Hearing this, Big Boss Zhao no longer refused. He was grateful for Elder Master Su’s good intentions and carefully fed the dicine to Old Master Zhao.

While Big Boss Zhao appreciated Elder Su’s genuine concern for his father, he never really believed the dicine would have any effect; he considered it no more than a psychological comfort. However, the mont he finished administering the dicine, a change occurred almost instantly.

Old Master Zhao had been in a deep sleep, but right after drinking the dicine, he imdiately stirred and slowly opened his eyes. Though slow, the movents made everyone realize that he had indeed woken up. And if his awakening could still be seen as a coincidence, his waxen complexion gradually turning rosier made the skeptics less nurous.

"Cough cough cough, Brother Su, you, why have you co again? No, no need to always co see , this is how things are for now." The last ti Elder Master Su visited, Old Master Zhao had been lucid for a while. Seeing him again upon awakening, he naturally spoke, but as soon as he finished his sentence, he and the attending Zhao family mbers all felt it was strange; knowing Old Master Zhao, though occasionally lucid, rarely spoke so clearly.

"Old Zhao, do you feel any different? A little better?" Seeing Old Master Zhao awake, a joyful look appeared on Elder Master Su’s face, and he eagerly inquired about Old Master Zhao’s condition.
