In fact, the entertainnt industry often favors exaggeration. Take the variety talent show Qin Jiran was in charge of, for example. It’s touted as a global competition, but in reality, it involves participants from just over a dozen countries, each seeking fa in the entertainnt industry or through the competition itself. Although the majority do possess a certain level of skill, the overall quality is uneven, and the entertainnt value obviously outweighs the competitive aspect.

After checking in the contestants, a preparatory eting for the competition was held that very evening, marking the start of another round of busy work for Qin Jiran.
On the first evening of Qin Jiran’s absence, Su Yanyi acted quite normal. She had dinner in the main house then offloaded the two children onto her parents, Mother Su and Father Su, before returning to her own smaller residence.
She read a book, but it was uninteresting, checked her phone, but found no compelling shows, then thought to tackle so docunts, only to realize she brought none ho. With nothing to do and feeling restless, she left her house and went to the flower room in the backyard to look at the flowers.
It was early April, and the flower room was lush with life. Stepping inside made her feel the air was particularly fresh. Su Yanyi intended to find a spot to sit for a while, but instead noticed her grandfather smoking his pipe not far away. Her expression imdiately turned cold. Her grandfather had given up smoking a long ti ago and would only smoke occasionally when he was upset.
"Grandfather, what’s wrong?" Su Yanyi approached Old Master Su with concern in her voice.
Old Master Su looked rather gloomy and sorrowful, fixated on a cactus about half human height in front of him. Surprised to hear Su Yanyi, he let out a deep sigh and slowly said, "This cactus was given to by a dear friend over thirty years ago. Each of us old buddies raised one, deciding to see whose cactus would be the finest when we reached a hundred years old. But now, barely into our eighties, one by one, we’re passing away. Sigh."
Upon hearing this, Su Yanyi imdiately understood that sothing had happened to one of her grandfather’s old comrades. Elder Su and his friends, all around eighty, had known each other since their youth—truly lifelong friends. Each bond was incredibly deep. They had all gathered during the twins’ full month celebration not long ago, and now she didn’t know which of them had encountered trouble, leaving her grandfather here, heartbroken and reflective.
