When the contractions started, Qin Jiran was pouring water for Su Yanyi, who, enduring the pain, began to furrow her brows, yet her expression remained extrely calm.

There really was nothing to panic about; they had done everything to make sure these two children would be born safely. As long as she, the mother-to-be, could endure a bit more hardship, the kids would surely be born without complications.

"Jiran..." Su Yanyi tried to control her breathing as she softly called out her husband’s na.

The hand that Qin Jiran had been using to pour water shook suddenly. Yanyi’s voice sounded very different—sowhat cool, yet with an added touch of determination and tenderness. It was a complicated mixture, but also very real. At just that voice, Qin Jiran sensed what was happening, and his complexion changed subtly.

"Yanyi, you—you’re about to give birth?" Qin Jiran felt his own voice trembling as he looked at Su Yanyi’s face, that expression bearing a hint of forbearance seed to be telling him one thing: Yanyi was really about to give birth!

"Call the doctor." At the sa ti, the System’s voice rang out.

[Congratulations to the host for completing a Level Four task once, gaining one point. Current point total is forty. Upon completing the Level Four points task, just complete the Upgrade Task and you will advance to Level Five. The task for upgrading from Level Four to Level Five is the smooth delivery of both fetuses, please persevere, Host!]

With Su Yanyi’s firm words, Qin Jiran imdiately sprang to action. Although his heart was filled with chaos, his reactions were extrely quick. He seriously told himself not to panic, not to lose composure. Yanyi needed him the most at this mont; nothing could go wrong!

The doctor arrived swiftly, ready to wheel Yanyi into the delivery room. Qin Jiran stayed by her side the whole ti, his voice trembling as he called out Su Yanyi’s na repeatedly. There wasn’t much else he knew to say; he wanted to comfort Yanyi, yet found she was even calr than himself, leaving him sowhat at a loss.

"Mr. Qin, you may follow into the delivery room. However, are you sure you want to go in?" The delivery room of the hospital wasn’t a secret anymore, especially not for people like Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi. The doctor kindly asked, knowing that although husbands could enter, not every husband was willing to do so. It took courage to face what happened inside the intense environnt of the delivery room.

"Yes, I’ll go in." It was a decision made long ago. Qin Jiran, holding Su Yanyi’s hand, followed the gurney into the delivery room. At the sa ti, many elders of the Su family received phone calls and imdiately rushed over, waiting outside the delivery room for the arrival of the two new lives.

Pain, such extraordinary pain—it was probably the most painful thing Yanyi had ever experienced. Childhood injuries from knife wounds seed nothing in comparison. Yet Su Yanyi kept her teeth clenched, not crying out, as her complexion grew paler, making her look especially fragile.

Qin Jiran watched on the side with a heartache so intense it felt like his heart was being squeezed together, a truly unbearable feeling. He wished he could take her place and bear the child instead.

Qin Jiran still held Su Yanyi’s hand tightly, her grip so strong that her fingers turned pale.

"Yanyi, if it’s painful, just cry out. Don’t hold it in. I’m here, I’m right here with you. The kids will be born soon, and then the pain will be gone..." Qin Jiran’s words were becoming disjointed. He didn’t even know what he was saying anymore. In the monts when his thoughts were clearest, there was only one idea—he never wanted to see Yanyi in such pain again.

At that mont, as if there was so telepathy between them, Su Yanyi bit her teeth and said, "Those two little things, huh huh, don’t you dare, huh huh, have go through this again after they are born!"
