Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi, although they had decided to attend the anniversary celebration, hadn’t made it publicly known. Despite the beneficial impact their identities could bring to publicizing the event, there was also a concern that the overwhelming enthusiasm of the fans might lead to unexpected incidents, so they hadn’t announced it in advance. Hence, both the guests and the dia were very surprised to see them appear together at the celebration. But after the initial shock, it was all excitent, especially for the journalists from various dia outlets. Originally dispersed throughout the banquet hall, they quickly gathered around the couple upon their arrival.
"President Su, you rarely attend Su Enterprises’ events, so what brings you here this ti?" A quick-witted reporter seized the opportunity and asked, effectively cornering the two at the venue’s entrance.
Su Yanyi glanced at the reporter but showed no intention of replying. With a wave of her hand, the Dark One team, who accompanied them, imdiately stepped in between the journalists and the couple, clearing a path for them to enter.
Due to the recent changes within the Su family and Su Yanyi’s pregnancy, under Grandfather Su’s arrangent, the Dark One team had beco the personal bodyguards of Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran. Whenever the couple went out, there would be at least two mbers from the team closely guarding them.
The anniversary celebration of the Su family was held at the banquet hall of a five-star hotel owned by them. The party was just about to begin when Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi arrived.
As the two entered the hall, they instantly attracted a number of gazes. Most attendees were acquainted with Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran, and even those who didn’t know them personally were now virtually obligated to recognize them due to their high dia exposure.
So, as soon as they appeared, the crowd recognized them imdiately. Coupled with the journalists’ actions, everyone knew who they were. At that mont, Father Su also stood on the podium, ready to comnce the opening speech for the anniversary celebration.
"Yanyi, Jiran, co over here to dad," Father Su called out to them using the microphone. Mother Su stood beside him with a smile on her face, leaving no room for the couple to refuse.
Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran made their way over and stood beside their parents, and the opening speech officially began.
"Welco, friends, to the anniversary celebration of Su’s. There are two very important announcents we have for you this ti. Firstly, we will be introducing a series of Ancient Imperial Court secret recipes during the celebration. These delicacies will also beco signature dishes at Su’s hotel chain after the celebration; we hope to bring a delightful surprise to all the food enthusiasts. The second announcent is about changes in Su Enterprises’ shares distribution. Although my daughter and son-in-law have been busy with their careers, the Su family is also their family. Therefore, I’ve decided to gift ten percent of my shares to them as a present for my soon-to-be-born grandchild."
Father Su certainly lived up to everyone’s expectations, dropping two heavy bombshells that left the crowd sowhat dizzy.
Ten percent of Su’s shares? How much money was that? They quickly started tallying on their fingers, wondering if it was nine or ten figures. Oh, please don’t tell them it’s eleven figures; they only have ten fingers, so how could they count that? Could they borrow one from soone nearby?
Besides the shockingly generous share transfer, the news of Su Yanyi’s pregnancy was undoubtedly the biggest surprise. Of course, for most people, it was just a surprise, as the news didn’t largely affect them, but the journalists’ eyes shone with excitent as they eagerly recorded the mont. For them, one trip not only secured the top story for the finance section, but the entertainnt headlines were sealed too. They were sure to receive a bonus when they got back!
