"No way." She was unwilling to put the fierce beasts she raised on stage for such performances, not ignorant of the fact that these creatures, though their fights appeared spectacular, were drugged before going on stage to reduce their stamina and strength, preventing them from truly fighting to the death. Yet, such drug use was harmful to the animals themselves, many of whom did not et good ends, and Su Yanyi was not interested in partaking in such actions.
"Don’t refuse so quickly, let’s talk." Corey persisted, trying to tempt her. "You like antiques, right? How about I exchange them for the animals? What do you say?"
"Cut the crap. No exchange. Don’t the animals and people die on your ship every year in droves? I don’t want those animals sent to their deaths," Su Yanyi said bluntly, unapologetically stating the facts. Although the Su family was a mber of the Dark Forces, they had principles in their business dealings.
Corey was clearly disappointed and looked at Su Yanyi with a mournful expression.
That look from Corey made Su Yanyi uncomfortable; it was strange for a grown man to look at her that way!
After so thought, Su Yanyi suddenly ca up with an idea and said, "We can’t do this business, but maybe we can do sothing else."
Corey’s eyes lit up with curiosity. "What do you want to do? There’s no problem on my end." The Warrens family to which Corey belonged already had a partnership with the Su family, and his father had always hoped he could forge a good relationship with Su’s current generation.
"The Warrens family owns a dia company with a good reputation. Are you interested in cooperating?" Su Yanyi was in the dia and entertainnt business, so naturally, she sought collaboration in this field.
"dia? With Dragon dia or Splendid Entertainnt?" Corey wasn’t surprised by the answer, just a bit disappointed. He still preferred underworld business, and clearly, dia wasn’t that.
"Is there a difference? Do you really think they are two separate companies?" Su Yanyi replied with a question, finding Corey’s query quite pointless.
"True, we’re all one family. Why make distinctions? So, how do you want to collaborate?" Corey also realized his question had been sowhat superfluous. The Su family had many enterprises, but as a family, why the need to separate ’us’ and ’them’?
In the following ti, everyone scread as they watched the beast fights on stage, while Su Yanyi and Corey began discussing potential cooperation, summarizing both the dostic and international dia environnts. Qin Jiran was listening beside them, finding the conversation quite interesting. He poured Su Yanyi several glasses of water when he thought she might be thirsty while talking.
Every ti Corey saw Qin Jiran pour water for Su Yanyi, he wanted to hand over his own cup as well, but before he could, Qin Jiran would already offer him a bottle of mineral water... Was the disparity in treatnt really so blatant?
Corey felt that the longer he spent ti with Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran, the more blows he took; there truly was a growing sense of being increasingly disliked.
As the two chatted, they touched upon the subject of current reality TV shows. Su Yanyi thought of the program that Qin Jiran was planning and asked, "Jiran, is there a possibility to include the program you’re planning into this collaboration?"
M country was a highly comrcialized society where pursuing profit was the goal for all enterprises, including dia, and the Warrens family, where Corey was from, was no exception. Yet undeniably, it was this very pursuit of profit through various schemings that best suited the public’s tastes, and many reality TV shows were very successful and held valuable learning and cooperation opportunities.
"If you guys decide to cooperate, I would naturally welco it," Qin Jiran understood this principle well. If a talent show could be co-founded by two countries, the ultimate impact was bound to be more profound than doing it alone.
