Corey felt helpless about the couple’s behavior, chuckling as he teased, "This is a matter of politeness, you two are really impolite."
"Sorry, my idea of politeness isn’t on the sa level as yours." Su Yanyi wasn’t one to fall for Corey’s ways. Having known him since childhood, they had t many tis, and had grown familiar with each other. Otherwise, had he kept calling her "sister Yanyi, sister Yanyi", she would have hit him long ago!
"How could that be? We’re all Earthlings; there’s not that many levels. Right, brother-in-law?" Corey turned the conversation to Qin Jiran.
Qin Jiran’s first eting with Corey was during Old Master Su’s birthday. At that ti, Corey’s gaze towards Qin Jiran was full of scrutiny and probing, and now, even though sowhat concealed, it still contained elents of testing and uncertainty.
"Earthlings are divided into many groups, each with different levels of civilization," Qin Jiran said coldly, looking at Corey as if he were looking at an idiot. With his wife there, how could he possibly side with Corey? Absolutely not.
Corey’s eye twitched, feeling that this couple was indeed well-matched, both so unskilled in the art of conversation!
"There’s a saying from where you co from, ’It takes a family to understand a family’, and it really does make sense." Although Corey was of mixed heritage, he had grown up abroad and naturally considered himself a foreigner.
"Thank you," Su Yanyi took the remark without any courtesy. She and Jiran were indeed a suitable pair.
"Ahem, Yanyi is still Yanyi, unchanged even after marriage. Alright, let’s not stand in the cold any longer. Welco aboard the Luxury Liner, please follow inside for a tour. I have prepared everything for you, and I wish you a pleasant journey. Hehe, hoping for a big harvest!" Corey straightened up, suddenly becoming serious and spoke with great dignity.
Su Yanyi’s eyes twinkled, and her gaze also turned towards the surroundings of the cruise ship, revealing an extrely interested expression.
Qin Jiran’s expression beca more serious as well, subtly positioning Su Yanyi behind him. This was to be a wonderful and thrilling journey, and also one with certain dangers. He always rembered that his most important task here, like that of the Dark One team, was to protect Yanyi at any cost!
As they boarded the cruise, both Qin Jiran and the Dark One team switched to their best state of readiness.
Corey, observing everyone’s reactions, showed a hint of admiration, but still spoke reassuringly, "While there’s a mixed bag on board, rest assured, your safety is my top priority."
The Warrens family and the Su family were old friends and business partners. When Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran ca here, his father had given a strict order: to ensure their safety at all costs. Of course, in his view, even without their protection, the Su family mbers would not be in any danger. If anything, those who cross the Su family are the ones in peril.
As for Corey’s remarks, Su Yanyi was noncommittal. As a mber of the Su family, or as herself, she would never leave her safety in soone else’s hands.
Corey led everyone into the interior of the cruise ship, explaining the layout while guiding them. Modern ships are getting more and more luxurious, especially this Luxury Liner, which was like a mini-city, with residential areas, comrcial districts, entertainnt zones, etc. - both bustling and luxurious, dazzling and splendid.
"Folks, I will first take you to the rest area. I’ve specially arranged a suite for you, hehe, I hope you like it." Corey had truly gone to great lengths in arranging the suite.
