Splendid Entertainnt’s end-of-year celebration banquet was an annual event. Although it was just a celebration for an entertainnt company, it could not be overlooked by the entire entertainnt circle. The guests invited were not only artists from Splendid itself but also well-known artists from several other dostic companies. It truly was a gathering of stars, where the brilliance was dazzling.
This kind of banquet generally had unwritten rules: the more prestigious one’s status, the later their arrival would be. Therefore, the company’s second and third-tier artists would arrive first, followed by artists from other invited companies. Of course, before these individuals, journalists from all over the country had already gathered at the company’s entrance, all prepared and waiting for the mont when the stars converged to collect the most explosive news.
It was during the ti just before the banquet started that the real big nas of the entertainnt industry would arrive, including various award-winning best actors and best actresses, as well as top singers. Each person stepping out of their car would cause a burst of cheering. Then, the many reporters would push forward, eager to take photographs, making the scene extraordinarily lively.
Splendid Entertainnt had already grown accustod to such spectacle and extended the red carpet to welco the guests, allowing the stars to better showcase themselves and attract more attention. The artists from Splendid would also walk down this red carpet. While the event was Splendid’s celebration banquet, industry insiders jokingly referred to it as "walking the mini red carpet," since the guests who attended sotis outnumbered those at the real red carpets of major award shows.
However, not everyone was willing to walk such a red carpet. At least Su Yanyi did not join in this excitent, but Qin Jiran did make an appearance. This was not because he wanted to join the fray or promote himself; rather, he was not even at the company but had hurried over from the film set. To ensure that the movie could be released during the Chinese New Year period, the crew had been working overti since Christmas. As the male lead and the assistant director, he was even busier.
Even though he had rushed over, Qin Jiran remained the most dazzling figure of all. His pure black suit added to his imposing deanor. His walk from the car to the company entrance caused countless screams of excitent. Reporters who had been interviewing others flocked to him, sparing no effort in taking various photos of Best Actor Qin.
Yet, Qin Jiran did not stop. With an expressionless face, he passed through the layers of obstacles and went straight into the company, much to the dismay of many reporters. Such a best actor was really not giving them any face, but what could they do about it? As long as they relied on the dia industry, they could not afford to offend him. After all, he was backed by too many influential figures—they were not adversaries he could be trifled with!
"Have you heard? Tiansheng dia seems to be getting acquired," a reporter ntioned during a lull in the activity, as they gathered to chat.
"Why are you bringing this up all of a sudden? I’ve heard a bit about it, but it probably isn’t true, right? After all, Tiansheng dia is a formidable company. How could they just be acquired like that? It must be a rumor," another reporter said in disbelief.
"I ntion it because it’s relevant. You know about Lord Best Actor who just went in, right? Rumor has it that he is behind the acquisition," the reporter who brought up the topic initially said mysteriously, pointing at the entrance of Splendid Entertainnt as if he knew so significant secret.
But in reality, if even a junior reporter knew about it, it was no longer a secret, at least not to many who were well-inford.
The situation had developed to a point where it wasn’t that Qin Jiran’s side had leaked any information, but rather there was no longer a need to conceal it. Although the simultaneous acquisition of Wang dia had not yet been successful, Qin Jiran had already obtained more than half of Tiansheng’s shares, becoming its largest shareholder. It was a significant setback for the Wang Family, cutting off one of their arms in the dia industry. However, both the Su family and Wang’s had suppressed the news, preventing it from becoming widely known.
