Inside Xiao Su Nuo’s room, two faces remarkably alike—one large, the other small—were looking at each other. Xiao Su Nuo’s expression morphed from panic to delight, then added touches of shyness and anticipation, while Su Yanmo’s gaze shifted from amusent to indulgence, his deanor filled with a tender warmth.

"... Are you, you my Daddy?" Xiao Su Nuo had woken up to find himself in soone’s arms and had blurted it out in sheer surprise, startling everyone in the Su family. But when he lifted his head and saw the man who was holding him, his expression imdiately changed to one of ecstatic surprise. He had seen photographs of his dad that his mother had shown him, and the man in front of him was identical; so the clever Xiao Su Nuo recognized him right away.

And just like Mom had said, Daddy really did look a lot like him! It must be that thing called ’genetics’ Mom ntioned! But what exactly was ’genetics’? Xiao Su Nuo thought he would probably understand when he grew up.

"Hmm." Su Yanmo nodded and with a palm larger than Xiao Su Nuo’s head, he fondly ruffled his son’s hair. His son was indeed very smart to have recognized him at first glance.

After receiving a positive response, Xiao Su Nuo beca both excited and nervous. He pinched the blanket that covered him and blinked with hopeful anticipation, "Then, can I call you Daddy?"

What it feels like to be heart-wrenched, Su Yanmo was experiencing it now. It was like when Yanyi first called him brother as a child, making his whole being soften. Now the forr sister-obsessed man also took on the identity of a son-obsessed father, an existence he vowed to protect forevermore in his life.

"Hmm!" Su Yanmo felt, this definitely was the best Christmas gift he had ever received.

"Daddy!" Upon getting the affirmation, Xiao Su Nuo imdiately flashed a radiant smile. He, at last, had a dad!

When the Su family mbers rushed into the room, they were greeted by the scene of Xiao Su Nuo smiling so brilliantly, and then they saw Su Yanmo beside him, his expression stoic, yet his eyes soft with warmth. The developnt of events was then self-evident.

The Su family mbers were clearly satisfied with Su Yanmo’s reaction. They entered and then tactfully exited the room, leaving space for the father and son eting for the first ti.

At breakfast, Xiao Su Nuo was led downstairs, holding Su Yanmo’s hand. His seat was arranged next to his father, between him and Mother Su.

Xiao Su Nuo was very polite and greeted everyone after sitting down, "Great-grandfather, Grandpa, Grandma, little auntie, little auntie’s husband, good morning."

Having greeted everyone, Xiao Su Nuo looked up at his father, as if asking whether he did well and also seemingly hoping for praise.

Su Yanmo nodded, extending his large palm to pat Xiao Su Nuo’s head, and Xiao Su Nuo instantly smiled happily. This smile was free of any restraint, pure and adorable, which relieved the Su family mbers; they really didn’t want to see Xiao Su Nuo restrained like he was the day before, as such a child was truly heartbreaking!

"Xiao Su Nuo is so well-behaved, co and eat. If there’s anything you want to eat, tell Grandma, and I’ll get it for you. How about starting with an egg?" Mother Su said, peeling an egg for Xiao Su Nuo and placing it in front of him. It had been so long since she took care of a little child, she truly missed it.

"Thank you, Grandma, I can eat by myself. You eat too," Xiao Su Nuo said and began eating the egg. Though he tried earnest to not make a ss, a bit of yellow still stained the corners of his mouth. Mother Su was about to help wipe it off when she saw Su Yanmo with a napkin already attending to Xiao Su Nuo’s mouth.

This scene was witnessed by all the Su family mbers, and they showed expressions of relief. Seeing the father and son get along so well, they too were at ease.
