Then Su Yanyi found out that soone was planning to give her a gift. She just wondered what it would be? Would it be delivered today or tomorrow? Should she pretend not to know? Otherwise, the surprise would be spoiled.
Recently, Su Yanyi had been reading quite a few books about emotions. Her emotional intelligence had obviously improved significantly; she even knew not to ruin surprises!
"Garlic Chicken, Spinach Shrimp, Yam Pork Rib Soup, you must be hungry, right? It’s almost ready."
"Mhm, I’ll wait for you." Su Yanyi found a chair to sit down on the side, truly waiting.
And at that mont, the usually invisible Zero Zero One could not help but speak up.
"Master, cooking together with the Male Master is a great way to foster feelings!" The soft, tender voice was filled with imasurable expectations.
"I don’t know how to cook," Su Yanyi bluntly replied, without a trace of embarrassnt.
"You could learn, though! There are so many recipes in the System, many of which are quite rare. If you’re willing to learn, there will absolutely be no problem!" Zero Zero One looked at Su Yanyi with a gaze full of trust.
"But the problem is I’m not willing to!" Su Yanyi answered very calmly. She never had any expectations for cooking or anything related to it.
Two black lines appeared on Zero Zero One’s virtual image. Did the Master have to be so direct? What a waste of System functions, right?!
"Master, the System functions are very useful! There’s extensive dical knowledge, and there are very rare recipes from ancient and modern tis from all over the world. It also has various assistive functions. Yet you’ve never used them, Master. The functions you’re currently using do not even make up one-thousandth of the full System. Do you dislike it that much, Master? Otherwise, why don’t you use it more?" Zero Zero One had been holding this back for a very long ti. The Master’s neglect made it feel rejected, and it was genuinely heartbroken!
"I do dislike it a bit!" Zero Zero One looked sowhat pitiable, but its soft, mushy appearance was obviously not enough to sway Su Yanyi’s heart, so she continued to respond with indifference.
Zero Zero One’s doughy face instantly crumpled, its large eyes brimming with moisture, looking as if it might cry but not shedding a tear—utterly pitiful.
"Master, are you abandoning ? I’m really useful! I’ve been working very hard to help you pursue the Male Master. You can’t abandon !" Zero Zero One implored pitifully.
"Speak normally!" Su Yanyi remained unmoved, but inside she was dissatisfied with Zero Zero One’s words. How could it be described as her pursuing Qin Jiran? It was clearly this man who was pursuing her. Silly System, all it could do was act cute!
"Uh! I’ve been speaking normally all along!"
"Yanyi, dinner is ready, co on." Qin Jiran had finished cooking and was bringing the dishes out while calling for Yanyi.
Su Yanyi looked at the two dishes left on the table, thought for a mont, and helped to bring them over. Seeing this, Qin imdiately took them from her, placing them on the table and said, "You should sit down, I’ve got this."
At this point, Su Yanyi was very obedient, sitting down in her designated spot, waiting for Qin Jiran to serve her rice and soup.
Zero Zero One, witnessing this scene, could only sigh resignedly and encourage itself. Turning the Queen into a virtuous wife was indeed a very daunting task, a long and arduous journey. It would keep on striving!
But still, Male Master, show so spirit, please! If you do all the work of a virtuous wife, what is left for her to do? Surely you don’t intend for her to beco an idle wife!
The pleasant dinner ended, and the two sat together watching TV in the upstairs living room. Qin Jiran prepared fresh fruit juice, and Su Yanyi casually sipped it while giving Qin Jiran a seemingly casual glance. The man looked composed, which ant the gift wouldn’t be given today.
