"My new movie." Perhaps the atmosphere was so pleasantly intoxicating that Qin Jiran couldn’t help but take Su Yanyi’s hand. He didn’t grip tightly, just enough that Su Yanyi could easily pull away if she wanted.
But Su Yanyi didn’t pull away, instead, she glanced at Qin Jiran with so surprise and let him hold her hand.
"Let Mingyang take charge of the promotion for the new movie. If the box office performance isn’t up to scratch in the end, he can make up for it with his own money." Thinking of the new movie, the first thing Su Yanyi considered was naturally the box office, for she was a businesswoman, and earning money was her primary goal.
"President Su, you must be joking. A movie starring Best Actor Qin failing at the box office? That’s impossible." He Mingyang was utterly confident in the new movie. With Qin Jiran in the lead role, there could be no problems.
Su Yanyi looked at Qin Jiran and nodded in agreent, "That’s true."
Qin Jiran had been listening calmly to He Mingyang’s praises, but when he saw Su Yanyi’s serious nod of agreent, he felt suddenly bashful, his ears tinged with red, and his grip on Su Yanyi’s hand grew stronger.
All along, Yanyi’s recognition and praise were what he valued most, as well as his constant goal and motivation for effort.
By the ti the banquet ended, it was quite late. Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran stayed over at the Su Family Mansion again, sharing the sa room, the sa bed, and still under the sa blanket.
Although Qin Jiran still felt a bit restrained, the overwhelming feeling was one of warmth. Even doing nothing at all, he felt incredibly happy and content.
Under the blanket, Qin Jiran carefully took Su Yanyi’s hand, gripping it a little more firmly than he had in the banquet, as if the distance between Su Yanyi and himself was becoming closer.
"Tomorrow, the issue with the Wang family and the Qin family will probably hit the headlines. The reporters might find you, so be prepared."
