Although Qin Jiran had already shared a bed with Su Yanyi once before, he found himself even more nervous than the last ti, after all, he didn’t know her sleeping habits were so restless previously. Now that he knew, he couldn’t help but care.
After Su Yanyi had taken her bath, she handed the towel to Qin Jiran very naturally, who silently took it and began to earnestly dry her hair.
Standing behind Su Yanyi, Jiran’s lips moved as if he wanted to say sothing, but he felt it wasn’t appropriate to speak up. He really wanted to suggest that Yanyi sleep on the bed while he took the couch, but recalling her attitude last ti, he was forced to swallow the suggestion.
Then, glancing at the blanket on the bed, Qin Jiran inevitably thought of that classic joke about being a beast or worse than a beast, and suddenly felt overwheld. He didn’t want to be a beast, but he absolutely didn’t want to be less than a beast either!
Jiran was sowhat conflicted, and his movents slowed down. Su Yanyi felt the change and turned her head, pulling on her own hair to look at him—just in ti to catch his troubled expression, which made her laugh.
"What are you thinking about to make such a face?" Su Yanyi asked very curiously, genuinely wanting to know what was on Qin Jiran’s mind that would produce such an amusing expression.
The tips of Jiran’s ears turned red instantly. Naturally, he couldn’t reveal his thoughts; what if she really saw him as a beast? But with Yanyi’s probing, giving no answer clearly wasn’t an option.
"Well, would it be appropriate for to help your father and elder brother?" Qin Jiran’s mind raced and he asked another question that was on his mind.
"Of course it’s appropriate. You call them father and elder brother, and these titles are not for nothing." Previously, Qin Jiran wouldn’t address her father and elder brother like that in private. This was indeed a form of progress.
After a mont of silence, Jiran nodded very seriously. The elders and Yanyi trusted him, and he would work hard; he wouldn’t let anyone down.
The Su family was one of the Four Great Families in City A, and among them, there were even claims that the Su’s were the foremost. The mbers of the Su family were relatively low-key and independent in their dealings. Aside from Su Enterprises, there were also other industries in different fields, such as Mother Su’s Dragon dia and Su Yanyi’s Splendid Entertainnt, and now, there was also the SQ company managed by Qin Jiran.
These, however, were just the visible strengths owned by the Su family. The covert information network they controlled around the world was undoubtedly many tis more powerful than what was visible, and to say they were a match for a country was no exaggeration.
Old Master Su, being the eldest elder of the Su family, had a birthday that was the focus of many. The Su family mbers didn’t really want to make a fuss over it, but due to everyone’s enthusiasm and having been forcibly visited to celebrate nurous tis, they eventually took the initiative to organize the celebrations, providing an open opportunity for everyone to give gifts.
Starting from the morning, many people gradually arrived before the birthday feast even officially began. Among these guests, the most noteworthy were the elderly from both ho and abroad, each accompanied by a group of bodyguards, as if they were afraid others wouldn’t know they were important figures.
In the living room, Su Yanyi stood to one side with a peculiar expression, staring straight at the people on the couch.
Sitting beside Old Master Su was a person, and everyone who ca to pay respects was introduced to him. Such an obvious intention ensured that those visiting took this new mber of the Su family very seriously.
In the three years since the previous birthday celebrations, many knew that the Su family had gained a son-in-law and even saw him at events of this sort held by the Su’s, but seeing him didn’t an they recognized or accepted him. It was only now, with Old Master Su personally introducing Qin Jiran to the guests, that he truly entered the core of the Su family and beca soone whom outsiders regarded as a real mber of the Su Family.
