Nie Yinzhi deeply self-analyzed and eventually concluded that it was only natural for her to develop an attraction to Gu Jiang. Who could resist soone who looked so exquisite? Nie Yinzhi had to admit that when she pinned Gu Jiang beneath her, she felt not only a craving for his blood but also a secret thrill.

Gu ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Jiang had already captured her stomach, and now he had stirred her heart. If Nie Yinzhi didn't take so action, she wouldn't be herself.

She had gradually gotten used to her identity as a vampire and learned to control her desires. The bloodline she inherited was ancient and noble; as a pure-blooded vampire, she no longer needed to survive on blood.

Gu Jiang's blood, to her, was probably like milk tea—not essential, but irresistibly alluring. If Nie Yinzhi wanted to quit her "milk tea" addiction, she could easily follow the example of her ancestors and feed on blood only once a month. However, she never revealed this to Gu Jiang.

She continued to play the role of an innocent, reckless little bat, craving blood every few days and pinging him on WeChat to ask if he was available. After Gu Jiang replied, Nie Yinzhi would teleport to his side or pull him to her location through the amber necklace.

They hid in countless corners, pressed closely together. Sotis it was absolutely safe, other tis they might get caught at any mont, creating a headline-worthy scandal.

During Gu Jiang's movie promotional events, they hid in narrow dressing rooms with a flimsy door separating them from a bustling crowd of staff.

Nie Yinzhi stared at his half-finished makeup and leaned in to kiss his neck. Gu Jiang habitually held the nape of her neck, his fingers gently stroking as he whispered in a low voice, "Don't leave a mark."

Nie Yinzhi humd in agreent and licked the marks she had left, healing them. The breaths near her ear were light but erratic, growing increasingly so.

"Is it because of my saliva..."

Gu Jiang covered her mouth with his hand. "Stop talking." He leaned against Nie Yinzhi, and after a while, he pushed her away, tucked the amber pendant into his collar, and neatly buttoned his white shirt, straightening his western clothing.

Nie Yinzhi teleported out of the dressing room silently, holding her phone to watch his promotional event livestream. She stared at his tightly buttoned collar and sent him a WeChat ssage, "You didn't wipe it off earlier, did you?"

After a while, Gu Jiang replied, "Mhm."

Nie Yinzhi participated in a variety show, a horror-thed one where she played her own role, drawing the part of a vampire. To earn a sip of syrup-mixed "blood," she worked hard to complete the tasks.

After tasting the fake stuff, she naturally began to miss the real thing. She sent Gu Jiang a ssage while hiding from the caras.

Soon, she led three or four cara operators into the haunted house. Taking advantage of a montary distraction, she wrapped Gu Jiang in her exaggerated vampire cloak and hid him in a tal cabinet without a fixed cara.

Outside the cabinet, hurried footsteps and the terrified screams of other guests echoed through the haunted house.

In the pitch-black darkness, Gu Jiang cupped her chin, slipping his fingers into her mouth to remove her fake vampire fangs, which she had worn for the role.

"My fangs... they're stuck," Nie Yinzhi's fangs got caught in the false teeth, and she spoke with a lisp, tears almost spilling from the pain.

"Stay calm, retract them first," Gu Jiang felt around in her mouth, fingers brushing against her teeth as he tried to pry the fake teeth off.

Nie Yinzhi whimpered in pain, the sound just barely audible to passing guests, who panicked, screaming in terror outside. Silence followed, and then the other guests started betting on rock-paper-scissors, with the loser agreeing to check what was inside the cabinet.

Nie Yinzhi hastily grabbed the cabinet door as the guests tugged on the handle outside. "Is this cabinet locked? I can't open it. Okay, let's check elsewhere."

"No, the locked cabinet is more suspicious. Here, take this stick and pry it open."

The two guests created a hilarious scene, writhing in exaggerated fear.

Nie Yinzhi was both in pain and frustrated, wanting to teleport Gu Jiang away.

Gu Jiang seed to anticipate her plan and whispered in her ear, "If you don't get this out, what happens if you're caught on cara?"

In the excellent night vision of a vampire, Nie Yinzhi watched as Gu Jiang pulled his hand back, biting his own finger to break the skin before reinserting it into her mouth. The sweet taste of blood distracted her, and Gu Jiang seized the mont to grip the false teeth and yank them down forcefully.

Nie Yinzhi flinched in pain, fingers scraping against the tal cabinet, making a high-pitched screech that finally scared the two guests and the cara crew away.

“What do you think?” Gu Jiang whispered.

Nie Yinzhi, her eyes brimming with tears, pouted and said aggrievedly: "You might as well pull out my fangs too."

Gu Jiang remained silent for a mont, then placed his palm on her back and gently patted her. The iron cupboard was only big enough for the two of them to be extrely close, which practically amounted to a hug.

Nie Yinzhi's eyes glowed faintly in the darkness as she leaned against him, not wanting to leave his embrace.

She had been gone for too long, and the staff began searching for her. Nie Yinzhi reluctantly whined, “I don’t want to go to work, I don’t want to work…”

Gu Jiang thought for a mont and said, “I’ll be free after ten tonight, and I have the day off tomorrow.”

Nie Yinzhi lifted her gaze and quickly responded, “Great, great! I’ll be free too!”

It was the first ti that the two of them had co together not for the purpose of drinking or being drunk.

After recording the show, Nie Yinzhi examined her schedule and asked her agent to arrange a day off for her. Sister Liu, sensing sothing unusual, asked her what she needed the vacation for, suspecting she was in a relationship. Who was it with? She wanted to get a clear picture of the situation and even considered imdiately booking a flight over to talk so sense into Nie Yinzhi. After all, her career was on the rise, and she couldn’t afford to get distracted by romance. If there was really a situation, she needed to be inford in advance so the company could prepare the necessary public relations asures.

Nie Yinzhi endured Sister Liu’s lecture for quite so ti. When she t Gu Jiang that evening, her ears were still ringing. She thought to herself that if her agent ever found out her partner was Gu Jiang, she might as well be prepared to burn so incense together.

From that point on, things beca quite natural. Nie Yinzhi’s phone now stored not only her own schedule but also Gu Jiang’s.

His schedule was much more relaxed, mostly limited to filming and promotional periods, leaving him plenty of free ti once the work was done. Gu Jiang rarely participated in variety shows or events, a habit he had maintained since his debut.

In the past, whenever Nie Yinzhi had so free ti, she would make sure to et up with her friends and unwind.

Now, whenever she had spare monts, she would spend them with Gu Jiang. His ho was a far cry from Nie Yinzhi’s sterile, model-like apartnt. It was filled with a cozy, lived-in charm. From the living room to the balcony and every bedroom, there were soft, inviting sofas where one could collapse at any mont.

He also had a collection of books, not just related to acting, but seemingly about everything under the sun. Many of them appeared to have been read.

In the garden, there was a patch of greenery with scattered, tiny flowers. The plants didn’t seem to be regularly pruned, giving the garden a sowhat untad appearance.

Nie Yinzhi touched one of the small yellow flowers and asked, “What kind of flower is this?”

Gu Jiang pulled out his phone, snapped a few pictures, and used an app to identify them, showing her the results. “Half-leaved lotus, sunflowers, forsythia, wildflowers…”

Nie Yinzhi said: “They’re just growing on their own, aren’t they?”

Gu Jiang replied very seriously: “I sowed so flower seeds.”

Nie Yinzhi: “…”

Gu Jiang also had a luxurious ho theater, with a layout resembling a private cinema. Then, for so reason, the atmosphere shifted into a teaching mode.

The screen played a classic film, while Gu Jiang took the opportunity to analyze the scene with her, discussing the actors’ emotional expressions, subtle movents, facial expressions, and lens techniques.

They spent an entire afternoon watching a single movie—once through, then another round with his detailed comntary. Before he analyzed each scene, he would ask her how she would act in that situation if she were the actress. Then he would assist her in acting out the scene.

As the film reached the mont when the male and female protagonists began to tentatively flirt, their lips almost touching, Nie Yinzhi unconsciously rubbed at her sleeves, growing increasingly restless and flustered.

She felt like a nervous pupil awaiting her teacher’s question, fidgeting in her seat, already rehearsing in her mind, and nervously swallowing.

The air was filled with an unspoken tension and subtle intimacy, mirroring the mood on the screen, creating a strange, harmonious atmosphere of its own.

Gu Jiang glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, the corners of his lips fighting to hide his smile as he agreed, “Do you want to give it a try?”

“Sure,” Nie Yinzhi responded quickly, imdiately realizing she had answered too eagerly. There was no need for any play-acting or emotional tension; she had already fallen completely. She pretended to be nonchalant as she explained, “I’m about to start filming a new project that includes a kissing scene.”

Gu Jiang smiled faintly, a knowing glimr in his eyes. He had already read her script and nodded, “Don’t worry, the male lead is a seasoned actor who will guide you.”

Nie Yinzhi looked at him and asked, “Then you must be quite experienced too?”

“Not bad,” Gu Jiang murmured, moving closer. His warm breath brushed against her nose as Nie Yinzhi tilted her head back, closing her eyes and leaning forward. Then she heard Gu Jiang quickly say, “The emotion’s not right, Nie Yinzhi.”

If the female lead in the movie were as proactive as she is, the story might have ended with the couple having three kids within the remaining hour of the film.

She didn’t want to act; she just wanted to kiss him!

Nie Yinzhi opened her eyes in displeasure and found Gu Jiang gazing at her with a playful smile. His hand pressed against the nape of her neck, and their warm, soft human lips t.

In the movie, the female lead had panicked and fled, failing to complete the kiss.

But in reality, Nie Yinzhi was pinned against the back of the sofa by Gu Jiang, and the kiss was thorough.

During a brief pause in the kiss, Nie Yinzhi glanced at the screen, her almond-shaped eyes curving into crescents. “The mood’s off, Gu Teacher,” she teased.

“You’re distracting ,” he replied.

Nie Yinzhi bit his lip hard, tasting the sweet tallic tang of blood, then flicked her tongue over the wound.

Gu Jiang raised an eyebrow. “Hungry from all that kissing?” he quipped.

“Isn’t saliva supposed to have an aphrodisiac effect?” she retorted, her interest piqued.

Gu Jiang paused, then leaned back into the sofa, covering his face as he burst into laughter.

Nie Yinzhi: “???”

When he cald down, Gu Jiang still felt the need to clarify, “I don’t need any aphrodisiac to be... capable.”
