"Bruce, you bought a great gift yesterday. Thank you. My parents liked it," Owen said with a smile while looking at Bruce.

Bruce tried hard to maintain a calm expression and said, "President, you’re too polite. I’m very happy that your parents like it."

"Yeah. By the way, Bruce, you can get off work early tonight and go ho to spend ti with your family." Owen paused at Bruce’s words and smiled before turning into the office.

As soon as Owen left, Bruce was the only one left standing.

Bruce touched his chest and thought, "When working for President Owen. You have to be ntally strong enough, or you might break down from your anxiety."

When Bruce finally cald down, he thought of sothing important.

The type and packaging of the wedding candies had been chosen. The departnt responsible for the gift had sent the samples to the company.

So Bruce cheered himself on again, then picked up the sample on the table and headed for Owen’s office.

There was a knock on the door.

Owen said, "Please co in."

Bruce gently pushed open the door at Owen’s response.

"Bruce, what’s wrong?" Owen asked Bruce, who walked into the office.

"What’s that in your hand?" Owen asked dubiously while looking at the bag in Bruce’s hand.

"President, this is the wedding candy you ordered to prepare a few days ago. The gift departnt has already prepared the samples and the types of candy. Please have a look." Bruce summoned the courage to place the sample on Owen’s desk, then quickly took a few steps back.

Owen put down his pen and picked up the gift box in front of him.

He first looked at the appearance, then opened it to look at the type of candy inside.

"Not bad. Let’s get ready like this. Calculate how many people there are in the company and give them one serving each. Also, prepare a few more for . I want to take them away," Owen said firmly.

"Yes, CEO." Bruce quickly picked up the sample box on the desk and hurried out.

By the ti he stood outside the office door, Bruce still found it strange that Owen was so easygoing today. He didn’t throw a tantrum or criticize him. He actually agreed.

But then again, it seed like President Owen hadn’t been acting normal since he’d t Miss Anita.

But he didn’t dare to let Owen know, or he wouldn’t be able to keep his salary for the month.

Anita’s school experint ended early today. Coupled with the fact that she felt uncomfortable wearing the sa clothes for two days, she went ho first.

In the afternoon, Bruce had already prepared the few wedding candies Owen wanted and sent them into Owen’s office.

Owen picked up the wedding candy again after Bruce left. The more he looked at them, the happier he felt, so he wasn’t even in the mood for work. He got off work early and went ho.

He thought that Anita might get off work later today, but when he reached ho, he found that she was already at ho.

She asked dubiously, "Owen, you’re back so early today?" Anita had just showered and put on her pajamas when she saw Owen already standing at the door and changing his shoes.

"I’m not busy with the company today, so I’m back early," Owen said a little nervously while glancing at Anita, who had just showered.

Actually, what he had just said was not true. There were quite a lot of things going on in the company today. When he left, he saw that Bruce and the rest were still working overti.

"Have you eaten? I left you so food," Anita said with a smile. She hadn’t noticed Owen’s nervousness, and she didn’t know if Owen was telling the truth or not.

"Thank you." Owen changed his shoes and stood up to wash his hands first. Then he sat at the dining room table and while eating, he thought about what excuse he should use to give this wedding candy to Anita.

But even until he finished his al, he couldn’t think of anything.

When he finished cleaning up the kitchen, he realized that Anita was already sitting on the sofa in the living room. She seed to be holding sothing in her hand. When he got closer, he realized that it was the wedding candy he had brought back today.

Owen was instantly nervous. "I... I asked Bruce to prepare this. Do you like it?"

"Is this the wedding candy you told about a few days ago?" Anita said as she opened it.

"Right. I brought back a few. I’ll give them all to you if you like," Owen said while feeling a little anxious.

The last ti, Anita had rejected him once. He was actually worried that Anita would refuse again this ti.

"Thank you. I like it a lot," Anita said with a smile while glancing at Owen.

Owen smiled imdiately when he heard Anita say that she liked it.

"It’s good that you like it. Try the variety of sweets around here. They’re all delicious things I’ve tried. This chocolate tastes great." Owen leaned closer to Anita, like a salesman familiar with the rchandise. He lowered his head and pointed at the chocolate in the box.
