"Mr. Owen, are you sure you want to enter a contractual marriage with ?" Anita finally said.

"Miss Anita, yes. I’ve been thinking about this for days. Don’t worry, you don’t have to worry about monetary compensation at all," Owen said.

Anita felt uncomfortable, but she forced herself to smile. "Yes, don’t worry. I’m definitely not worried. After all, I already owe you so much."

Owen looked across at Anita and suddenly felt bad. He began to wonder if he had made the right decision.

But now that he had said it and Anita had agreed, it seed like he could no longer backtrack. He could only try his best to make it up to Anita in the future.

"Mr. Owen, do you have any requests on my end?" Anita asked again.

"No. My parents like you a lot. We can get married as soon as possible," Owen replied quickly.

"So you chose because your parents like . Is that so?" Anita said self-deprecatingly. Although she already knew the truth, Anita still wanted to ask.

"Well, not really. Anita, you... you’re a good girl. Of course, if you don’t really want to..." Owen stuttered. Looking at Anita, who was clearly uncomfortable, Owen really didn’t know what to say.

"Sure, I’m okay with it. Happy cooperation, Mr. Owen." Anita couldn’t sit still after hearing what Owen had just said. With that, she stood up, took her bag, and prepared to leave.

"Miss Anita." Owen watched as Anita got up and walked out the door, then instinctively followed her.

"Miss Anita, are you not feeling well? Let send you back," Owen said as he caught up with Anita.

"Mr. Owen, there’s no need. I have sothing to deal with. Let’s leave it at that." Anita was about to leave, but stopped after two steps.

Owen thought Anita had agreed to his suggestion to send her away, so he hurried to her side.

"Oh, yes, Mr. Owen, there’s sothing I need to tell you. I might need you to buy my house," Anita said.

"The house? Sure. No problem." Owen didn’t know why Anita had ntioned the house so suddenly, but she must have run into so kind of conundrum, so Owen agreed without thinking.

"Okay, then this is the first step of our contract. I hope we will continue to have a good collaboration in the future," Anita said while pretending to be nonchalant.

"Well, I hope so," Owen said while looking at Anita’s outstretched hand. He took it hesitantly.

"Rember to contact when you determine the wedding date." After saying that, Anita released her hand and turned to leave without any reluctance.

Owen looked at Anita’s back as she left, and for a mont, he didn’t know whether this decision was right.

Anita slowly walked through the crowded streets alone. It was the weekend, and there were many couples shopping. Couples holding hands could be seen everywhere. The more Anita looked, the sadder she felt.

Unknowingly, she walked to a store window that sold clothes. After Anita stood still, she looked at herself in the glass window. She was wearing a beautiful long dress and her hairstyle looked gorgeous. But why was her expression so unhappy?

She left the house happily in the morning, but unexpectedly, she returned in such a sorry state. She thought that Owen was going to say sothing important to her, but she didn’t expect it to be a contractual marriage.

Annita smiled and said to herself softly, "Turns out you’re quite valuable."

Besides, marrying him wasn’t a loss for her at all. It was much better than the breakup with that jerk Eric.

He took all her savings and dumped her to hook up with a female celebrity. So why shouldn’t she throw herself at Owen? Besides, Owen was so much better than that jerk Eric.

Anita comforted herself as she walked.

After returning to school, Anita resud her studies and completed experints. Anita didn’t tell her parents about this contractual marriage, nor did she tell her good friend, Ethan.

Two days after the two of them t, Anita received a ssage from Owen. He said that the contents of the contractual marriage between the two of them were almost finalized and that they needed to arrange a ti to et.

The two of them arranged to et in the small cafe beside Anita’s school. Owen had co with his secretary, Bruce.

This ti, Anita was much more composed, and she could already bring herself to fake a smile.

Owen glanced across at Anita, who seed to be back to her usual self. She looked tough and confident.

This was one of the aspects Owen admired the most about Anita. After a few seconds, Owen reached out and showed Anita the contents of the contract he had prepared.
