"B*tch, you even told that you were married. Aren’t you still hooking up with other n?" Eric cursed softly when he saw this scene.
He thought that Anita and this man might do sothing, but he didn’t expect the two of them to separate at the laboratory door, so he followed Anita all the way to the school gate.
He had wanted to stop her and coax her, but he didn’t expect there to be people on the road all the way. He didn’t say anything until Anita got into the car.
He had so gains today. After following Anita for a day, he finally figured out her trajectory. It was okay. If he couldn’t do it today, he would co again tomorrow. Eric stood at the school gate and spat as he thought about his future plans.
Anita got out of the taxi uneasily and walked ho. She didn’t expect Owen to already be back from work.
"Why are you back so early? Aren’t you going to dinner with a friend?" Owen looked up when he heard the door open and saw Anita, so he smiled.
"Well, my friend’s sister is here, so the al didn’t happen. Why don’t you want to co back early?" Anita smiled when she heard Owen’s words.
"How could that be? Of course I’m happy you’re back. Go wash up!" Owen said while glancing at the ti.
With a nod, Anita headed for her room. When she ca out after washing up, Owen was waiting for her in bed. "How was school today?"
"It’s okay. Things were the sa. It’s just that there’s a lot of progress that I missed. I might be coming ho a little late lately," Anita said with a smile. She thought about it and didn’t say anything about running into Eric at school today. She was afraid Owen would be worried, but she was also afraid he would make a big deal out of it.
"Well, take your ti. Don’t get too tired," Owen said while listening to Anita. He reached out and hugged her.
Anita nodded and lay in Owen’s arms without saying anything else.
Ever since the two of them started living in the sa room, Owen seed afraid that Anita would run away. Every night, he had to hug her tightly in his arms and sll her familiar scent before he could fall asleep.
"Good night, Anita." This night was no exception. Owen still hugged Anita tightly and leaned in to kiss her.
"Good night," Anita said quietly, too.
It was late at night. Owen should be asleep, but Anita hadn’t fallen asleep, because she was still thinking about the figure she saw tonight.
Although she wasn’t sure if it was Eric, Eric’s appearance at school today did worry her.
When he woke up the next morning, Owen sent Anita to school as usual before going to the office himself.
After getting out of the car, Anita first looked around the school gate. When she didn’t see Eric, she slowly walked towards the school. When she reached the laboratory, she still didn’t see Eric.
She started to think that maybe Eric had only co to look for her on a whim yesterday and that after realizing that he hadn’t gotten anything in return, he hadn’t co.
But unexpectedly, her peaceful life ended at noon. After the morning experint, she and Jack prepared to go to the canteen for dinner.
"I’m sorry. Susan suddenly appeared yesterday and I couldn’t go to dinner with you. Why don’t I treat you to dinner tonight?" Jack said with a smile as soon as they left the laboratory.
"It’s okay. It’s just a al. We can eat together at any ti." Anita smiled at Jack. "By the way, that little girl called Susan is really your sister?"
"Yes, what’s wrong? Didn’t I say yesterday that she’s my neighbor’s daughter? I’ve always treated her like a sister," Jack said, puzzled by Anita’s words.
"Uh, but why do I feel that the way she looks at you is a little off?" Anita wanted to tease Jack, so she smiled again.
"What are you talking about? I’ve always treated her as my sister." Hearing Anita’s words, Jack quickly denied it.
"Yes, is that so? But I don’t think Susan treats you as her brother." Anita smiled again when she saw Jack anxiously denying it.
"Gee! You’re thinking too much about it. Susan is a little younger than and has always liked to hang out with , so it seems like our relationship is good. Don’t think too much about it."
"Well, okay." Anita glanced at Jack again and said nothing, but she felt like she had t yet another simple-minded obtuse man. If she didn’t like him, why was she waiting for him at the laboratory door at night?
However, she could not say this. It was inappropriate for an outsider like her to interfere in other people’s matters.
The two of them quickly changed the topic and continued walking.
Eric suddenly appeared in front of the two of them and pulled Anita back. Then he looked at Jack and said, "Anita, who is he?"
