Owen sat in the car and listened to Bruce without responding.
After Owen’s car left, a black car that had stopped at the entrance of the restaurant at so point in ti slowly turned around and drove away from the hotel.
The driver sent Owen ho first before leaving with Bruce.
Owen ca back a little early today. He opened the door and saw that it was still empty, so he couldn’t help but pick up his phone to call Anita.
The mont he turned on his phone, he realized that there was an unread ssage from Anita.
"Owen, you didn’t pick up when I called you. Are you off work?"
After reading this ssage, Owen no longer hesitated. He took off the clothes he had been wearing for the entire day and hung them on the hanger while calling Anita.
He originally thought that Anita would be asleep. After all, with the ti difference between them, it should be ti for Anita to sleep. However, he didn’t expect Anita to pick up after a few rings.
"Owen, you’re back from work?" Anita said in surprise as soon as the video call connected.
Owen had just taken off half of his clothes and was unbuttoning his shirt when he heard Anita’s voice. He quickly turned around and looked at his phone with a smile. "Yes, I just got ho."
Anita had just washed up and laid in bed. Today’s exchange ended a little late, and she had eaten a little too much for dinner, so she didn’t sleep that early.
She happened to receive a video call from Owen. However, she didn’t expect to see Owen taking off his clothes the mont the call connected. The half-naked Owen was seen by Anita.
Her face flushed instantly.
It had been a few days since they had a cold war before they left. Today, she suddenly saw Owen’s naked upper body in the video. For a mont, Anita’s thoughts returned to when they were lovemaking in bed.
She thought of when Owen’s strong body was firmly suppressing her every ti. Anita licked her mouth and suddenly felt a little thirsty.
"Anita, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you talking?" Owen took off his shirt and changed into his pajamas to look at Anita in the video.
Anita’s imagination was originally running wild. When she ca back to her senses, she carefully turned to the screen and realized that Owen had already put on his clothes. She felt relieved.
"Oh, it’s nothing. I just choked on a mouthful of warm water." Anita was embarrassed to say that she had blushed because of Owen’s naked upper body, so she could only lie.
Owen nodded at Anita’s words. Through the video, neither of them could see the other’s true appearance.
Naturally, Owen couldn’t see Anita’s blushing face. "By the way, how was the exchange today? Are you tired?" Owen looked at Anita and asked.
When Anita heard Owen’s words, she imdiately rembered the difficult problem she had encountered at the exchange eting these two days, so she looked at Owen and said, "It was alright. I’m not too tired. It’s just that I don’t understand a lot of their professional terms. I’ve been studying hard these past two days."
"What professional terms? Have you forgotten that I’m also a computer science major and have even studied at Columbia University? If you don’t know them, send them over and I’ll help you take a look." Owen looked at Anita and smiled.
When Anita heard Owen’s words, she rembered and her eyes lit up. That’s right, Owen was also an expert in this area and was even much more knowledgeable than her. Why didn’t she think of it? "Alright, I’ll send it to you later."
"Owen, if you continue to study, you will definitely beco a famous professor in the future." Anita looked at Owen and smiled.
Owen smiled and didn’t reply.
"What’s wrong? I think it’s true. You’re so outstanding, and you’re invited to teach at our school. If you didn’t go to the company to work, you might already be a respected ntor," Anita said when she saw Owen remain silent.
"Anita, not everyone can focus on what they like without stopping to do it. Everyone has their own responsibilities and missions to complete, so there are really not many people in this world who can focus on what they like." Owen thought about Anita’s words. He didn’t know if Annie could understand what he ant, but he still said it in the end.
He knew that Anita felt pity that he didn’t continue to study. However, his father’s health was deteriorating at that ti. He had put in so much effort for the company all these years. If he didn’t co back to take care of the company, the company might have collapsed.
Anita was stunned for a long ti as she listened to Owen.
