With the matter at hand finally resolved, Joan relaxed.

Owen and Anita went to their rooms and washed up before going to bed to rest. There had been too much going on today and they had to go back to work tomorrow, so they didn’t do anything. They just hugged each other quietly and fell asleep quickly.

When they woke in the morning, Owen changed and went to say goodbye to Bieber first. Anita stayed in the room to pack their things.

"Owen, are you leaving? Can’t you stay another two days?" Joan said to Owen.

"Joan, I’m really sorry. I have sothing on at work. We’ll et again next ti, okay?" Owen replied with a smile.

Before Joan could say anything, Mr. Bieber spoke first. "Joan, Owen has to go back to work. Besides, you’re already back in the country. You guys have too many chances to et in the future."

Bieber had already said this, so Joan could only say helplessly, "Then, Owen, can I go to your company to look for you?"

Owen smiled at Joan’s words. "Of course you can. I welco you."

"Okay, then be careful, Owen," Joan said with a smile.

"Yes, Owen, drive safely. Tell when you get ho," Bieber said.

"Well, I’ll get going then, Joan. Goodbye, Mr. Bieber." Owen waved and walked out.

After leaving the room, Owen took out his phone and called Anita first. "Hey, are you done packing?"

"Yes, I’m done. I’ll wait for you at the door," Anita replied on the other end of the phone.

The butler had already helped them get the packed luggage to the hotel reception.

Owen arrived at the hotel reception without delay. After they checked out of the room, they got into the car and drove downtown.

After two days of rest, there was too much work to do. After Owen sent Anita ho, he took a short break and hurried to the office.

Anita was ho alone, so she placed the clothes they had brought out in the washing machine, washed them, and hung them on the balcony. Then, she tidied the house.

After she was done, she poured a glass of warm water and sat on the sofa to look at her phone.

It was only then that she realized that there was an unread ssage on her phone. She didn’t know when it had been sent, but she didn’t have this phone number saved on her phone. She didn’t know whose it was, so she opened it.

"Anita, it’s Eric. You must have blacklisted . I couldn’t get in touch with you. I texted you so boldly because I wanted to apologize to you. I really didn’t an to offend you yesterday."

Anita looked at the ssage without replying. She didn’t know what Eric was up to again.

They had already broken up for so long. If he wanted to apologize to her, he should have said it a long ti ago, but he only told her after they t yesterday.

The motive of this really made Anita suspicious.

Anita, who was lost in her thoughts, was startled by the phone ringing. Her phone fell to the side of the sofa and she quickly looked down.

She looked around but couldn’t find the phone. It was hung up, but less than two seconds later, it rang again. At that mont, Anita found the phone too and quickly picked it up. "Owen."

"Anita, why aren’t you answering the phone? Are you busy?" Owen said.

"No, I just threw my phone on the ground, so I didn’t receive your call," Anita quickly explained.

"I might have to work overti tonight. Don’t wait for . Sleep early," Owen said gently.

"Okay, I understand. Be safe when you co back," Anita replied.

"Yeah, okay, I know," Owen said. They said goodbye on the phone and hung up.

Bruce, who was standing beside, was frustrated by the two of them.

He felt that his President’s relationship had improved even more after he had gone out with Miss Anita for two days. He was already at the point where he had to report to her every day when working overti.

"Bruce, what are you doing? Hurry up and get the information for ," Owen said as he looked at the distracted Bruce and knocked on the table.

"Yes, CEO. I’ll go imdiately." Bruce ca back to his senses and hurried out the door.

Owen sat at his desk and smiled at Bruce’s back.

If it had been the old Owen, Bruce might have been criticized today, but Owen was in love recently. Even his mood had improved.

After Anita’s thoughts were interrupted by Owen’s call, she completely forgot about Eric’s ssage.

It was almost twelve when Owen returned from work. Anita was already asleep. Owen washed up gently and hurried to bed to rest.

The next morning, after Owen sent Anita to school, Anita didn’t bother to look at her text ssages. She had missed two days of experintation.

So when she entered the laboratory and saw her partner, Jack, Anita felt a little embarrassed.
