Chapter 2077: The Banished Immortal Change Chapter 2077: The Banished Immortal Change Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation They wanted to enter the jurisdiction of the Myriad Demon Mountain.

First, they had to pass through a dark forest stretching to the mountain’s edge.

This forest was teeming with bloodthirsty demonic beasts that would attack anyone on sight.

For this reason, it was also known as the trial ground.

Only those who passed through this place were deed qualified to enter the Myriad Demon Sect.

Dressed in black, Braydon Neal staggered into the Dark Forest.

Towering trees filled the area, blocking out the sunlight.

The air was heavy with the stench of decay.

Leaping onto a tree, Braydon perched on a branch and scanned his surroundings.

The forest was shrouded in darkness, silent except for the occasional rustle.

Could the Dark Forest be a land of death?

Suddenly, his puzzled gaze sharpened, and his longsword flashed as it unsheathed.

A streak of silver light cut through the air, splitting a red snake, no thicker than a chopstick, clean in half.

“Stealthy…” “So this forest lives up to its reputation—every creature here can conceal its aura.” Examining his pristine sword, Braydon wiped it against the snake’s corpse, leaving faint bloodstains.

Satisfied, he nodded.

In a place as ruthless as the Myriad Demon Sect, one had to adapt.

With a soft push of his toes, Braydon leaped like a wild goose, gliding through the forest.

As he passed a pit, a furious roar erupted from within.

The ground exploded, and a ferocious giant bear charged out.

Braydon sidestepped effortlessly, glancing toward a distant tree, then removed the black flute hanging from his waist.

The mournful sound of the flute echoed, like the wails of a hundred ghosts.

Flapping wings filled the air as crows erged from the darkness, perching on nearby trees.

Their scarlet eyes locked onto the bear, freezing it in place.

Braydon approached the bear, observing the intricate patterns on its fur with interest.

“These markings are quite sothing,” he remarked, patting the bear’s massive body.

“I bet your claw stew would have a one-of-a-kind flavor.” The bear trembled.

Despite its ferocity, it wasn’t foolish.

Surrounded by countless eyes and sensing an overwhelming presence, it dared not move.

“My perception is sharp.

I can detect you from far away,” Braydon said, his tone cold.

“I wasn’t going to bother with you.

Even if you showed yourself, I might have spared you.

But you attacked .

Sigh.” The bear’s eyes turned red as it lunged in desperation.

“Screech!” With a chilling cry, the crow leader descended, its talons piercing the bear’s head.

No matter how it struggled, the bear’s life ebbed away.

“This fur is nice, but I’m not a fan.

You can have it.” At Braydon’s words, the flock of crows descended, stripping the bear’s corpse to bones in seconds.

“Why don’t you co out now?” Braydon called out toward the distant tree.

Silence.

Sighing, Braydon drew his sword and sent it hurtling into the tree trunk.

A soft gasp followed.

“Wait!

I’ll co out!” From behind the tree erged a girl.

Her dusty face hinted at delicate features beneath the gri.

She wore a brocade dress, her jade bracelet glinting faintly in the dim light.

“Who are you?” Braydon asked coldly.

The girl stamred, “M-my sister is an inner disciple of the Myriad Demon Sect.

I ca here looking for her, but scavengers ambushed us.

The guards sacrificed themselves so I could escape.” “Leave, or I’ll take action,” Braydon said, his tone unchanging.

Panicking, she blurted, “You’re strong!

I need your protection.” “Don’t worry, I’ll reward you.

Once we reach the sect and I find my sister, you can na your price.” Braydon hesitated, considering her words.

Sensing his doubt, she added, “My cultivation isn’t high.

I won’t be a burden.

Just get safely to the Myriad Demon Sect, and I promise the reward will be worth it.” Finally, Braydon nodded.

“Fine.

But follow closely.

If anything happens, I won’t hesitate to leave you behind.” “Thank you!

I’m Sedona Zaborano,” she said gratefully.

Braydon turned, heading deeper into the forest, the crows dispersing overhead.

Sedona cast a brief glance at the birds before following obediently.

Later that night, Braydon found a cave, lit a fire, and sealed the entrance.

Sedona sat across from him, her disheveled appearance accentuated by her sweat-drenched shoulders and rosy cheeks.

“I don’t know your na,” she said hesitantly, her soft deanor disarming.

“Lige Guay,” Braydon replied curtly, leaning against the cave wall.

“Brother Lige, you defeated that blackpatterned bear so easily.

It’s terrifying, and you even command the night crow—a top predator here.” Her words drew Braydon’s attention.

He wasn’t interested in Sedona herself but in the bear and crow she had ntioned.

“Do you have a handbook on the creatures here?” he asked.

Surprised, Sedona quickly produced a small book from her pocket.

“Here you go, Brother Lige.”
